As others have said, small, older, established park. Staff was very friendly on check-in, they were having a network issue but didn't get flustered and apologized a lot. Three dog parks on site, one of which was very large. Grass mowed, trash kept picked up, park very clean, wifi worked well. Would definitely stay there again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground was well maintained and the staff was extremely nice. We got here on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend for a one night stay as we were traveling to Wyoming. A nice gentleman showed us to our site on a golf cart. I feel like this is really more of a 3 1/2 star park but we like bit more room than most people so thays a preference. There isn't a lot of space between the RV sites and there is lot of clutter throughout the park. Lots of signs and statues and not a lot of free space on our side of the park, especially for walking dogs. We stayed in space 69. Road before entrance is gravel. Lots of gas stations close by. Shopping a nicer restaurants are about 10 mintues away. Phone service good for Verizon and AT&T. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the first time we have stayed at this park and we will definitely be back. Staff was very friendly and helpful and we were escorted to our site. Site was one of the most level we have ever experienced (the escort said that they had re-done them all this year). There are two dog runs but they are rather small. All utilities, including free wi-fi, worked very well. The only real drawback is part of the road leading to the campground was dirt and the dust was really thick when trucks passed. There were enough trees that the dust didn't seem to get into the grounds but it was very heavy out on the road. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We full-time around U.S. in 40 MH w/tow to sightsee, so we look for campgrounds with 50 amp FHU and a few pull-thru satellite-friendly sites. We usually stay only one or two nights. This campground was level with airy trees for shade. It was clean and easy to navigate with extras for activities. Campsite was level -met all of our criteria. Well planned campground. Would stay here again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

This older and well established KOA has been kept up excellently and is very convenient to I-70. It is big rig friendly but can be "tight" in a few places. It has excellent shade with many cottonwood trees, and the trees are kept trim to where they will not hit your rig. Roads are sand/gravel and pads are gravel. My site was perfectly level front to back and side to side. Wifi actually worked at an RV park for once! (Slow but it worked.) Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They greeted us, led us to our site, and helped guide us in. Found it to be fairly quite for being right next to the interstate. Could here some road noise outside but none inside my RV. The cons include the sites are very close to each other with your neighbors sewer hose next to your picnic table; a few turns are tight for big rigs; and there is a big gap at the bottom of the fence at the dog park that will let little dogs run right out. All and all a very nice KOA. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very convenient to highway. Many mature trees, shady. Has a nice camp store, pedal bikes available, large pool and "warm tub," bounce pad and playground. Our site was gravel and relatively level. The desk staff were not typical for the KOAs we have been to - not very pleasant and made limited eye contact. The pool was clear but full of bugs, both on the surface and on the bottom. The gem mining sluice water was stagnant ant did not appear to have been used in some time. We were there on a Wednesday and it may be that weekend are where they do most of the activities and maintenance. The WiFi was good and the park easy to maneuver through. We would certainly stay again with the hope that we just caught them on a bad day. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

This is one of the better KOAs we've stayed in. This is our second overnight stay here on the way to Colorado. I wish we could stay longer though, because there's SO MUCH for kids to do! We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to eat at BBQ Hickory Hut in Salina. It is only two miles away and worth a 10 mile drive. The best BBQ we have had in the last two years. Beans were awesome. I am pretty picky about my potato salad and that was really good too. It is not fancy. Very clean, low maintenance. You gotta go.

Nice park. Well-maintained, shady with lots of mature trees. Take it slow as there are some tight places with those trees and the wall around the park. We had some difficulty manuvering trees to get in and out of our site, but were successful with the extremely helpful staff. Very convenient to I-70. Several places to fuel up at the exit. Would stay there again. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

We were escorted to our long, level pull thru site with satellite access, despite lots of shade trees in the park. Utilities were toward the rear, but not a problem. The wifi was very good and fast! Easy on-off the interstate with fuel and restaurants. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove to Abilene and visited the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Home and it was very well done, from his childhood to military service, to his presidency. We had dinner at Joe Snuffys Diner in Abilene and the food was both tasty and plentiful.

Cute KOA near the interstate. Roads easy to navigate, lots of shade, great wifi and plenty of cable options. We opted for a paved pad for a few bucks more, glad we did, still a little muddy in some spots from a big storm a few days ago. Super friendly staff, well marked directional roads. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Lady could not find online teservation. Then she refreshed computer. Printer was not working. Was not going to get escorted to site cuz other person was "at lunch". Finally she decided she would escort us. Was on nice concrete pad. Grounds were untidy. Grass and weeds were tall snd branches and leaves everywhere due to the recent storms. They were trying to clean up the debris. Garbage dumpsters were overflowing. Store looked well stocked. They do have pizza service but we did not try it. Highway noise could be heard. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Roads & campsite muddy. Some vehicles were parked in odd locations with "hauling" trailers parked close by, so maneuvering to leave the following morning was difficult. Not all personnel were cordial. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground is conveniently located right by the I-70. Although the campground is less than a mile from the interstate exit, the last few hundred yards are on a dust road. There were no potholes and this was not a problem. Once you get to the campground an attendant will show you your site via a golf cart. The campground has a good Wifi service and fairly large sites with picnic benches.

The downside is first and foremost that the there is a stench of sewage that permeates the entire grounds. The dump station is located right in the middle of the campground, although we were not able to determine whether that was the source of the stench. The in-ground sewer holes are not properly covered (our just had a rock on top of it), which may also be a source of the problem. The facilities are very dated too. There is a playground but most of it was in bad repair and some of the activities did not work at all. The noise level from the highway was high. There are not many options in this area but had we known of the overall state of the park we would have continued on I-70 to another campground. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.
