6 Parks near Louisburg, Kansas
Jul 2016 - $29.00
I put "none available" for bathrooms/showers because no where on the map could we find any. We walked all around in the evening, but could not find any. We did read somewhere that there was one, but it required a fee.
The sites were easy to get into, though ours needed leveling (gravel). Staff was very friendly and accommodating (though we should have asked about bathrooms & showers). We did need to write a check, but for that small price, we gladly did! - Martin and Beth
Jul 2016 - $31.00
We have stayed in this park several times in the past. The park is clean and well kept. Services were all spot on with escort to your site. We had a patio site with a patio table. Pull thru site plenty long for 40 foot coach and toad without unhooking. - roaming around
Jun 2016 - $31.00
Beautiful RV park! The park is terraced so every site has a view. Even the dog walk areas are pretty.
They stay pretty full with some full-timers and semi-full-timers so it's best to make reservations. The owner has purchased 15 adjoining acres and is currently working on that to create additional spaces.
I usually consider it a big down side for a park to have a lot of full-time campers but the full-time people in this campground are neat and keep their sites clean.
The sites are long and level.
We would definitely stay here again if the need arose. - User3146
May 2016 - $32.00
We requested a pull thru, but none were available when we arrived, so we ended up in a spacious back in, which had a lot of maneuvering room. All hook ups worked well, internet was just ok. The park is in a rural location, with a couple of towns nearby for supplies . Very quiet at night. The front looks like an old western town, pretty neat. There is a lake for fishing in the park. - ronboett
May 2016 - $32.00
Older established park-gravel sites-good water pressure-wifi-quite country setting-about 10 +- miles south of Louisburg,Ks Would stay again if in the area. - jc2
Mar 2016 - $32.00
This is a very nice park with roomy spaces and driveways that made it easy for our 43' bus to maneuver. The Wi-Fi was good the days we were next to the office. It is a rural location, not far from a major highway, but quiet. The staff was very friendly, efficient and accommodating. There are a number of long term campers, but you would not know it since their sites are very clean and they are quiet. It is 30 miles to a major metropolitan area (Kansas City), but there are most of the necessities either in Louisburg or Paola (10 miles west). The park has a pond and wildlife area. We will be back! - coloradoflyfisher
Oct 2015 - $19.00
We took a "walk -in" site here so the price includes a $3.00 transaction fee. You could see water on 3 sides of you. We used the showers once as they had no heat, with pinpoint shower heads that disbursed the water so much it was cold by the time it hit you. Water everywhere. They were clean, as no one seemed to be using them. We would stay here again as it is close to Kansas City area. - travelboundnbertha
Jul 2014 - $30.00
Very nice park with overall excellent facilities. We stayed here for 5 nights over July 4th. Only negative was shower water temperature regulation: hot or cold. - Bob & Curly
Oct 2013 - $19.00
Be Aware you will be required to give your Social Security Number for the KS park system. This is a lovely state park located near Olathe KS. Sites are level and very roomy. We stayed in Scott Creek Section. Site was a very spacious back-in with water and electric. No Sewer; however, there is a new double dump station close by. The park is very large with many areas as well as new construction on more sections. Facilities include restrooms, showers, laundry room, marina, boat dock, and covered picnic structures. The only drawback is this is a rural area & the signs etc. were poorly lit at night. Otherwise, it's a solid 10. Look forward to staying here again next year. - oldguyinrv
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Sites were very spacious, with no trees which made for good OTA (over the air) channels or satellite reception. Beach was on the other side of the lake which is about a 20 minute drive and it closes early! We arrived on a Sunday afternoon so the campground was not very busy. Check in staff was very friendly. Firewood and ice are available at check in. - Fun finders
Sep 2015 - $28.00
Stayed overnight because our first choice, a private park, was full up for a rally. SO glad we found this park instead. It is a county park, but you'd never know it. we had a pull through with full hook up, including sewer at our site. campsites arranged in loops around huge open fields. The lake is beautiful, but we were enroute to another destination, so did not get to explore local area. Over air TV good, clear line of site for satellite. did not use bath or laundry. - Cricket49
May 2015 - $19.00
Very nice quiet park not a long way from the Interstate. The campground itself is a ways from the lake facilities so you have to drive a ways to get there. It is a bit difficult to find and though I'd been here before it seemed like I must have gotten off the track before we got to the campground. There were only a few other sites occupied while we were there but lots of birds to watch and deer that came through in the evening. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. - oldmac
Oct 2015 - $15.00
We stayed here for 2 nights. Lots of different choices for sites. Our cost was for 30 amp & water site. Site 19 is very level. Only problem electric & water on wrong side so we nosed into the site for ease of hookup. We are looking mostly at woods. Attendant at marina very helpful during signup. Best to pick a site and then go to marina office to pay. Some permanents here as CG open all year and no limit on stay at most sites. Very quiet here in October. - Peter K
Sep 2013 - $14.00
Quoted rate is for FHU. However, there are only a few FHU sites. Most are either electric or electric/water. Nothing fancy here. Lots of permanent residents. But the park is clean and well kept. Close to Route 69 but back a long drive into the park. Abundant deer walking around the campground. We would stay here again if in the area. - phyllen
Apr 2010 - $12.00
Lake La Cygne is the 2600 acre cooling pond for KCPL's La Cygne power station. About 1 mile off Hwy 69 an hour south of Kansas City. The park occupies the western side of the lake and its warmer waters are a year round fishing mecca. Most of the 23 full hookups sites are always occupied. We paid $12 for an e/w site which is a bargain so close to Kansas City. Roads are paved and fair, sites are gravel some being level, and the one bath house has seen better days. Constant noise from power plant and lots of powerboat noise in the early am. Most of campground sits between 2 hills so cellphone coverage is spotty. On air TV reception is poor. Wi-Fi is run by the phone company and although expensive at $10/day, appears good. Some sites drier than others in periods of rain. First come first serve, select site and pay at the marina when open. Overall not bad especially in these frugal times. - cakehead
