Tuttle Creek Cove is a nice COE campground. We were in the Manhattan area for the MSU / KSU football game. This was a convenient location. There were hosts but the gate house was never open. We had reserved and prepaid. So, it was essentially self service entry. We never checked in. Someone dropped camp ground info at our camper. We were in the Lakeshore loop site 16. The bath house is on top of the hill and is not convenient to any sites in the loop. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Motorhome.

We spent 6 days camping while attending a family reunion. Water, power (30 amp), charcoal grill, fire ring, picnic table. Site was gravel and level with enough room for pickup unhitched. Great view of reservoir. About 7 miles from town. Staff was very friendly. Lots of area to walk dogs. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful sunset! Lake view was incredible. Site had no shade and it was hot! A bit awkward backing in with concrete curb on 1 side and post on other side. Nice space between sites. Definitely would stay again. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Motorhome.

Beautiful, spacious site on Tuttle Creek Lake. Easy access to LS loop. Long back- in site #13 had plenty of length and width. Good separation from neighbors. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Motorhome.

Very nice Corps of Engineers park. As is typical there is no sewer connection but there is 50 amp and water. Sites are well spaced but the asphalt pads are on the narrow side. Reservations are easy and the cost good. No wifi. Sufficient cell service though. Nice park overall. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Motorhome.

Great views overlooking the lake but sites are almost all back in and are tight to maneuver. Stayed here as park is very close to Manhattan and KState (and no other decent parks within 15 miles). No sewer hookups but there is a dump station close to the entrance. No wifi or cable either but satellite reception is fine. Make your reservation online (Recreation.gov) as while the staff is friendly they're not very efficient and service is "slow". Select your site carefully as some of the backin sites are very tight for a long rig (preferred sites would be 1-9 and 12-17; site 11 is the only pull through and it gets booked up early on most weekends ). We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Travel Trailer.

Wow, what a deal. If you have an America the Beautiful Golden Age Pass: you get half-off of an already low rate of $18/night. Tuttle Creek Cove COE is a well kept campground with 50 amp power and water. The sites are roomy and well spaced with fire ring, stand-up grill and lantern pole. Excellent power, no voltage dips even on 100+ degree days.

Many sites are well shaded but the branches were too low for our tall 5th wheel. We chose instead a site on top of the ridge where there were no trees. This had us backed in with our rear picture window facing out over the lake. One of the best views we have had out that back window in the four years we have been full-timing. The sunrises were stunning.

Verizon was excellent, LTE for our jetpack with data rates at 6mbs or better. Satellite setup was a breeze. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The city of Manhattan is barely 5 miles away. You can call in a carry-out order to Pizza Hut and then be there 15 minutes before it is ready, not to mention getting it back to the RV piping hot.

Some of the camp loops are on a bluff while other loops are close the water's edge. All of the interior roads are on asphalt and are hilly. The sites are on crushed asphalt and rocks. Due to the terrain, some sites sloop more than others. The electrical box consists of 50/30/15 amp electrical service. The voltage was strong - hovering around 122 volts. This was surprising since it was very hot and all of the rigs were using AC.

Both the utility box and water spigot was located at the back of the site. All sites were back-in except for one site. All of the sites can accommodate a large rig and there was an area within the site to park a boat. All sites have a fire ring, BBQ stand and a picnic table. The one dump station is located at the entrance of the park. Fresh water is also available there.

The bathroom and showers were clean but not very appealing. The park also has a boat launch, swim, and a number of playground areas.

Verizon air card and cell phone reception was good. The gates to the park are closed from 10 PM until 6 AM. It was very quiet at night.

We would come back to this park if we were in the area. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Other than no cable or WIFI, this park is just about perfect - only about 25 spaces all basically with a view of beautiful Tuttle Creek reservoir. All (except one) are back-in spaces but there's generally enough room to maneuver OK. Electric at 50 Amps and water supply is fine. Each space has a nice aluminum picnic table in the space and the spaces are generally fairly flat so leveling isn't too bad. There is only one dump station and it's at the top of the hill (whereas all the spaces are down the hill close to the water) - not a problem but you should be aware of it. The onsite staff are very friendly and try to be helpful. We got our 50% discount from using our federal parks "senior pass" - quite a bargain for a good park. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice paved roads with lots of room to manuver. Below the dam at Tuttle Creek. Very close to Manhattan. Green grass everywhere. Standing water here and there because of the rains lately. during country music festival, therefore really crowded. lots of big trees. During June, lots of cotton off of cottonwood trees(has a tendency to plug up your a/c) We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a federal campground so it has all of the amenities normally offered by such. The park is clean and many (most) sites have a beautiful view of the lake. We stay here when visiting our daughter and family in Manhattan and it serves as a great home base. If it had full hook-ups we would stay longer, but not complaining. We prefer this over the state park on the other side of the dam hands down. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tuttle Creek COE has 4 RV sites available without reservations. When we arrived Wednesday afternoon, all 4 sites were available. Sites 12 and 22 are level enough to set the motor-home jacks without the wheels being off the ground. The 50 amp service is excellent. The water pressure is excellent. No low hanging branches, and paved roads. All sites available for reservation, were already reserved for the weekend. Arrive early in the week if without reservations. AT&T worked adequately for voice calls with one bar. However, A Wilson Amplifier was needed amplify the signal for using the hotspot internet connection with an HTC One, which works great.

The views from all sites of the lake are very nice. Deer in the afternoon, so watch driving. They are somewhat tame, and may not move out of the road when approached. The nightly rate is with the Access Pass. This is a great park, within 5 miles of Manhattan, and Super Walmart. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Motorhome.

Access to boating, swimming, with marked off beach area. Typical Corps of Engineers campground. Rest rooms and showers available. Easy access with our 37 ft Meridian. All sites are back-in except for 2 that I seen. We always stay here when visiting family in the area, only problem is they close the gate at 10:00 PM if you forget to be back by curfew you can't get in until 6:00 AM, you can leave during closed hours for emergency or if you have to be somewhere early but through an anti backup gate (spikes). Very nice view of lake. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Motorhome.

This is your typical, excellent COE campground. There are two campground sections: with and without utilities (electric and water). We were on the Lake Shore loop with utilities. Our site was very long and there was even an additional spot for parking the car (which wasn't needed). The sites do slope towards the lake a bit but we were able to get reasonably level with our jacks. Contrary to a previous post, the roads are paved but the sites are gravel. The volunteers who checked us in were efficient and friendly. There were several nice playgrounds if you happen to bring kids. The rate cited is with the Federal Senior discount pass. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Motorhome.

This park is located above the damn on the main lake. The terrain is a bit hilly but the sites are level with decent spacing. We stayed in site 16, gave a great view of the lake and lots of common area. Lake access was poor to to high water, the beach was flooded and it had a foul smell. Showers and bathrooms were clean and roomy, there are outhouses spread out about the campground. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Fifth Wheel.
