Reservation process was easy/efficient Crew stayed after closing for many arriving after closing hours and escorted to site - nice touch. Because it was off season, there were many campers so CG effectively shut down with respect to this. It is on the interstate, and we knew that. Interstate noise was expected. It is dusty here, but they haven't had a lot of rain. There's no need to pave this place up, but keep it as natural as poss. There are a lot of trees here for shade. For a KOA, this one had the most room between sites we've ever experienced. This was nice too. The site had three places to hook up the sewer too which was nice. It appears the three set up is the same on all pull-through sites. Be careful walking around at night though. There are a lot of flies here, and I believe I saw mosquitos although they didn't bother me at night...so jury still out on that. Easy to level and good site length. We did not find the turns to be tight. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Prairieland Co-op is a nice place to purchase organic produce, eggs and various good local meat - lamb, wagyu beef, and bison. It's not large, but had some things we were glad to have available to purchase. Blue Skye Brewery and Eatery for craft beer and dinner was a nice find too.

Stayed here a few months ago and in the interim stayed at three other KOA's that were much nicer than this one. Now we have to say that this park is just okay. Like others have mentioned, location on gravel/dirt roads with gravel/dirt interior roads can make life difficult when the Kansas wind blows. And large trucking vehicles that travel the nearby dirt roads exacerbates the dust issue. There is some noise from highway, but nothing that is uncomfortable. Location is convenient for traveling through. If this campground would do a bit of a makeover in regard to paved roads and some attention to some of the individual sites in regard to size and aesthetics, this could be a really quite nice KOA. Very friendly staff, price was good. Our site was perfectly level and plenty long. Verizon good. Cable TV works pretty well. If you have a big rig or motorhome you might try to avoid what they call the "back of the park away from playground/pool and near the pond". Pretty tight turns to exit those sites unless you go the wrong way on a one way street, which we did to avoid hitting a tree. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This facility is NOT meant for big rigs. The effort to squeeze through congested rows in order to depart is NOT enjoyable. Kansas has a lot of wind, and this facility really needs to pave its entire facility. We couldn't even leave the windows open without having significant dust coverage in the entire coach. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

A clean and well maintained park in very good condition. We stayed one night while headed to Colorado. The roads were gravel in very good condition and our site had a level concrete pad for the 5er. The campground is easy to get to off of the interstate. We were escorted to our site and they helped with parking. The roads were set up to handle a big rig, a little close but no problem to navigate with our 36' 5er and truck. They have a well stocked store with both RV parts/accessories and general supplies. Verizon cell service was great. Overall a very good campground to either ovenight or spend several days. A recommended stay. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here several times over the past 3 years. The hidden treasure is the Yesteryear Museum located across the road from the campground. Park has some road noise being close to interstate. Pull-thru sites on west end of property are close together. They do have an off-leash dog park. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a fun older KOA in Kansas. It is across the street from the yesteryear museum which is a nice sunset stroll. It is hot and muggy but our space was nicely shaded by a wall of trees. This is our second stay, this time a short layover. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

This was a typical KOA, although it was easy to see that the owners put a lot of work into maintaining this facility and they were all very friendly. The sites were fairly level and the utilities were well placed. This was just a one-night stay for us and I had no complaints until we went to hook-up the next morning. It had rained very hard during the night and our site was like a lake with the TT completely surrounded by water. The pedestal had two inches of water around it as did most of the site. Fortunately my wife had boots with her so she had to raise the jacks enough and disconnect the utilities so I could pull out of the water to finish hooking up. The rain was not the fault of the owners, but the drainage of the sites needs some improvement. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed twice in 2 wks passing thru. Not many around Salina. On our most recent stop 8/29 & 8/30 called for a specific spot, they said they were saving for an extra long Rv. We said ok. The next morning a short tent trailer was in spot we requested. We have a 35' 5th wheel. We said oh well!

But when my sister-in-law called in, they requested to be us. Nope: they placed them farther & there were spots closer to ours. My spouse was upset & told the lady in office.

Previous day I went to do laundry, all machines were being used by their housekeeper for their cabins. A one hour chore took 2 hours.

On the other hand, wifi was excellent & their cable worked efficiently. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy to get to from the interstate. we were at the back, so highway noise was minimal. But the Birds in this park make it noisy, and they get up early! Concrete pad was narrow and the grass was muddy from Rv traffic. It was difficult to find a dry spot to have in front of your door. The phone staff were a little inexperienced, and others a bit gruff. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not sure on the price but it was around $31. The site was OK with some sun. We arrived early in the afternoon with the temperature around 93 and a heat advisory in effect. As the park started filling around 5:30 pm we had our first power failure. The camper next ours immediately went to the office and was told they would check on it. The power came back on a few minutes later. Someone from the office came by and said they had someone on the way to check it out but I never heard back from them. The park was full that night and we had several more brief outages. This didn't make for a very pleasant night with temperatures this hot. I don't know if everyone was impacted or just those around on our row. It is an older park and I don't know if the infrastructure was over loaded or the problem was with the power company. We camped at Salina KOA in a Truck Camper.

We stayed in a 40' class A motorhome with no slides There are lots of large trees on this property and one must be careful navigating. We pulled in OK but had to back out to leave due to tree placement. I love trees but it wins against a motor coach.

Be careful about specifying and understanding the electrical service layout. Adjacent sites are designated 30 and 50 amp and are served out of the same electrical box. We tried and failed to use the 30 amp service as the 50 amp was in use by the 30 amp site. We had to relocate at managements request.

The setting is pretty with minimal noise from the freeway. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.
