Very well maintained KOA. Large shade trees throughout the park. Level sites, most are gravel but some are concrete. Full service cabins available as well as the typical camping cabins. Fishing pond, pool, playground. Good location off of I-70 and not far at all from I-135. Traffic noise wasn't a bother to us at all, but I think it could be if you had your windows open or were tent camping. This is a nice campground and the staff seems helpful and friendly. There is a Yesteryears Museum across the street. Eisenhower presidential museum is in Abilene 20 miles east. Rock City park is about 20 miles north. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a one night stopover for us and we had no problem with the park. The spaces were large enough for our 43' bus and the driveways were easy to navigate. There are a lot of trees and it feels somewhat secluded, but I-70 is only a couple blocks away and road noise could be a problem for some. The staff was friendly and efficient. Would stay here again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Great folks in the office. The park is convenient to the highway and road noise wasn't terrible. We had light rain and the roads, sites and dog run were a bit muddy. We arrived at dusk and left at dawn so it's difficult to rate the park. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Park is well maintained, with gravel roads and gravel sites. There are lots of trees and most of the sites appeared to have some shade. The sites to be level, with easy access to hook,-ups. The cable tv worked well. The people were friendly and like most KOA parks, they had a staff member guide you to your site. Wi-fi was spotty, and I found that it usually worked best in the early morning and late night. There is easy access to I-70, with three truck stops nearby. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this RV park. It felt like a camp-out.
Decent area for the dogs to be off-leash. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

40 miles away is the historic and scenic Post Rock drive.

Pulled in late, map to site was available at office door, (we reserved earlier). Very easy to find site from map. Site was large for our class B MH, we had water, electric only, right across from restroom/showers. Excellent restrooms/showers just remodeled. Right by 3 truck stops, and other gas stations, several restaurants within walking distance. One exit east of the I-70, I-135 junction.
Downsides? Could stand some tidying up around the perimeter, some highway noise all night. Kind of hard to find entrance at night off the main road. Womens restroom lighting motion timed for 5 minutes. so be prepared with flashlight if showering.
We would stay again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

McDonalds, I-Hop, 3 truck stops nearby

Take flashlight to women's restroom

This campground is immediately next to I-70, so there is significant traffic noise at all hours. OK for an enroute, not much more.

We had a pull-through site, a staff member guided us to the site as it was after dark and the park is not well-lit. He advised me to pull out in a different way than the map indicates to avoid low-hanging trees.

The park appears to have standard KOA amenities, and there are quite a few long term occupants, but they are all on one side of the park. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Arrived late afternoon and were escorted to our spot. Site was level and a pull thru. Full hook ups are available. Nice size campground, lots of areas for kids to play, dog park area, pool and bikes to rent. Lots of trees, so there is nice shade. Easy access from highway, and a Starbucks around the corner. I would recommend you avoid sites 44-47 as the security lights from the office shine in your windows all night, otherwise very nice park. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Starbucks down the street. Iron skillet dinner/ buffet....you get what you would expect

Typical KOA, older park with lots of dirt and gravel. Too many trees for me. I would stay again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient stop just off I-70. Staff was efficient including an escort to our site. Road noise due to proximity to highway. Sites are gravel, but there are concrete pads available for an additional charge. We would stay here again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA is located convenient to both I-70 and I-135 which was good as we were turning west on I-70 at Salina. Office staff was efficient and we checked in without problems. The dump station is at the back of the property - I walked over there to see which way I'd need to turn our unit when leaving. Overall a good site and we'd stay again. Wifi was a bit spotty but that's typical for most RV parks. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Adequately maintained campground. We stayed two nights and were not looking for anything great. Looks like the campground is doing just enough to make it OK. No upgrades, no energy or real hospitality from the staff - just taking care of things to run a business. Not trying too hard to make you feel welcome. Campground was OK. Think we'll try another one in the area next time. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

As usual, for KOA, the sites were small. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well maintained. There was a nice large area for pets, however it was not fenced in. We only stayed one night while travelling through Kansas, and would probably stay again for an overnight. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Salina KOA is always one of our favorite campground stops. It's convenient to the interstate, friendly staff, well laid out park, and quaint homey atmosphere. We had a FHU site across from the dog park on-site. This off-leash area was enjoyed by our pups, nicely done and properly sized to allow dogs to run and stretch their legs after a day of traveling. If you like trees and shade, the entire park is shaded with large cottonwoods. Gravel sites are very level. We've stayed here before and will stay again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

The park is fairly clean even though everything is gravel. The restrooms and showers were very clean and professionally decorated. WiFi worked pretty well and the playground had a giant bouncing pillow. The laundry and meeting room has an arcade and library. When it rains, large puddles are everywhere so plan ahead if you leave anything outdoors. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.
