This area is very beautiful, a nice find in Kansas. We arrived at sunset for a one-night stay during our travel, so we didn't get to enjoy the park during daylight, but it was a nice evening. We parked in Big Bluestem with power/water only for $18, plus there is a $5 weekly park entrance fee and a $3 reservation fee. The first night cost us $26, but if you stay longer it would be $18/night thereafter. There was maybe 4 other RVs around that we could see, including the hosts. We pretty much felt alone and secluded in this pristine area. The bath houses were locked for the season. We camped at Wilson State Park, Otoe in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Very nice park with sites right on the lake. There are some nice hiking trails and plenty of space to walk a small dog. We stayed in Bluestem #12 for one night. It was pull through, level and located right on the lakeshore. Everything is well spaced out in the campground and the stars were great at night! We camped at Wilson State Park, Otoe in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $25.00
The lake is beautiful. This is a wonderful place to stay in the autumn or spring, but not in 105 degree temps in the middle of July because of lack of shade. There are nice trees growing and one day that may get better as the trees get taller. The daily rate includes the daily $4.00 admission fee to the park. Sites are nice and level and there are beautiful nature trails to hike which I enjoyed. Verizon cell phone service and MiFi (hotspot) is touch and go here. It's a nice spot to stop and rest a few days from the road, very peaceful and quiet. Showers and restrooms could be improved. We camped at Wilson State Park, Otoe in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is in a remote area of Kansas, about 6 miles north of I-70. It is beautiful and quiet. The sites are fairly level with views of the reservoir. A gem! We camped at Wilson State Park, Otoe in a Travel Trailer.Undo
