Nice, clean city park. However, it is near a major intersection so a bit noisy. Took a walk behind the park to the golf course and adjoining park. nice. water, elec, and wifi. About 5 other large RV's/motor homes when we arrived; two of those units used up 2 sites to park an extra vehicle, not sure if they paid for an extra site. Would not normally be a problem in a campground with vacant sites but the wifi signal could not reach our site (10) and the traffic noise was much more evident at our site, would have chosen another site if extra vehicles were not parked there. Did see city truck drive thru the next morning when we were leaving. Maybe the city needs to do a drive thru more often. An ok place for 1 night. - katinfoco

We stayed just overnight to visit a friend. It is a well kept small park area. There are water and electric hook ups only. There is a dump station on site. The city does a good job of keeping it clean and mowed. - Honalee

Spiffed up about 3 or 4 years ago. New showerhouse/restroom building with 2 generic stalls. It's starting to show it's age and use by folks that could care less about it. Was a bit dirty and buggy inside, but everything worked as it should.
Has 50/30/20 amp electrical pedestals in good shape. All sites are paved and fairly level. Water spigots are shared between 2 sites, 2 outlets per spigot.
Great dump station setup but might be a little tight turning for larger trailers, (as is the entrance to the park). Fairly quiet in the evening and overnight, but gets noisy about 6am from traffic. - bobojay

This State Park is remote. It had 4 camp sites 2 of which were in the making. There was nothing there except shade, a small stream and lots of hiking trails, a nature lover's delight, quiet and peaceful. Toilets were pit toilets a quarter mile walk away to the parking area at the trail head. If you have a motor home 24 feet or smaller you will be okay. Maybe a small trailer would also, but otherwise not good. A camper van fine. The ranger guy was weird and acted as if my being there was a bother to him. No personality, very dull and stand-offish. The woman in the office seemed intimidated by him and kept quiet. Very bad vibes. I would not go back there. - Traveler John

We called this Lake Farlington when Dad brought us here as kids. That's still the name of the lake, but for camping you have to look for Crawford State Park. My brother and I would start out fishing, but soon jumped in to swim, when the fish didn't jump onto our hooks. It's a beautiful place, and the campground is quite comfortable and convenient, except that the only sewer connection is for the campground host. (I'll have to think about applying for that position for the summer, when I'm finished with this tour.) The sites are back-in, and perpendicular to the lanes, so getting into them by myself requires a skill I'm yet lacking, but I got there, mainly because all the other sites were empty (no one goes camping in Kansas in December, and for good reason), and I could use them to advantage. Once there, though, this is the kind of park I'd like to stay in, assuming it had sewer. Well-treed, but not overgrown. Long walks around the lake. My kind of place. - Jim Fulton
Aug 2015 - $19.00
Beautiful park built by the CCC, we camped mid week and the campground was not full. No maps were available and it took time to locate where everything was located. There is a road that goes completely around the lake and campsites are spread out. Sites with electric only (no water) are on the side of the campground road closest to the lake, sites with electric and water on the opposite side.
We camped in Rocky Cove and there was no bathroom in the campground so you would have to walk or drive a short distance to Oak Point to get to them. Showers were OK, showing some wear and faucets were broken in some stalls. - Ocotillo

Apr 2015 - $20.00
This is a clean park with traffic noise and train noise.
Sites are wide, near-level grass and gravel, in various lengths. A few have shade or picnic tables. Voltage is good.
Roads are gravel in very good condition.
Verizon LTE works well.
There are strong terrestrial broadcast signals from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and PBS.
No rest rooms, showers, WiFi, cable, laundry, or credit cards. - wjzcbn
