7 RV Parks near Louisburg, Kansas
Jul 2017 - $30.00
In my opinion it is not what it once was according to older advertisements of attractions. Store fronts predominately now self storage except Tuesday night Cowboy Church and small business. Close to US69. Ok for overnight while traveling but not a destination. Nice staff. Stone road (dust) & pads. Small grass strips. Hook ups good. No significant shade. Some long term sites with dogs & stuff. - tzdr8v

We have stayed with there for the last five years during the summer. Things have changed, and not for the best. The Opry has closed. We requested our usual site, and was told things have changed. Our usual overlooking of the pond, the horses, was left open and we were left with a view of the gravel, other rigs and the dust. It seems that if you aren't in the click, you are left holding the bag. Rules are left to the ownership, I found the park receptionist had her dog in the office, a strict violation of the rules. We only had 3 washers for most of the summer until my wife leveled one of them. We travel with a dog, and are courteous to others to pick up our waste. We had to ask to have the dog waste be emptied and it took nearly 3 weeks before it was. I usually don't burn bridges, but feel this park has become to expensive for what is offered. The final straw was when they came to our site and put on a water meter. Ownership complains to much as to what things are costing them, and that should not be disseminated to the residents. I feel as they are getting ready to jack up the prices again. This all started after they purchased a $300k rig and parked it so we all could see. When we started staying here it was $440 month, it is now over $500. With the addition of the new parks in Hillsdale, I feel we will not be coming back. I really liked ownership guess they didn't like me. - Butcherboy13

We called on Sunday morning to make a reservation, the answering machine told you to leave a message they would call back as soon as possible. Nobody called us back until we arrived to the campground.
There was a sign which told us to pick an empty site and come to the office on the next day.
The campground was not nice but OK. The site was gravel, pretty level with a little bit grass on the side.
The showers and the restrooms were locked with a keypad, and I have to ask another guest for the combination.
The toilets and showers were very old and completely dirty. They look like nobody cleans this room for a couple of days.
I visit the office the next day to complete the registration and my payment, and told the owner about the dirty showers and toilets. The answer was that they clean the facilities every Monday and Friday.
To clean campground showers and toilets only two times a week is disgusting!!! - Columbus
Apr 2009 - $20.00
This campground is near a small lake in Paola. Great for fishing and families. Swimming area located about 300 yards from camping. Spots by the water are gravel and shaded. There is a grass area away from the water with electric only but very spacious. New sites with sewer available. Camp host is very nice and easy to work with. Most campers are families from the area just out for the weekend. - Aseck
Jun 2017 - $30.00
Stayed in the Sunflower area which has full hook-ups. That is all that can be said about this park. There are no shade trees, close but lever sites and no rest rooms. Also, there is no direct access to the lake. Maybe in 20 years this could be a nice park but now it is a parking lot. Be aware, Kansas adds a $5.00 per day per vehicle surcharge. There are much better parks in the Kansas City area. - OldeJohn
Jun 2017 - $32.00
We have stayed at this park on two occasions as a stop over for an extended travel vacations. The first time we camped in a tent in the primitive section. Mosquitos were bad and the field was overgrown. This year we returned in a travel trailer. The primitive area had been improved. We camped in a hookup area this time. Nice sites and host was very helpful. The checkin system is extremely confusion from parking, to site reservations/checkin, but the host was super getting us set up for one night. Showers are very nice. We will use this campground again. - JMills
Apr 2017 - $20.00
We're in the Sunflower loop which is all full hookup. Most sites are back in, but there are some big pull through. They are making all sites concrete pads, they haven't gotten to ours, it's gravel. We have picnic table & fire ring. No bathroom here. Lots of hiking. Pets can run the beach. Lake access for swimming & boating. - jcpjane
Jun 2017 - $32.00
We stayed here overnight while en route to central MO for fishing. We have stayed here several times because it is very handy to South KC and to I-49. We were able to get a site with only 24 hours' notice, but wonder if the park is filling up with more full-time residents, maybe making overnight stays more difficult. Grounds needed work. - gbburgess
Jun 2017 - $16.00
Although it doesn't look like much from the highway, this is a very nice RV park. The front spots are pretty close together and plain, but the back area is shaded and very nice (but the back area sites do not have sewer.) We stayed for 3 weeks and paid for a month ($475) because it was cheaper than the weekly rate ($210). The ladies who worked in the front office were both very helpful and kind. The bathrooms are available for a charge for those in full-hookup sites, but are free for those in non-sewer sites. They were the cleanest I'd seen. They're private full baths (sink, shower, toilet) with keypad locks and a deadbolt. Verizon and T-Mobile signals were both great, and accessibility to the highway and Kansas City is easy. - mmhopper
May 2017 - $32.00
Great park with easy access off I49. Staff was very warm and welcoming. We parked here for 4 nights and would definitely stay again. - Terriintx
Jun 2017 - $25.00
We stayed here in a 5th wheel. There are no services or personnel to speak of. A "Manager" roams around but does not seem to know much. We stayed here on Coast to Coast. The manager did not know about the reservation or what it even was. Sites are gravel and small. The park is run down and in need of SIGNIFICANT repairs. It is about 10 miles south of Salina so there is plenty of stores nearby. The road in is dusty and heavily traveled. No WiFi. Verizon phone and Internet worked well. Satellite was easy to get going. Some sites you would not be able to due to trees. We would not recommend this park and won't be back. - BrianStacifulltimers
Jul 2017 - $15.00
This is an old county park that they are gradually restoring. Buildings were relatively new but the picnic tables need replaced. Grassy common areas were all well kept. New playground near bath house with other playgrounds in other loops. No reservations and we had our choice of sites on a holiday weekend. Fishing access within walking distance of our site. - Betsy_02
Jul 2016 - $15.00
Restrooms could use some upgrades but passable. You pick your own sites so if you stay on one that is bad it's your fault. Lady at Marina was nice and friendly. Overall great campground some permanent residents almost all in one area so no big deal to me. I would stay here again. - Bill Dudley
Oct 2015 - $15.00
We stayed here for 2 nights. Lots of different choices for sites. Our cost was for 30 amp & water site. Site 19 is very level. Only problem electric & water on wrong side so we nosed into the site for ease of hookup. We are looking mostly at woods. Attendant at marina very helpful during signup. Best to pick a site and then go to marina office to pay. Some permanents here as CG open all year and no limit on stay at most sites. Very quiet here in October. - Peter K
Jul 2017 - $30.00
The lake is secluded in the heart of the city yet there is no traffic noise. Fishing area was nonexistent. Easy to access the interstates to get around the metro area. I would stay there again. - Betsy_02
Jun 2017 - $28.00
Stayed 14 days. paved roads but gravel sites. Stayed on #67, back in site with full hookups. Our site was not real level until we backed up some more. Water tasted funny so we purchased bottled water to drink. No wifi or cable, however we picked up 60 channels on antenna tv. Site had picnic table and a fire ring. Gated entrance with a code. Camp hosts were not on duty very often so you had to ring a bell to get any help. Ice and wood sold onsite. - TN_VolsFan
May 2017 - $28.00
Very nice park, family oriented and Ranger security on site. Nice interior roads, but some mud in heavy rain. Hiking, fishing and biking available. We would stay there again. - johnmack
