Oh, could all parks be like this? Cement, level pads, patio, nice picnic table. Hosts were so friendly, welcomed us w smile. Bath and laundry great, super location, off and on to 70. Definitely would use again if traveling 70 through Kansas,..spoiled now.! We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Unlike ToniB's comments, this park is exactly what we try to avoid (but it had been a long day).

There's nothing wrong with this park and its facilities - concrete pads, proper hookups, grass, etc., but NO trees, no vegetation of any sort, so on goes the A/C while the rig sits in the blazing sunshine.

This park was fine for us for one night. But it is not our idea of camping, or even RVing - too sterile, sanitized. Probably really great if you have a motorhome and only venture outside to hookup.

Sorry not my idea of a great place to stay for more than a night. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If ever I was going to give a park a 10, this would be it. I cannot think of a single negative thing but on the other hand would say if I were to design a park it would look like this. All long pull through sites with a perfect angle and curved in/out paving. Sites are all concrete with a concrete pad. Utilities worked well. Mancured, clean, wide roads gated, rules against barking dogs, etc. Excellent place. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

When we first drove into the park, I asked the wife what were we going to pay! Not much actually for a premier park. Everything said is true. The owner spent $1,000,000 on concrete...and it's everywhere. Almost too much actually, but there's plenty of room to walk the dogs and a dog park. Everything about this facility is first class. WiFi was down due to a severe lightning strike, but they were working on it as we left. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Everyone talked about Lennie's BBQ. You can only get ribs on Thurs and Fri. We had the pork sandwich...and it was OK. The owner is only open 12 hours a week. He works 60 hours preparing the food and has over a 1,000 customers come through each week.

The capitol building went through a $300 million rennovation...and it shows. A must see!

We can't say enough about this campground: it's a resort. We had a snaffoo with our reservation and they worked it out easily and with no stress. We could not be more grateful. The sites were beautiful and manicured. We loved it! We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Don't know what we can say that hasn't already been said. This place is what every RV park aspires to be. We have been RVing for 20 years and coming here for about the last ten. It is perhaps the BEST RV park I have seen anywhere. We stayed on 4/8 as a stop over on our way out west and again on 4/22 on the way back home. Huge level concrete pads, clean power, great water pressure ( I believe park is regulated to 60 psi so regulators are not needed), you have a lawn between you and your neighbor, cable with about 70 channels, a pool, off leash dog park that is HUGE. It is a beautiful gated hidden gem of a RV park....trust me you won't be disappointed. Maybe 5 minutes off of I70. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Don't you just love concrete !!?? When it rains, no mud or yuk. Every site had a concrete pad and lush grass surrounding it. Managers were very welcoming (not quite sure why more RV greeters do that). Guided us to our spot, told us the local shopping and sites and eats. Level, great WiFi. Easy off and of the interstate. We stayed for three nights. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV Park is immaculate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great fenced dog run, pool and playground. Close to downtown. Some road noise, but not bad. We will definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this RV Park.

The lots are closely spaced to one another and sunny. The pads are concrete and have a picnic table. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Love this park! We have a lab/greyhound mix who loved the fenced dog run. It is huge and surrounded by a 6' fence. We don't come across many RV parks where she can run full speed, and where we don't have to worry about her jumping the fence. The park is clean, friendly, and well kept. One of our favorites for sure! We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent park for an overnight or a month or so. Excellent management. Extraordinary clean. Spacious level, concrete sites with lots of space between sites. Best dog park we have encountered. Great pool, and playground. Gated and secured at night. Should be rated a 10++. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

On a scale of 1-10, this park is an 11. Level, concrete pads, spaciously spaced with a nice strip of grass. Fabulous WIFI. Wonderful hosts with lots of tips. Super roads. We planned to stay 2 nights and ended up staying 4 nights. Camped here in 38' motorhome (toad fits front & back of pull-through). We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fabulous BBQ restaurant (Lonnie's) is right on their driveway. Sparkling clean and open from 11-1, Mon. thru Fri. and 5:30-7:30 Friday night. Closed weekends. It's the best we've ever had, and we have eaten BBQ in all the top spots. Only a few minutes from the Capitol and State Museum, both of which are very good.

We stayed at this park four different times this year for a total of 74 days due to family commitments. Love this park! It's one of the cleanest, nicest parks we've stayed at. The sites are wide, clean and the hookups the nicest we've encountered. We winterized our RV before heading home this time so utilized the bath/showers. They are extremely clean and well maintained. Staff is absolutely the best! We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here a week. The park is close to I-70 and Lake Shawnee, with easy access to both. The roads and sites are concrete, with grassy areas between the sites. The majority of the sites are pull-thrus, with a small number of back in sites. The park is fenced, and has an electric gate, and security patrolling park at night. The hook-ups are easy to get to and all together. The camp hosts are friendly and upon checking in, someone will guide you to your site. The wi-fi, just like in most parks, is spotty. The satellite and TV antenna reception is good, and they also have cable hook-ups. The only complaint we have is there is construction going on right by the park, and they start work at 7:00 am every weekday. Also, there is road noise from I-70 in mornings, especially from semis using their jake brakes. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautifully laid out park with large concrete pads and patios. Bathrooms and Laundry excellent as was the wi-fi. Fully secure with access code after 6pm. Great management and we were taken to our site. There is no shade at this park but as we were at the end of the season it did not cause a problem to us. There are roadworks going on nearby but we were parked on Site 30 and neither the roadworks nor the Interstate bothered us. We were permitted to wash the bugs off the vehicle. A great park and we will return when in the area. Highly recommend. We camped in 38ft motorhome with tow. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the State Capitol and take a tour (free) - well worth it and also a climb up the 297 steps to the top of the dome to take in the views. Also visit the 1st Presbyterian Church opposite the Capitol to see the stunning Tiffany windows.
