Over night stay passing through Topeka. Very nice newer park off I 70. All concrete roads and sites with some permanents but no junkie units and park rules about stuff under and around the sites. Long pads that needed no correction to get rig level. Utilities placed well with good water pressure. Pleasant staff on duty and very clean park. Nice grass spaces between sites, a little mushy at this time because of wet weather. Cable TV service was a nice extra. Basically a nice well managed park that yes, has some rules that some may find excessive but it's their property so live with it or move on. Also gated during evening and overnight. Would stay again when in the Topeka area. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Tip for the folks that are long. Carnahan off I 70 becomes narrow two lane with no safety lane when going south to 21 St. Also 21 St. is a narrow two lane with no safety lane when you approach the park entrance. Be mindful of your turns or bad things could happen.

This was like PLEASANT VALLEY SUNDAY: the epitome of RV Suburbia USA, where the predominantly motor-home and 5th wheel rigs were in rows and looking all the same and everything was perfect, to its detriment -- IF you're looking for a true camping experience. The park had beautifully mowed mini-lawns, concrete roads and site pads that looked scrubbed, bathrooms that could be cleanliness defined -- they have no trash cans, however, so you take any of your trash with you or leave it behind -- and there were even attractive coverings for the electrical pedestals, a shiny electric entry gate, and a forest surrounding the grounds appearing trimmed and tidy and ready for inspection. My son said he thought the only problem with the place was it was "too nice." Camping enthusiasts will understand. This was not a campground. If you're fine with that, this is a great place to stay, probably the best of all the "RV park-style" locations I've visited. I thought the price slightly high at $45/night (down to a within-reasonable range of $40.50 with Good Sam discount) for full hook ups, pull-throughs and free wifi, which worked well and fast. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is excellent. It is easy to find and immaculately clean. The roads in the park are all concrete as are the very long pads and patio areas with each site. Almost all sites are pull thrust with full hookups. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. We were here for an overnight stop and would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Having had 2 Rottweilers and a Doberman, I was dismayed to find that this park does not allow these breeds. What a shame! Mine were poster dogs for these breeds. It's not the breed; it's the owners. Disallow them instead! We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We agree - there is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad dog owners. Unfortunately, bad owners are the reason for these restrictions. However, thanks for visiting our park, and hopefully we'll see you again soon!

This has to be the most immaculate campground I have ever stayed at. It has beautifully landscaping with trimmed grassy yards for each site with a level concrete pad. The Wi-Fi works great and the bathroom are also immaculate. Friendly and helpful staff and security gate. There's also a pool and playground. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was by far, the best RV Park we've used on our 7500 mile trip this summer. Concrete, level, spacious pads, super clean grounds. The Best thing? A fenced bark park. About 100yds by 60 yds in a triangular shape. And it was CLEAN. Our Greyhounds loved it..

We kept extending our stay. Excellent Wi-Fi, cable TV, open sites to shoot satellites, large grass sites with table. This is a gated park, if that's important. Inside RV storage is available. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here two weeks in a 42 foot 5th wheel. Site was excellent with long and large concrete pad with plenty of room for the truck. Park was immaculate and well-maintained. Poor internet on 1st day and mentioned it to front office. It was excellent for next 13 days! Interior roads are wide and easy to maneuver. Cable TV was excellent. Lots of grass around site and well kept. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

WalMart is less than 2 miles away. Visit the State Capitol only 4 miles away. Kansas politicians went into debt for $327MM renovating their state capitol and it's pretty opulent. Visit Lawrence to see University of Kansas. Drive to Independence, MO and Harry Truman's home and Presidential Library is 74 miles and well worth it. Shawnee Lake Park is very nice for walking/biking/fishing.

Sorry you had to arrive just after our WiFi network was struck by lightning. As we noted, we had been working on it for over a week to get it restored. Glad you were able to enjoy the service once it was repaired, but unfortunately, these things do happen and we try to get them repaired as quickly as possible.

After staying in several dusty, gravelly RV parks across the country this Fall, this park was a revelation! Concrete inner roads and sites. Inner roads are wide and easy for even the biggest rigs to maneuver. Sites are very long and plenty wide. We were only able to stay one night, and had plenty of extra room for our hooked up tow. Lots of good quality grass for the dogs. Easy on and off I-70, but just far enough away to relax. We look forward to staying here again. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 1 night Labor Day weekend 2016. Called the day before and got a spot and paid just under $40 with our Good Sam discount. The guy who answered was very friendly. We arrived and were amazed at how clean and organized this park was. The spots are concrete and very level. No trees on the interior though. The host came by to check to see if everything was okay. He lives in his camper on-site. He said about 2/3 of the residents are full-timers or construction folks who work in the area for a few months at a time. All the rigs were nice and well taken care of. Everyone was quiet and had their spots very organized. We are two women and felt super safe. The only glitch was our electrical didn't come on right away and went off once while we were getting ready for bed. I am thinking it may have something to do with our surge protector though (the slow to start issue for sure). There is a storm shelter, which would come in quite handy if a tornado were to come through! The bathrooms were clean. I didn't give this 10 stars because it is a bit "sterile", but for our needs...a safe, clean, level, nice place to spend the night while passing through, it was among the best we've stayed at. If you are wanting atmosphere and scenery...this may not be your place, but for our needs, it was superb. We would recommend Deer Creek Valley and would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Unlike ToniB's comments, this park is exactly what we try to avoid (but it had been a long day).

There's nothing wrong with this park and its facilities - concrete pads, proper hookups, grass, etc., but NO trees, no vegetation of any sort, so on goes the A/C while the rig sits in the blazing sunshine.

This park was fine for us for one night. But it is not our idea of camping, or even RVing - too sterile, sanitized. Probably really great if you have a motorhome and only venture outside to hookup.

Sorry not my idea of a great place to stay for more than a night. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If ever I was going to give a park a 10, this would be it. I cannot think of a single negative thing but on the other hand would say if I were to design a park it would look like this. All long pull through sites with a perfect angle and curved in/out paving. Sites are all concrete with a concrete pad. Utilities worked well. Mancured, clean, wide roads gated, rules against barking dogs, etc. Excellent place. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

When we first drove into the park, I asked the wife what were we going to pay! Not much actually for a premier park. Everything said is true. The owner spent $1,000,000 on concrete...and it's everywhere. Almost too much actually, but there's plenty of room to walk the dogs and a dog park. Everything about this facility is first class. WiFi was down due to a severe lightning strike, but they were working on it as we left. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Everyone talked about Lennie's BBQ. You can only get ribs on Thurs and Fri. We had the pork sandwich...and it was OK. The owner is only open 12 hours a week. He works 60 hours preparing the food and has over a 1,000 customers come through each week.

The capitol building went through a $300 million rennovation...and it shows. A must see!
