Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $10.00
Stayed here 4 nights with friends from Hill City who had a family reunion. Also has a building with kitchen, rest rooms and A/C. Grounds are hard packed dirt with grass. Roads are hard packed sand and stone. Some sites are within 50' of each other and some are several hundred feet apart and on both sides of a rodeo arena next to the Solomon River. Water is not available at the sites but there is a spigot next to the white building at the entrance road. Electric power was excellent with some sites having 30 amp, some 50 amp and some with 20 amp. Leveling was easy. A perfect place to spend one or two days although eating places are few and not much to see in the area. Other campers pulled in for one night each night that we were there. Payment is on the honor system and is paid at the west side of the rodeo arena that is between the 2 campgrounds. There is a slot on the cinder block building for dropping your money in. It would be better if the county would put up a sign directing you to the payment area. There is no dump station at the campground but the city has one by taking a left when headed north at the first red light beyond the campground. Dump is on the left on the west side of the oil derrick museum. There is no television reception. We camped at Graham County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
