$20 in season, $15 off season. You can pay at the police station, city hall or at the self pay station. (NOTE: The envelopes and self pay receipts are under the lid of the rectangular sign to the right of the self pay station. It clearly states ENVELOPES and SELF PAY RECEIPT - just lift the lid.) Nice park, easy access to long pull-through sites. You pull in in alternating directions for the services to be properly placed. There are large trees at the front and back of each site, but they didn't interfere with our entry or exit. The odd numbered sites face the large grassy field, the even numbered sites face the lake. With our RV roughly centered in the site, we needed about 28' of hose to reach the water faucet. See "Observations" below for electric service. There are no sewer hookups at the sites, but there is a dump station by the restrooms/showers near site 7. Most sites had a picnic table and a pedestal grill. I didn't visit the restroom/showers for the women, but my husband reported that the restroom/showers for the men were some of the nicest/cleanest he'd ever seen in an RV park. He also liked that the shower faucet is one you turn on and then off when you're finished, not the type you have to keep pressing every few seconds. There were a few OTA channels. Verizon cell and data service worked well. We would stay again if passing through the area. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed in February and had the park to ourselves. WiFi was working but the restrooms are locked during the winter season and there are no pit toilets or porta pottys. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Used this campgrounds on my way to Colorado and back. Most are pull through sites. You can get water and electric site which is a first come without reservations. The first time the bathrooms did not have toilet paper. Very shaded spots. The city police watch the site. The Wi-Fi is also good and free. Most are gravel sites. Free dump station. The river goes through the site on one side. Have night lights through the center of the sites. Because it is first come, be ready to stop by 3 to 4 pm to get a good spot. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Agree with other reviews. Each site has its own picnic table, fire ring, and barbeque. Every 2 sites share electric and water hookups so when you pull in your site towards lake pick a site with hookups to your left and everything will be on correct side. Otherwise you face the lake with hookups on wrong side or face away from the lake but then your door opens up on your neighbors picnic table. Not a big deal for a 1 night stay. I would stay here again We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

All pull-thru, roomy sites. First come, first serve. Sites were long, wide and level. Scenic view of lake out front window. Quiet and peaceful. Arrived for one night. Ended up staying two more. Not far from truck stop for fuel and fast food. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice city park with water and electric hookups. All utilities worked well. There is an honor box to pay your fee. The park is right next to the Arkansas River which they have named their city lake. Lots of shade, didn't try to get satellite or OTA channels. No sewer but there is a dump station. Right across the street from a very nice park for kids. Very nice fishing dock. Good cell coverage and there is free WIFI that worked very well for us. Every time we got out of it, we did have to sign back in, but it worked very well for us. Would definitely stay here again. There are trains that blow their horns, and they came through at midnight and 7am. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great little city park and campground. Very convenient to I-70, but far enough away that there is no interstate noise. No water during the winter, but the camping fee is great. We were the only ones in the park the night we stayed. Wi-Fi didn't work for us, but we got about 16 TV channels with our antenna. We would stay here again. This is a city park that sits on the edge a little lake right in town. Lots of room between coaches in a very nice setting. No reservations so it's first come first served. Close to everything in Ellis and about a mile through town from the freeway.

Will definitely stay here again... We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Motorhome.

Clean grounds in this small city park. Heard trains before sunset, but none during the night. Since our living space is in the rear, we pulled through at site #1 for a beautiful view of the lake and a stunning church from our rear window. We would return to this lovely setting! Perfect overnight stop at this quiet city campground. Use caution when parking under trees; a large branch fell, just missing our tow vehicle. All sites are pull-thru, large, and appear level. Wi-fi was great. We would definitely return here. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great city-run park for an overnight stay while traveling I-70. It's less than a mile off the interstate (though the local roads in Ellis are old and bumpy for a motorhome) and easy to get to. There are 17 pull-through sites that vary in length with #1 about 100' long and sites gradually getting shorter as you continue down the road. Each has electric and water, and there's a dump station in the center of the park. Since it's a self-service park you pick your site, fill out a form, and drop your money in the box at the entrance. It's first-come first-served (no reservations), but since we arrived on a Monday afternoon in late September we had no problem finding a site. Many sites have 50 amp service, but after we parked we discovered that our site (#1) only had 30 amp, so be aware if you need 50 amp. Utilities are shared between adjacent sites, so you also need to pay attention to which direction you should pull in (alternating). Our site was very wide, and with the utilities arranged between sites our motorhome's electric cord just barely reached the pedestal. The free WiFi was fast when it worked, but we often found it froze for 5-10 minutes at a time or kicked us off. We found it worked great as an overnight stop (if you can risk getting there and finding it full) and would gladly stay again, but we probably wouldn't do a longer stay. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Motorhome.

Park is well maintained with long, level, pull thru sites. All sites have 30 and 50 amp electric, water and no sewer. Dump station is nearby. All sites are on the river and majority have large shade trees. Within walking distance of downtown which apparently has a railroad museum. WIFI is excellent. Toilet was need of cleaning. Did not use the showers. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

FHU, 50amp pull-through site with a view of the lake directly in front of the RV. We arrived the day after the 4th of July weekend so there was plenty of trash remaining from the weekend crowd, dumpster was overflowing and the men's rest room was abominable. Otherwise this was a great stop and a very nice park with plenty of shade. Free WIFI was excellent. Some over the air TV stations were available. We would definitely return if in the area. Some leveling required at the site sloped down toward the river. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Motorhome.
