Site was not level, had to have front wheels almost four inches off ground after moving back and forth three times. Owner's son was pleasant but his father was not. Made it clear that being there 33 years never had leveling problem. There are other nicer places to stay. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a pretty, small park, and the owner is on site. The sites are fairly level and full hook-ups. The owner was very helpful in getting us parked. The park is quiet and free of litter. We would stay here again. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Came here to just spend the night but ended up staying several days to tour the area. Campground is clean and well kept. A few long term residents but they are mostly in one section and their places appeared well kept. Escort to site. Owners on site and were very helpful. Gravel roads and parking pads. Grass yards. Adjacent sites pull in from opposite directions so they can share water connections. This puts rigs back to back for some and front to front for others. Would stay again but be sure to get back to back unless your're traveling with friends. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

We had a long pull through site that sloped a little over a foot from back to front. Water pressure and voltage was good. Only real bad thing was that the neighbors on our door side had 2 big dogs tied up outside. It was OK as long as the owners were there but when they left in the evening and didn't get back until almost 11 the dogs barked continuously. My wife called the office number but no one answered. If back in the area we would look elsewhere. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here because we came to Louisville for a long term work assignment and there was nowhere at all to stay for this week (Aug 1-6, 2017) due to the hot rod national finals other than having to dry camp in the parking lot at the Expo Center, which wouldn't work since I need electric all day and night and can't run the genny that long. We decided it was worth a longer commute - about 35 miles - to have full hookups. This is a very basic, but very pleasant place to stay. No amenities as this isn't a resort (although they do have a very nice playground for the kids), but it's very quiet and serene, the sites are spacious and include picnic tables and the grounds are very well kept. It's the kind of place you would go if you want to get away from it all. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is about 2 miles west of Bardstown on US 62. It is very quiet, but also very basic. The price was a bit expensive considering what you get for your money, which is very little. No cable, weak TV reception. Wifi worked reasonably well. There is a shower/restroom building, but it is about 100 yds. away from the campsites. No other amenities whatsoever. The only other camping available locally is state park, but we didn't check it out. The owner was friendly and helpful in suggesting local attractions to see. He needs to do some work on the individual sites, because most were in need of additional gravel. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Bardstown area is very pretty. There are several distilleries nearby on the Bourbon Trail. We toured the Maker's Mark Distillery and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, be advised that tour buses bring large groups of people to the distilleries, so you may want to check ahead for tour availability. We also toured the mansion and grounds at the Old Kentucky Home State Park. Lots of history there.

Stayed here 4 nights with a motorhome rally group. Not much to choose from in Bardstown. Campground is small. Gravel sites, no patio, no picnic table, no cable, poor TV reception. Lot of big trees so satellite reception difficult. No services. Staff was friendly. Would not stay again. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

This was our first big adventure in our RV. We brought our daughter and boyfriend. We traveled over Memorial Weekend and booked reservations at the last minute. Our host was amazing. Helpful and very kind. The facility was a bit rustic but very quiet and quaint and neatly kept. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The bourbon distilleries were close by and it was minutes from Bardstown. One of the most interesting places we had been with cute shops, restaurants and historical sites. We would love to come back again!

Go see the Makers Mark distillery. Buy tickets in advance. Go to Talbots Tavern for great food and ghost stories. Stay as long as you can to see everything!!!!!

Do not stay here if you want or need any communication with the outside world. There is no cable, no satellite reception, and terrible antenna TV. WiFi is advertised but limited or non-existent. My AT&T cell phone even got bad reception so I couldn't use my hot spot. On the good side, the owner is very friendly and the sites are large and grassy. My dog loved it. It is a good camping experience. The campground is about 3 miles from Bardstown and convenient to the Bourbon Trail. I would not stay here again unless the owner made some improvements in WiFi and cable TV. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

The manager was very nice and helpful. We felt safe in the campground. It has a convenient location to Bardstown attractions. It has full hookups and bath house with hot water. However, we didn't expect unheated shower rooms that, while clean, were very rudimentary. They only had 50 amp connections but the manger did lend us an adapter. The area around the campground could use some clean up and maintenance. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Loved the way they set campers back to back so there is a very nice "front yard". Never saw this before and we liked it. There could be a little more space between the back of the units but it in no way was a negative impact to us. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Wifi was weak but most are. Nice privately owned campground and close to Bardstown which is particularly nice. White Acres does not have fire rings but you can use your gravel driveway for a fire. Since they have such nice "front yards" it would be good if fire rings if some kind were provided to allow you to sit near your door instead of your exhaust pipe. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a difficult Campground to review. Most of what you read here mirrors our experience: gravel roads and sites, crowned "levelish" sites, alternate RV parking pattern resulted in slides almost touching but larger awning-side yards, local contract workers in Rvs and cabins were all nice and quiet, etc. If you are looking for a "resort" experience this isn't it. Some aspects of this campground are a bit rough. Still, the location was perfect for our needs, the owners, an older gentleman (who my wife thought was too cute and could talk your ear off in the most entertaining way) and his son were helpful and always around. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Our main goals in going to Kentucky were to explore the distilleries, the Horse Park, Mammoth Cave and see the beautiful countryside. Bardstown was a great surprise. It is a beautiful historic town. It is well worth leaving a day to explore the shops, restaurants and meet some of the friendly people.

This campground is about 2 ½ miles west of the town of Bardstown. It is a simple campground, just sort of a large field with some trees. The driveways and the site pads are gravel. The site we had was far from level. Sites are full hook up with 50 amp electric service. For part of our stay we had a neighbor that was so close our slide outs almost touched. The WIFI service was very good. They also offer a bathhouse with showers and flush toilets that were not very clean. We paid $30 per night. Bardstown is in the heart of bourbon country so you are surrounded by distilleries. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.
