Do not use KOA parks too often but when we travel north and south on 35 and the KTA we like this one. Owners live on site and maintain a nice clean park with utilities placed properly and work properly in the sites. Small store with rv supplies, ice, and a coffee bar. Staff friendly and competent. There is some train noise on occasion but RR was here before the park. All in all a decent clean park to stop at when in this area or traveling on the turnpike. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy off and back on to the KTA. Park about 1 1/2 miles to the west on exit #19 north or south bound.

Easy on and off Interstate/Kansas Turnpike (toll road). Site was long enough for our 42' MH towing. Gravel site with picnic table. Fenced dog run, not all dog owners pick up though. You can hear trains off in the distance, not bothersome though. Would definitely stay again if passing through the area. The deluxe sites are new concrete, have patio furniture and a swing. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.

Stopped just overnight while passing through. The park was fairly full but we had no problem pulling into a "pull through" slot about midway through the park. Hookups were easy and the WIFI signal decent enough. Cable only has 24 channels but it covers the basics and that's fine for us. Will stop again if in the area. Very convenient to the Turnpike as well as US Hwy 160 and Hwy 81. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

2 miles to Wellington where they have: (1) Chisholm Trail museum (2) Super Walmart (less than 1 mile from the park) and (3) the Wellington golf course which is one of the better municipal courses in the area and is reasonably priced.

Train nearby so don't expect quiet just because you are far from Interstate. You need to use a splitter if you want to get the amps you are paying for at this KOA. They have both 30 and 50 amp, but the 30 amp is not a true 30 amp and you cannot run all needed things in RV as with other campgrounds. Clerk at desk was very nice and friendly though. Sites aren't level enough to just pull in and park, also they are gravel. Not the best KOA I've stayed at. No shade and stayed in August! We camped at Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Walmart close by and other fast food places.

This is a small KOA, but well off the interstate, so there is no traffic noise. Interior roads and sites are gravel. We are about 55' long and had no trouble negotiating any of the turns, it was an easy in and out. The owners are in the process of building some patio sites with concrete pads. Free Wi-Fi and cable worked well. Our site was level. We would stay here again. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here a couple of times. Great campground. Long level lots ( we were able to stay hooked up with our 42' 5th wheel), spacious, right off Interstate. The restrooms and showers are spotless. Has grat hook-ups, cable and wi-fi. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park served me well as a one-night stopover. Very convenient to the Kansas Turnpike. Site was easy to maneuver into and hook-ups worked well. Wi-Fi was better than I typically experience at KOA. Restrooms were spotless. I arrived after the office closed, but because I had called ahead all the paperwork and directions to my site were available at "self" check-in. Only downside for me was train noise. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.

We chose this KOA because of previous reviews and in particular "shade" was mentioned. It seems there was an attack by a chain saw in this park. There are very few trees left...don't know what in the world happened that all the trees were cut with just stumps remaining. There is no privacy, although sites are large enough. It's a big parking lot with strips of dry grass between sites. Certainly not a welcome site on a blistering September day. We would have rather stayed in a nice shady rest stop but needed the facilities for one night. We would not stay again now that all the trees are gone. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice and well maintained park. All sites are gravel with lots of grass on both sides. Plenty of room on both sides. Our site was level. Bathrooms and showers were new, clean, and well maintained. There were six showers. There is a well maintained enclosed dog run. We had a problem with our 30 amp connection tripping. The owner came by within a few hours and fixed the problem. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Rate is with 10% KOA discount. Easy access from I-35, but there is not much road noise. A very basic KOA park with limited amenities. A good park for a night or two while visiting the area. Our 33' motor home and tow vehicle fit within the pull-through site length. Would stay here again. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice park in the small Kansas town of Wellington, which is approx. 2-3 west of I-35. We stay here 1-2 times a year when in the area. Owners are great, price is very reasonable, nice pool/shower rooms and Wi-Fi works surprisingly well. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.

Stopped here because of severe weather forecast. Smaller KOA park close to I-35 Kansas Turnpike exit 19. Park was in decent shape and hookups worked properly with cable tv available. Manager put us north of the pool in the permanent locals area. Some rigs need some care and cleanup in this area. OK and quiet for overnight but will probably not come back. Price is with KOA card. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice folks, overall clean park with level gravel sites, ours a pull-through! Wi-Fi and cable TV very good. We stayed here in a 37' motorhome with a toad and a cat. Accessible to I-35 (toll) and good country roads throughout area. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Motorhome.

This is our second time to stay here. It is an excellent KOA or campground. The restrooms, showers, and laundry room were spotless. Owners friendly and helpful. Our gravel side was not level so reason for a 9. We will always stay here when traveling in this area. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Truck Camper.
