Last stayed here many years ago. At that time the park was pretty run down. The new owners have done a great job of cleaning it up and are very pleasant to deal with. We had a pull through in the back which was easy in and out for my big rig. Though the sites are more dirt than gravel and they had a lot of rain before and while we were there they were still solid with little mud. All utilities worked well. We would stay here again. - peddy dick

Very clean park. Even in heavy rain, there were few puddles and mud. Large sites with nice grass in between. The staff was helpful and friendly. FAST WiFi. - Stewie49

We thought this place was a great CG to stop. Restrooms are very clean. The parking spots, while close together, were plenty long for our big 5-wheel and the truck. The young man who checked us in was very nice and hospitable. The wifi is very strong, unlike many parks we have stayed in. Even though we only stayed one night it will definitely be a place we will come back to. - Skip Pratt

Very easy for a stopover. Easy to get in and out, site was plenty long and hookups included cable tv with 100+ channels. Excellent fenced dog run. Friendly people that were happy to help us. - jimandlisa

Nice size park located right off the Interstate. Variety of sites and prices. Our concrete pull thru was 75'long and level. Free wi-fi and cable, dog park, play area, cabins, pool, camp store. Road are easy to navigate. Great place for an overnight stay. - travelswithpuppies

There are enough shade trees here to make it feel like a city park-relaxing and beautiful! Located close to I-70, highway noise is the most significant drawback of the park. That said, everything is here to satisfy everyone from the overnight guest to the extended stay monthly tenant. Playground area, bass pond, Pet Park, laundry, propane, swimming pool, showers & bathrooms, recreation center, a horse shoe pit, basketball court, volleyball court, delivered pizza to order and year round operation makes the park a comfortable stay for all categories of guests. Internal gravel roads are easily navigable, pull-through sites are long and level and the utilities cluster is conveniently placed (choice of two sewer connections). Could not get Wi-Fi to connect (Verizon connected easily), however, cable TV worked well (even though OTA reception was also excellent). Given all the amenities, the price is right. We stayed one night and would gladly stay here again. - TMN-15
Aug 2018 - $30.00
Good for a one-nighter. Fairly level gravel sites, FHU all worked well. No picnic table at our site, but wouldn't have used it anyway. Needs a little TLC and a lot of longterm units, maintained and clean areas. Didn't create any issues. Close together, considering everything in Texas is supposed to be B-I-G. Would stay again. - Nevada Nick
Jul 2018 - $20.00
Very nice pool. Women's bathrooms out of toilet paper first day but replaced early the next morning. Great little store to get ice and emergency supplies. - Dinkystmpr
May 2018 - $25.00
This is a tired park. It needs TLC from picnic tables to the bath houses. Location is good and easy off/on to I-70. Needs a lot more trees for shade. Just an overnite here; there was no water in the park in the morning. The Pool is nice and seems well maintained. - DRKM
Oct 2018 - $32.00
Stayed here for 8 nights. Space was pull thru and very easy to access. Park is gravel, but nice grass and trees between camp sites. The space was pretty level and all the amenities appeared nearly brand new (elec, water, sewer). Picnic table provided. The camp hosts are some of the nicest I have met in my travel. - Yukon Okie
Oct 2018 - $32.00
First time to use a campground. Never did anything like this before. It could not have been a better experience. I knew nothing about hookups, etc. The operator took his time to help me get set up and even directed me while pulling into the space. If I am this way again would not hesitate to stay again! - CopDwight
Aug 2018 - $32.00
Wow! What a gem. We were passing thru on our way to Colorado Springs. This was the perfect overnight stop. Great camp hosts. Excellent Wi-Fi. Right off I-70. There was even a dog park. We travel a lot being full time and we are so grateful to find parks like this. - SillyAnn
Jun 2013 - $1.00
Phone number is disconnected and the sign for the campground was taken down off the highway. - Junia
Oct 2012 - $26.00
This is a good park for big rig over night. I think it also would be nice for families as the overall campground is large and the spaces are roomy. They supposedly had Wi-Fi but there was no signal. Restrooms seemed pretty good. Very convenient to the Interstate. We would stay again. - jeffnbarb
Sep 2012 - $26.00
Not well marked as we pulled in, unsure as to where to stop to go into office. Advice given was to go pick out a site. Very old park, not very well maintained. Trash cans overflowing. Didn't use restrooms. - User2783
Jul 2018 - $15.00
This park is a bit rough, but you can't beat the (discounted) price. We've never had full hookups for less money. Everything worked fine, and the site was pretty level. It took a little while to get registered (there were no envelopes in the self-registration booth) but we tracked down the very helpful manager and he got us processed and set up pretty quickly. The biggest negative was that the walk to the restroom (one toilet and no sink) took more than five minutes from our site. However, you can't beat the price. - John A Guderian
Jun 2017 - $15.00
Two major issues: unfriendly towards dogs and poor water. Our dogs and the neighbor's were simply talking to each other briefly mid day and second time the owner's dog was loose, running up and down our our pet fence. Our dog loves that and some barked in fun. We were told we may have to put our dogs in the 5th wheel, but they just bark more knowing we are outside.
Worse..water coming into sink was cloudy with mosquito larvae and other brown specks. Friends boiled water and the calcium ruined the pan. No way was I going to take a shower in this.
Fireworks and large kegger party went on till 1:30am.
Nice lake/pond and sandy beach. Campsites themselves have heavy ant infestation. We paid for two nights but couldn't stay. - ThePattersons
May 2017 - $25.00
An easy 4 miles from Hwy 135 even though gravel the road was not bad. The staff were friendly and directed us to a nice spot overlooking the lake. I asked where the shower house and restrooms were and they didnt have any. I asked about dump station and they said they had a portable cart and would dump my holding tanks for me. I was suprised that they did not have a dump station. We were in off season and only people there except maintenance man. A lot of empty year round rv's were there. We enjoyed a nice walk around the lake and down the road. Very quiet evening and a red fox trotted past our camper. All in all okay for a one night stay. - Romad
