Very clean & well maintained with nice grass and some trees. Plenty of room for a large motor home with tow car. The check in staff was extremely nice and accommodating. WiFi seems slow at first, but actually ended up being faster than our home WiFi. Very quiet except for train tracks nearby, but almost none at night and it was not a problem. Very close to Mammoth Cave and a couple of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Site was not perfectly level, but it's a campground. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Convenient on/off the interstate and 10 minutes from Mammoth Caves NP. Mostly-level gravel pull-throughs with grass in between sites. Friendly check-in staff with escort to your site. Daily morning garbage pick-up. The sites are kept clean and neat. Trees to the southwest may block your satellite reception but cable has a good channel selection. Utilities work fine and are the normal place on each site. We stayed two nights to allow visiting the caves, which are a worthwhile tour. Plenty of other kid-themed activities in the area. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bucky Bee's BBQ was just OK... There is a long hiking/biking trail with gravel surface through the NP which would be ideal for a bike ride.

I thought this RV campground was beautiful. Lots of trees, bushes, flowers, a fountain. A great dog park on site which was very clean. When we were leaving, I needed something from the camp store and it was closed. Apparently, the managers or owners were right across the road and saw me, and let me in early to buy my purchase. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

For sure go to Mammoth Caves, do the Historic Tour by a ranger, we did 4 small hikes, Heritage Trail, River Styx Spring Trail, Sloans Pond Walk & a short portion of the Rails to Trails. I wish I had another day to take advantage of biking the 60 miles of trails and greenways in the park. We also went to Abe Lincoln's birthplace and it was worth the hour drive.

Check-in was great. Friendly helpful staff. Park is clean and well maintained. Site was nowhere near level. Looked around at other sites and everywhere we saw various leveling issues. Utilities were fine. Cable consists of 24 channels, so if that is important, bring satellite. No charcoal grill at site and picnic table was wooden, warped and not usable. We stayed to visit various attractions in the area. Trains close by, but didn't bother us. It passing through the area we would stay again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

check in was efficient and cold. The place is very clean and the grounds are manicured, level sites with plants and grass and even a few trees. Wifi was spotty at best, the owner says it depends on how tall the RV is that's parked next to you! Noise, the train tracks are right there, and loud, the road noise is also there and loud. We stayed here 3 days and the noise stayed with us. Close to everything in the small town, we saw the sights and got on our way. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground just a few minutes from Mammoth Caves entrance. Good separation between sites, interior roads manageable for big rigs. Clean, friendly staff. We would stay here again. Some reviewers complained about road and train noise. Road noise is minimal, and we heard one train during the night, no big deal. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We Stayed at this campground for five nights. Very friendly staff. Large level pull thru sites. This is not a park for children but for those like ourselves that like a quiet, scenic, roomy park. This is the nicest park around the Mammoth Cave area. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed one day, it was very nice, but it was hot, the a/c unit could not keep up. There were no trees near us to shade the rv. I was impressed with the restrooms. The laundry room could be bigger, the entrance door would hit the dryer door if someone was not watching coming in and they were there. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is very clean and well maintained. There are not a lot of large shade trees, but the sites are all pull through and long enough for our 27 ft. rig with the tow dolly still hitched up. Showers and restroom facilities are immaculate. There is a dog run for your furry friends. Sites are level and graveled, propane is available on site. Garbage pick-up every morning. Nice club house and excercise room (I never used it, but it is very nice). We had stayed here five years ago and were impressed with the RV park. The quality and cleanliness is just as good now as it was five years ago. Staff were very courteous and professional. If I were in the area I will stay here again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is conveniently located just off I-65. It has to be one of the cleanest, best maintained campgrounds I have seen. It is a small place with all pull through spaces. They personally escort you to your spot when you arrive and I saw them helping one camper with their hookups. Each camper has FHU, limited cable, and wifi. If you have children, there is nothing much for them to do here but there is a lot locally. There are several restaurants in the area too. I like this place. Very nice. They offered a 10% military discount so our rate was 36 per night. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

First impressions go a long way. It was pouring down rain when we got there. One of their people met me at the door of the motorhome with an umbrella, walked me in for check-in, then walked me back out. Very nice!! The campground is exceptionally clean and neat. Campsites are darn near dead level but with enough of a slant to draw water away. We've got another visit to the area and plan to stay there again. Excellent value. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Several local places to eat. Check out the ice cream stand around the corner.

Mammoth Cave of course is the big draw, but it's also a convenient place to stage out of for the Corvette Museum, some of the well known distilleries and Civil War sites.

Overall Rating:

This relatively quiet RV campground is located off KY 65 near Exit 53. (It must be noted that active train tracks do border the end of the campground, but few trains blow their whistles, so the noise is not too obtrusive.) There are a few longer term residents in the park, but most are short-term. All occupants in the park are extremely quiet and very friendly. The office personnel are wonderful, offering help whenever possible. They made our stay very pleasant. All sites within the park are very long, gravel pull-throughs (plenty long enough for our 45' coach and our tow), and the roads within the park are also gravel. However, most people do drive slowly, so not much dust is raised with regard to the gravel topping. Between the wonderfully angled sites (you are not looking into your neighbors windows) are nice grass divides with a picnic table. Permanently placed fire rings are located between sites, often shared between two sites. One suggested improvement would be to increase water pressure to the sites, if at all possible. Additional amenities include laundry facilities, a small exercise room, and restrooms/showers, all located in the office complex and at-site daily garbage pick-up. There is no pool or spa on the property. Within the park, there is one park model that is used as a nightly rental. At the far end of the campground is a bark park, pavilion, and a clubhouse available for rent. Within easy walking distance of the park is a multitude of restaurants. Plenty of choices for everyone! It was great to walk to and from dinner...a bit of exercise after a nice meal. Although there are other RV parks in the area, it would be our choice to stay here again, especially since we are traveling without children. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.
