Overall Rating:

Stayed midweek the 3rd week of June. Camp ground was not half full. Most of the FHU sites were taken. Restrooms and showers were clean and had good pressure and hot water. All utilities at the site were fine. Sites do share water, so make sure you have extra hose. It seems that at KY State Park CG, the odd # sites are the ones with the water on the wrong side and you will need extra hose. The grass area in the center of the loop is used for boat and extra vehicle parking. Kids enjoyed pool, playground, and CG activities. Nice and quiet at night. Saw deer and turkeys. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice state park with sites set in groups of loops. Good separation between sites. We had a fhu/50a site with a picnic table, fire ring, lantern hook, asphalt pad & cement patio. Water spigots are shared between 2 sites, so depending on which site you get, your water could come to your wet bay side or across your patio & under your RV. We were here in mid-October & the park was only about 1/3 full. There were more RV's in the lower section than the upper. Well stocked campstore, small putt-putt, restrooms/showers, laundry, playground, marina & a full service lodge are all on site. The restrooms/showers were typical state park cement block, but were clean & bright. $1 to wash/dry laundry. Their golf course is at the entrance to the park. This is a nice state park in a pretty region of Kentucky. I would recommend it. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lodge dining room overlooks lake. Nice dinner but awful service. Staff was not attentive. Drink glasses not kept filled, forgot appetizers, did not check back after serving food (missing items ordered) did not check to see if we wanted dessert...etc.

There is a small gas station & convenience store on the road into/out of the park. Burkesville is about 30 minutes away. Jones Restaurant's lunch buffet is a real bargain at $8. Delicious homemade pies for $2 for a large slice.

Beautiful quiet park. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Good Verizon signal. Clean large sites. Lots of wildlife. Decent golf course and mini golf. Lodge has good food and friendly servers. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We've been coming here in October for the past several years as the first stop on our annual road trip out through the US (we are from Ontario). In early October weekdays the park is virtually empty although it gets a little busier at weekends. The site is set out in loops with 7 or 8 sites per loop giving a good amount of privacy and nice outlooks over well kept grassed areas. Loop B has sewer and there may be another loop with FHU but not sure. Sites are concrete with a patio area and fire pit and some levelling may be required.

There are several washrooms with laundry (2 washers/2 dryers) at each one at $1 per load. Wifi has been the only bug this year as they have downgraded the system. We used to pay $15 for 2 weeks of Tengo Internet and it was speedy and sound. This year it is free and barely usable so we've not been able to use it for work. Went to Monticello and got a pre-paid AT & T package for the ipad instead.

Dale Hollow Lake is 2 miles and there are plenty of walking trails and a great golf course just a mile away within the park.

Apart from the Wifi issue this is a great spot and we'll be back again next year. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful setting close to the Dale Hollow State Park Lodge and marina. Some of the vloopscare full hookups and others have water and electric only. Most sites are level and later out with 8 pads at each loop in a circular pattern. There are two playground areas and 3 restrooms with showers and laundry facilities. The lodge has a restaurant, small store at the park with limited items and there is a small convenience store a few miles away. If needed more supplies it is necessary to travel to one of the surrounding towns about 18 to 25 miles away. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Truck Camper.

Several bath houses . The one we used was dated but clean. Select loops have full hookups. We stayed in B2. It was pretty level; had to level side to side a little. Not all sites are level and require some leveling. Sites are sort of short not too bad for us there. Class A's just have to park toad in the grass, which campground seemed OK with. Sites are in circles which is nice as you don't have a view of your neighbor's camper. You have your own view of woods or something else. Appears other loops have electric and water hookups if not full hookups. There are a couple playgrounds, 2 dump stations. Each site has a fire pit. Within the resort there is a Marina where you an rent boats also a Lodge where you can go eat meals as well. There is a campground pool. It wasn't in use but opens Memorial Day weekend. There is mini golf and a mini store to get ice, firewood and limited supplies. There is several hiking trails within the park if you only want to do one we suggest Eagles View best view in the park. The only complaint I have is there is not a Lake view but there is a local swimming hole east of the marina next to a boat ramp which is nice. Sites are asphalt with a asphalt patio area in the middle of the site. Very nice mature campground. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

$29 per night (with senior discount and online transaction fee) was for a needed-some-leveling asphalt pad with full hookups site. The surrounding area is grassy with a picnic table on the asphalt pad and fire ring. The sites could be tight if the campground is full. Rigs that are 40' long take up most of the site with very little room for parking a second vehicle. During our stay, many of the campers parked their second vehicle on an adjacent site. The campground is loaded with different types of trees and there were abundant types of wildlife about. The night sky is very dark so the stars are brilliant. There are miles of multi-use trails, a campground store, a very nice marina, a lovely lodge with restaurant, and a golf course loaded with sand traps on the green rolling hills. This campground is located about 15 miles from Burkesville, which has the basics. If you wish to use the park Wi-Fi, you must pay an additional fee. AT&T service was three bars of 4G LTE and Verizon service was two bars of 4G LTE. We received eight over-the-air TV station (PBS and CW only) and many radio stations. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Motorhome.

This park is beautiful! RV sites are placed on a circle with living space somewhat private because of the way in which the circles are laid out. Mostly quiet and camper friendly. The amenities are various and park employees are helpful and friendly. The lodge gift shop and dining hall meals are enjoyable. The best feature for us was the most beautiful and challenging golf course. One of the prettiest in our area of the country. A must see for vacationers and locals alike. We continue to camp here for all of the above reasons. Great place to vacation! We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, well-manicured park. The campground was practically empty during our four day stay. The campground is in the middle of no-where. Although it is a very scenic area/drive, other than the campground activities, there is nothing close by to do for recreation. We like renting a boat whenever we are staying near a large lake. However, there is a very slim selection of marinas that had boat rentals within a 45 minute drive from the campground. We rented a pontoon boat from Sulfur Creek Marina and would NEVER rent from Sulfur Creek again. Seems like most of the marina's that rent boats were on the other side (Tennessee side) of the lake. Dale Hollow Lake is the nicest and cleanest lake we have ever visited. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Travel Trailer.

Restrooms are clean and well kept a 7 out of 10. The campsites are well spaced but you may need two hoses as you share water spigot access with your neighbor. Wifi is available and works well but requires registration and pay to tengonet. The lake is beautiful and there is access for swimming and it's even pet friendly. We camped here in a pop up for three days. Most campers are in travel trailers. Lots of boaters. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Tent Trailer.

Nice campground. Very clean and well manicured. Swimming pool in the campground was very clean with a lifeguard on duty. Washing machines and dryers were available as well as soda and candy vending machines at the bath houses. Lodge has a restaurant with good food\buffet, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. No swimming beach, however there was a nice swimming hole just east of the boat launch. Follow the locals, lots of shoreline swimming in the lake. Pontoon boat rentals at the marina and off site private business rents ski boats and jet skis. Nice store at the campground and at the marina. The lodge also has a souvenir shop. Plenty of hiking/biking and horse riding trails. Also a cave on the park that can be explored. Nice state resort park overall. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Travel Trailer.

Another State Park that is great. Although it states big rig friendly, it would help if you knew your site in advance: not all are large enough. Most state 41 feet in depth but some lack that amount for sure unless you place your rear jacks on very unlevel ground. Sites are mostly level and paved and 1/2 or almost have sewers if you are staying very long. No TV or cell reception in park. You can get PBS and KET but no major news station. Cell service is available about 1 mile drive if you have AT&T. Bluegrass cell will work in campground and at lodge. Closest town is Burkesville with not much but does have gas and groceries and some shops. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Fifth Wheel.

What another great state park Kentucky has! Nice big lake! The sites are fairly level, shade is limited in some loops so check website for pictures for what works for you. Staff extremely friendly, nice golf course, plenty of activities for kids, if you take the cave tour you MUST use knee pads. It will hurt! Only complaint is the fire rings are right next to the picnic table pad & it's hard to get a group around the fire at night. We will be back! We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have camped at this campground two times and we really like the circles for eight campers that they have. You have a good distance between you and other campers. We camped with a whole group in our circle. We did not have sewer hookup which would have been nice, but overall we like this campground. Some sites do have sewer hookup which we will get if we go back. It is great for riding bikes and relaxation. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Fifth Wheel.
