7 Parks near Great Bend, Kansas
Jun 2016 - $45.00
This park is cut into a steep hillside. After some rather interesting interior roads, we were escorted to a level pull through site with moderate afternoon shade. Utilities worked well and Wi-Fi was strong. A good overnight stop. - Alworth

We recently stayed here, we were in a 37' fifth wheel with 3 slides.
Reservation process worked smoothly. We arrived during their lunch hour, and the office closes during lunch. But they had our information posted right on the front door.
Location was easy to find, but if you are driving a larger unit, roads are very curvy and narrow. Postings on the road that units over a certain size aren't advised on the roads.
Our site was great, very private, fairly level. Water, electricity, and sewer all worked ok. Our particular site had large flowering trees around it, which were great for privacy, but also seemed to attract many, many bees. No big deal for us, but if you a concern about bees, you may want to note that when you make your reservations.
Even though the RV park is closed to the highway, we didn't seem to hear any road noise.
There is a pool on site, small but adequate for a quick dip. No hot tub.
We didn't use the wi-fi very much, but had ok reception with our AT&T cell phones.
Many attractions in the area, including caves, state parks, and many wineries. Also, if you are up for a long day trip, can get to the west entrance of Yosemite.
Bathrooms were ok, nothing special, but they were clean. It does seem to be an older park, roads are narrower, but the privacy of many of the sites can't be beat. - KTorline

We stayed with our camping club and were very impressed by the park. It's maintained well, the office staff was super friendly and helpful and the park staff escorting us to the site were great. Water pressure and taste were good and the 50 amp pedestal was well placed. Park staff offered us a 50-30 adapter for our use there when we checked in and instead of digging for mine, I accepted with no charge. WiFi was free and worked well for us and the park was calm and quiet for the weekend. This is a nice place to stay. - Bluestreak
Sep 2016 - $25.00
As the name says, this is a mobile home park that can accommodate some RVs. We changed locations because of the site access and as a result had no wifi. Quiet, surrounded by many mobile homes that appeared abandoned. Site was level and the young guy helping us get in position was very helpful but we won't be back. - Old Geezer
Aug 2016 - $18.00
I'm really sad to write this review as I've stayed at this park several times over the past few years and its been a great park. It is under new ownership and so far, not for the better. Pulling in, I was appalled. The grass was over knee high, the first thing you see after the tall grass is the remains of an abandoned trailer house with weeds, tires and scrap lying around it. The office has a note taped to the door with a phone number to call on it. The RV sites are not mowed, the roads have even bigger pot holes and there is no on site management. Inside the park, there is another abandoned mobile home and a trailer load of tin/scrap. Had I not been familiar with the park and the "usable" sites, and had to be in this area, I would definitely not stop here. No Internet, no cable, no one to help you park. The sites are old mobile home lots and it would be very easy to hit a water faucet, as they're set at ground level. In the tall grass, you can't hardly find the sewer connection. Just such a disappointment to find what was once such a nice park now not worth the stop. - Wandering Daughter
Nov 2015 - $12.00
Rate is for long term stay. The best park about this park is Miss Joy! She is so welcoming and caring, you can't help but feel like family. I've stayed here several times and never had a problem. The sites are spaced out nicely, the power is good. Water pressure can be weak but adequate. The sewer hookups are in the center back of the site and can be awkward to get to. The sites can be a little tricky to get in to depending on where and the size of the coach. If there has been lots of rain, it can be a little soft but Joy manages it so that you get in and out safely. Internet is hit and miss depending on the site you're in but good around the office. It is a mobile home park with rv sites so there are lots of long term residents but everyone seems to exist together just fine. Considering the choices in the area, this is by far the nicest, most spacious park. I'd stay here again. - Wandering Daughter
Aug 2009 - $10.00
This is absolutely a no frills CG/RV park. It's not listed in any CG directory but we found it by asking at a local service station. We were desperate for a CG late in the afternoon/evening and were tired. No showers but that's OK as we are self contained. Some long term residents but we had no problems. We were just glad to find a place to stop for the night. The rate quoted is for a 30amp site with water. - janchuckscw
Jun 2014 - $18.00
Campground is in the back yard of a personal residence. There are no showers or restrooms. It has 3-4 residents living in trailers. One group was very noisy all night working on vehicles, setting of fireworks, had motorcycles and ACT's coming in and out until 1:45 am. I would not stay there again due to noise and lack of facilities. - Jdawg
May 2014 - $14.00
Lots were level and sites grassy with shade trees. We stayed here one week and enjoyed day trips to the wetland areas. People were friendly and although next to a vet clinic we had no problems with barking dogs, mooing cows or winning horses. We enjoyed all the activity. - User490
May 2011 - $18.00
Formerly a Mobile Home Park. No restrooms or showers. We stayed for 1 week. The owneris very nice. We were very comfortable and would stay again. - pamwine
Jun 2008 - $12.00
This is a small area, the sites are just off 10th and MacArthur on a dirt road. The pads are cement strips for the tires and are level. There is only 1 spot with 50 amp service. There are no restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, or playground. There is water, sewer, electric, and cable. A couple of the sites have shade trees. There isn't much to choose from in Great Bend. This is good as a place to use as a home base. I was visiting relatives and it worked for me. - wds
Sep 2014 - $8.00
This is a small City Park located on a pond. You pay on the honor system. Very pleasant place to stay. There are four sites, two across from two. Not exactly a pull-thru but easily accessible. There was a train nearby for one night only. Be sure to go into Ellinwood and take a tour of the underground tunnels with the "mens businesses". - retiredhappy
Aug 2016 - $20.00
This rv park is run by a Recreation center in this small town. The spaces are located behind the rec center and have electricity and water. You are parking on the paved lot and the slots are designed to back in. Since we didn't want to unhook we used site one and pulled along side it. The 50 amp didn't work so we used site 2. We were so thankful to find the park and get out ofthe wind. It was very quiet and along side a big field where we could exercise our dog. - Newbet
Sep 2012 - $15.00
City-owned campground on east side of Hoisington Recreational Center, at 1200 Susank Road Hoisington, KS 67544 This is a bare-bones over nighter. Brand new 30/50 amp power and water hookups are available at the eastern edge of the parking lot behind the Rec building. 12 pedestals are available (if every rig backed in) but as we were the only rig, we just pulled up to Space #1. Perfectly adequate and value priced. - Cheese Queen
