Enjoyed a nice weekend here. Easy check-in as the host was there as we pulled into the campground. We were surprised that they did not take credit cards and there were no picnic tables or fire rings at the sites. The campground was clean and had well-kept level sites and nicely mowed grounds. It was quiet and very close to town and surrounding attractions. We will definitely return. - bkbeck

We did not experience the problems the previous reviewers had. No barking dogs, no parties or excessive noise, cordial campground attendant ( led us to our site), and we had a level site with concrete "runners" for our tires and lastly, an excellent view of the lake out of our front window! We selected a water and electric site (50a) overlooking the lake. We had good Verizon cell service and MiFi (ours) and DirecTV satellite service. The park was well kept, no trashy campers and well maintained gravel roads-no potholes. We didn't use the restrooms or showers but found that the interiors could use a little painting around stalls and floors. The campground is well situated and close to downtown Bardstown and less than 2 miles from restaurants, groceries, etc. We most definitely will return here. Be aware there is not a sign in front of the campground but we were well aware that this was our destination because some RV's are visible from the road.
Perhaps the other reviewers were unlucky in theirs experience or perhaps there has been a revelation in a cleanup campaign in the park; however, in any event we definitely will return and encourage others to be positive while making their decision in stopping in this campground. We extended our stay to 4 days. - gatordan

All I can say is Run! Do not stay at this park Sites very unlevel. Bad power, Dogs will attack your dog that is on a leash. Owner makes rules that for some of his buddies they can be noisy, drinking, singing and playing music and keep you awake at night, way after 10pm. Been traveling for 3 years and this has been the worst experience we have had. Never Again. - Maverickpro203

A basic campground fine for an overnight stay. Some sites were less than level and many hookups were on the wrong side. The attendant was friendly and helpful. Greater than 35' might have trouble finding a site. - nospam8160

We had site #22 -- very spacious, trees in back for privacy and quite level -- probably the nicest in the park. Water and 30 amp hydro easy to connect to and no extra hose needed. Free Internet was available in the park, though you had to go to the front gate/booth to access it, as it didn't reach our campsite. Small playground for children, though not much else to do for kids. Awesome 18-hole golf course next door, in fact, you could see the carts go by behind the trees. We used this campground as a base to tour the bourbon distilleries and see the Stephen Foster Story performance, which is a must-see. Note that the actual campground address is 836 Hwy 49 and not Stephen Foster Avenue -- just follow the signage. - naturelover
May 2015 - $25.00
I selected "$25.00" because I can't remember the exact nightly rate. It was somewhere in the $20's range.
We used this park as a quick "overnight" stay. Nothing special, but it was a clean functional campground. We had a nice gravel site, good electric. Nice neighbors, quiet place. Kids enjoyed the playground. Was great for an overnight stay; would return again without hesitation. - JaredWPhillips
Apr 2016 - $30.00
2 night stay in this quiet campground. 50 amp service, water and sewer. Owner led us to site. But why did they park another motorhome side-by-side with us and a few others, when there were many other sites available. Some only had 2 feet between slideouts. My Verizon mi-fi was roaming and you can't access the campground Wi-Fi from the sites. The lawn could have been mowed but it had been last week. Some workers staying at the park that were all quiet. During heavy rain, 3 inches of water at electric post. - pegdiver

Excellent park with nice conscientious owner, huge sites, great area. No complaints, very quiet. - Lookinforeden

This is a no frills park near Bardstown. Campsites are gravel and somewhat level - I did have to use levelers but nothing extreme. Sites alternate pull-in and back-in to use joint hook ups. One site ends up facing another site, but there is plenty of space between those sites so you don't feel like you are in your neighbor's space. The back to back sites are fairly close. This campground surrounded by woods and fields.
There are no fire rings but you can have a fire on the gravel portion of your site. Sites include a wooden picnic table.
The owner is onsite and rides through the campground several times a day. He is very attentive to the campers needs.
Campground Wi Fi is solid enough to support my work. My Verizon phone reported that it was in extended mode, but I was able to make and receive calls. In Bardstown, my phone bounced between 3G and 4G.
Bathrooms are clean and functional, but not fancy.
I would definitely stay at this campground again. - waterlover63
