Rate quoted was Passport America - and I think that if you use PA, they put you in a less than desirable spot (in our case it was a pull thru that had no yard and was muddy). We had no sewer but that was ok since it was just a 1 night stay on our way thru the area. Staff was friendly but we only saw them at check-in. Water and electric were ok. We camped at Walnut Meadow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Adequate for a stop over or a couple of nights in Berea. Not fancy, pretty worn down, but well mowed. Lots of seasonal/full time renters on the perimeter, with short term sites in the center. There are a few really long pull-thrus where you won't need to unhook your tow. Management is super friendly and lives on property. The office and camp store buildings appear to be closed up, so call ahead and the owner will meet you in a golf cart to lead you to a site. Cash only. We camped at Walnut Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

I'll echo what the last couple of reviews said. Water and ele. only with dump station, flat, fairly quiet, good acess. Was told restrooms/showers were being redone. Did not see any work happiness while here. Many long term residents, but not a bother. We camped at Walnut Meadow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We spent 3 nights here exploring the great town of Berea. Not the best park but it was quiet. No sewer & dump station does not have water. No wifi. Worker met us and directed us to our spot. Pull thru sites. Only water & electric. Full hooks with sewer were all full with what appears to be full time residents. Same rate with or without sewer. Not sure we'd stay here again. Looks rough all around. Needs a good grooming. We stayed in a motorhome. We camped at Walnut Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Not a bad park by any means, we've stayed in far worse. But pros and cons about balance out.

PROS:

- Quiet

- Close to interstate and Walmart and lots of fast food restaurants

- Friendly and helpful managers

- Neatly mown and clean grounds

- Good price, $25 for water/electric or full-hookup sites. Unfortunately all full-hookup sites taken by long-term RV's.

- All sites easy to get in and out, mostly pull-thrus.

CONS:

- No full-hookup sites available, all taken up by long-term RVs

- They have a dump station but there is no water available to rinse hoses

- All buildings rather (to very) run down.

- All bath/shower(?) rooms stay locked, cannot access.

- All ground very flat so if rainy weather there is some standing water

Overall not a bad park for overnight or short stays. We camped at Walnut Meadow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We arrived in rainstorm and paid cash to owner who greeted us in her truck. It appears she may have been on her way out when we arrived. Handed over cash with no paperwork and took pull-thru for the one night we stayed. Hard to judge the campground since everything was muddy and full of puddles due to the rain. Wi-fi was iffy. We camped at Walnut Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is in a great area for tourist, crafting lovers and artist, including those looking for baskets, carvings and various other handmade objects. The park is owned and operated by a Christian family. They have raised their children to respect and to appreciate others. The park is very quite and clean. There are no dilapidated vehicles or travel trailers.

There are many full hookup large big rig pull thru's available. There is also a dump station available if needed.

They only allow the best full timers to stay full time; but welcome all those traveling or just camping for a day, a week or even a month. This is a great place to stay for whatever time you have available. You may enjoy it so much you will decide to be a regular visitor or to just full time it here. Great people, place and town. Come try them out. Happy Camping! We camped at Walnut Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Berea is a quaint small town that is very art oriented and is the home of Berea College. There is always something going on that is of interest downtown. Many different festivals are held yearly.

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

You?ve been driving all day, it?s getting late, and you?re tired and desperate for a place to pull off for the night. Walnut Meadow is that kind of place. And that was our situation when we stopped. I rated it ?satisfactory? with that level of desperation in mind. It was after dark, and there was no one in the office when we pulled in. There were no registration forms or park maps, but just what appeared to be a locked night box for late arrivals. The only information was a hand written paper on the door that said, ?If you need assistance?? and had a phone number. I took it to be for emergencies or problems at the sites.

I continued in, expecting to pay in the morning as is the usual practice after hours in the off season. The park was unlighted, and there were no signs or directions. The roads were muddy and a mass of potholes. I crawled along at an idle, the RV bouncing and rocking all the way in. A short way in a woman ran out into the road waving and telling me to stop. She turned out to be the "manager", and I got a polite lecture on ?how it is done here?, and was told that ?everyone" knows that. Seems that she expects everyone to call her at any hour (yes, the number on the door) and took some pride in saying that she has to get up sometimes at 2 am. We?ve been to a lot of RV parks and have never encountered a policy like that.

In the morning it became apparent that the park is in tough shape, appeared that many or most of the occupants are long-term, staying in RVs that didn?t look road worthy. The term ?seedy? comes to mind. The utilities (pedestals and water fixtures) were in bad shape, and the sewer ?connection? was just a pipe at ground level covered by a flat rock. The office and other buildings were in tough shape too. I checked the electric to be sure it was within acceptable voltages and it was OK : 118. I didn?t risk hooking up to the water, and didn?t venture into the shower building, so I can?t rate them. If you can stay awake a little longer ? pass this one by. We camped at Walnut Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.
