Many reviews seem to show two experiences at this KOA. One is open and sunny, but near the interstate with lots of road noise. The other is shaded and quiet. My experience was the second. The reason for this discrepancy is because the KOA is built right next to the interstate and appears to have added on in later years. That addition doesn't have the trees the older part does and it is closer to the interstate. So, if you end up back in the newer part, it will be louder and less shaded. The older part of the park is quite relaxing and considerably more quiet. With all of that said, I would still plan on coming back to this park, even if we end up on the new side. The campground itself is clean and well maintained and the city of Bowling Green has a lot to offer. Also, it's positioned very close to all the shopping, grocery stores, and activities. It's right in the middle of it all. The biggest downfalls I found were that our site did not have a grill and the fire pit didn't have a grate. So, for outdoor cooking, we went to another campsite. However, the concrete patio easily made up for this shortfall. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Corvette Museum is absolutely worth the time and the cost is low. Mammoth cave is nearby. Just around the corner from the KOA is a free aviator park with several fighter jets, an incredible site.

The first night was a premium spot because we called to come in a day early. The next week was still a pretty awesome site, and it was next to friends. Staff was nice, even gave us a bag of cucumbers and squash from their garden. It rained a lot the week before we got there so everything was muddy/soggy, including the dog park. Nothing against the park at all. We stayed here last year in the A loop and that was much tighter. We enjoyed this year's visit much more. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice park. The roads and sites are gravel, with most sites being pull-throughs. Full hookups with cable and wifi. Several "extras" available including a fishing pond, pool, and miniature golf. Lots of trees with most sites being well shaded. There was some road noise from the nearby interstate but it wasn't bad. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, and the Corvette Museum and Assembly Plant are only about 6 miles away. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here overnight after a long day on the road. As usual, this kind of campground wants lots of $$ for the amenities that we don't use. After driving about 2/12 miles off the highway to get to the campground, we were then sent to the back of the park for a 50 amp site which brought us close to the highway again. There was some highway noise. Our site was very uneven and the camp in general needs some TLC. Wifi was okay and we found enough over the air TV to suit us. We will not stay here again. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice shaded pull through site. There is I-65 road noise. Large enough park to walk the dogs within the facility. The dog park is good, just make sure all the gates are latched properly as there are three of them. Staff is helpful. Laundry room has four washers and four dryers. Cable and wi-fi reception was good. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Across the street and up the road a bit is the Aviation Heritage Park. Shopping is unlimited on Hwy 231. Large variety of stores, almost anyone you can think of and several restaurants. We had lunch at Roosters, relaxed atmosphere on Three Springs Road. The immediate area offers scenic country roads.

We have stayed here multiple times to visit family in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This time we have stayed for two months. We have watched as the staff cleaned up from winter months and prepared for spring, summer guests. Very impressive. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.

It was nice to have a cement pad for a patio with chairs, fire pit, and a table. The sites were easy to get into but close to each other. The park had a lot of amenities like a pool and playground but didn't have recycling. It was close to town and you could hear freeway traffic. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice RV park convenient to the freeway, downtown, and the Corvette assembly plant and museum. Most sites are a fairly spacious pull-through with a concrete patio with table, chairs and a fire-ring, and full- hookups. There is a nice sized dog park and the bathrooms and laundry room are modern and clean.
The only negative are the numerous speed bumps which are taller than they need to be and unpainted so they are hard to see. So be watchful. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.

The park was very busy the weekend we stayed and we got one of the last sites. It was what they called a "buddy" site. That meant one camper faced one way while the "buddy" faced the other and shared a large patio. Great when traveling with friends. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicer KOAs we have stayed at. We arrived after the office was closed so had no escort to our site but information was left out for us. Our site was very nice with a large patio (shared with the next camper) and a picnic table plus a table and chairs. It was a pull-thru site with full hook-ups and everything worked well except for the wi-fi. We also had no cell service here. We purchased propane the next morning and staff was helpful and friendly. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an overnight stay so we didn't use amenities, although everything looked pretty nice. Our highlight was the nice dog park, a welcome thing after a long day on the road. Site was wide enough to put out slides, but not awnings. Enjoyed the good water pressure! The one complaint we had about the park was that the roads were two-way, so when we were coming in and also when we were leaving, we met traffic and it made it very tight, especially when a small car refused to give way to our big rv. We'd stay here again since it's so close to family. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overnight stop heading to our next stop. FHU with WiFi and cable TV, all worked fine. Over-the-air HDTV was excellent also. Verizon and ATT, both voice and data, excellent. Some traffic noise during the day, but did not bother us at night. Overall, a good place to stop for the night and get a good rest. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The park is not far from the interstate but they need better signage at the entrance road. We passed right by before seeing it. Fortunately, we were able to turn around at the business next door. There is also a deep drop off at the exit when making a right turn. They really need to fill it in, if possible. Interior roads and sites are gravel. Our concrete patio had a nice shade tree, wrought iron table and chairs. There is also a free standing fire pit which we didn't use. There is some road noise but not annoying. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.
