This is a beautifully landscaped metropolitan park off of the I-65. As it is so close to the main road there is quite a bit of traffic noise as well as frequent trains. The sites are all pull through and especially long and level. Utilities were well placed and easy to use. Water pressure was adequate at 45 PSI . There was cable available however OTA television stations were adequate. Both Verizon and Sprint worked well. There was an especially nice fenced grass dog area as well as grassy open areas to walk along. There was a fairly large grassy area between each RV but little tree coverage for shade. Most of the spaces had in ground fire pits, but because of the lack of privacy between sites we didn't use this feature. Within a few blocks are several eating establishments as well as fuel stations. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Mammoth Cave National Park is just a short drive. At this time of year we were able to get into tours easily but noticed that all of the weekend tours of the cave were full. If you wish more rustic camping experiences the state parks on the north side of the park have access via Ferry to make it an easy commute into the National Park.

Great campground. Very clean and easy to maneuver. We stayed on a Friday night when all the area schools were on fall break, so it was good we had a reservation as the CG was full. Site was gravel and fairly level. This park is definitely big-rig friendly. We have a 25 foot class C with towed car (44 ft.) and had a lot of extra room front & rear. All sites are FHU. Water pressure was 60 PSI. I am not sure why we were charged an extra $7.00 for 4 people (2 seniors + 2 grandkids 13 & 11) plus an extra $2.00 for booking (online, I guess), but we got Good Sam discount. We arrived after office closed at 6:00 and late check-in was easy, also firewood was right there for $4.00. Fire ring was stone, so we were able to cook out hot dogs and smores. CG was far enough from I-65, could barely hear sound from it. There is a railroad line nearby, but it didn't bother us as we live in an approach path for an airport and are used to jet planes flying over. Everything is close by, restaurants, attractions. Mammoth Cave is about 20 minutes west. One thing I didn't know until check-in: Check-out is 11:00 AM, but additional time can be purchased at $3.00/hour. Since we planned to stay until 4:00 PM Saturday, that would have $15.00 instead of booking for a second night for $40.00. If we return to Mammoth Cave area, we will definitely stay here again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mammoth Cave NP is about 20 minutes west. First week in October is fall break for area schools, so book cave trips ahead of time. Plenty of other attractions in the area. Also, lots of restaurants nearby. Park is on a dead end road away from that area and was quiet.

Very clean, simple park. Second time staying here, perfect on and off from I65. Site was long enough for our 40' fifth-wheel and truck without unhooking. Owner is great! We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean & well maintained with nice grass and some trees. Plenty of room for a large motor home with tow car. The check in staff was extremely nice and accommodating. WiFi seems slow at first, but actually ended up being faster than our home WiFi. Very quiet except for train tracks nearby, but almost none at night and it was not a problem. Very close to Mammoth Cave and a couple of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Site was not perfectly level, but it's a campground. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This RV campground is super clean and well maintained. There are flowers and a fountain and grass between each site. Some trees between sites. We usually don't use the laundry at campgrounds but we decided to go ahead. They were immaculate! I peeked into the restroom/shower area and again, spotless clean and well maintained. It's an easy in and out. It's located near other businesses but I didn't notice any additional noise. The young man that was always around when we had a question was very polite and friendly. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. All sites are pull through. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean orderly park. Staff and service very good. All sites level with grass and nice plant beds everywhere. Not much shade but still very nice. Close to the highway which is both good and bad. Also close to the train tracks. Noise did not bother us. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We made our reservation for two RVs 6 weeks prior to our arrival. We asked to not be near the train tracks as we had read it was problematic for many. Sure enough they put us right near the tracks, the closest two to the train tracks. We were all set up before we knew we were right next to the tracks. The long noisy freight trains ran frequently. We could not even hold conversations while the ran. All night it was noisy and disruptive. The management apologized but offered no help. They said the other end of the park is just as noisy. We know that was not true. None of us would ever stay there again and would advise people to find a different place. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Convenient on/off the interstate and 10 minutes from Mammoth Caves NP. Mostly-level gravel pull-throughs with grass in between sites. Friendly check-in staff with escort to your site. Daily morning garbage pick-up. The sites are kept clean and neat. Trees to the southwest may block your satellite reception but cable has a good channel selection. Utilities work fine and are the normal place on each site. We stayed two nights to allow visiting the caves, which are a worthwhile tour. Plenty of other kid-themed activities in the area. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bucky Bee's BBQ was just OK... There is a long hiking/biking trail with gravel surface through the NP which would be ideal for a bike ride.

I thought this RV campground was beautiful. Lots of trees, bushes, flowers, a fountain. A great dog park on site which was very clean. When we were leaving, I needed something from the camp store and it was closed. Apparently, the managers or owners were right across the road and saw me, and let me in early to buy my purchase. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

For sure go to Mammoth Caves, do the Historic Tour by a ranger, we did 4 small hikes, Heritage Trail, River Styx Spring Trail, Sloans Pond Walk & a short portion of the Rails to Trails. I wish I had another day to take advantage of biking the 60 miles of trails and greenways in the park. We also went to Abe Lincoln's birthplace and it was worth the hour drive.

Check-in was great. Friendly helpful staff. Park is clean and well maintained. Site was nowhere near level. Looked around at other sites and everywhere we saw various leveling issues. Utilities were fine. Cable consists of 24 channels, so if that is important, bring satellite. No charcoal grill at site and picnic table was wooden, warped and not usable. We stayed to visit various attractions in the area. Trains close by, but didn't bother us. It passing through the area we would stay again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I can only echo what many others have said. This is a very clean, well run RV park right off the interstate. Check in was friendly and efficient. Some trees and shade, but no satellite problems. Very well landscaped. Close to some restaurants. Smaller grocery store a little over a mile away and Walmart about 9 miles away. This part of Kentucky is not heavily urbanized, which many may find to be a plus. As others have mentioned, there is a train track alongside the property. It is the main track paralleling I-65, but trains do not pass frequently and I do not recall hearing one late at night. I do recommend this RV park. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

check in was efficient and cold. The place is very clean and the grounds are manicured, level sites with plants and grass and even a few trees. Wifi was spotty at best, the owner says it depends on how tall the RV is that's parked next to you! Noise, the train tracks are right there, and loud, the road noise is also there and loud. We stayed here 3 days and the noise stayed with us. Close to everything in the small town, we saw the sights and got on our way. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground just a few minutes from Mammoth Caves entrance. Good separation between sites, interior roads manageable for big rigs. Clean, friendly staff. We would stay here again. Some reviewers complained about road and train noise. Road noise is minimal, and we heard one train during the night, no big deal. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We Stayed at this campground for five nights. Very friendly staff. Large level pull thru sites. This is not a park for children but for those like ourselves that like a quiet, scenic, roomy park. This is the nicest park around the Mammoth Cave area. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
