We have traveled full-time for four years now and this is by far the cleanest park we have stayed. The landscaping is magnificent, the restrooms were spotless, and our space was spacious, level and shaded. Entire park is pull thru spaces with pedistools tall enough for surge and each one had a light. All the spaces are pull thru. If you have to back your RV up in this park you don't know how to drive! The the freeway near but far enough you don't get the noise. There is a railroad track at the back but after a day I rarely noticed it. The owner is side beside his employees and everyone of them treat you like family, the family that you like! Don't pass this place by. Perfect overnight stop or a base for exploring. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Great on/off overnight spot or a base for exploring the many caves in the area or the Bourbon Trail. The only downside is there is no swimming pool when it's hot but we consider it a win because there aren't a lot of kids.

Level pull thru sites that are gravel, but well maintained. Water pressure great and sewers have threads, which is a plus! Trees are trimmed and no problem with satellite dish working. They do have cable, just didn't use it. Staff was very friendly and showed us to our site. Lot's of rules, but that is a good thing! We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff and escorted to RV site. Asked for the tree to be trimmed since it was hitting the RV. They must have forgotten. Great doggie park. Gravel through out the park. No pool. Parked the RV for a week and saw the attractions around the area. Loud trains all day long and night. Reasonable weekly rate. Enjoyed our stay will be back. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful grounds and spotless facility! Lots of rules, but park is obviously well cared for because of it. The landscaping is amazing compared to other private parks. Lovely fountain with an incredible variety of flowers, trees, and shrubs. Nice restrooms, laundry facilities, and small area with exercise machines. Gravel roads and level pull-thru sites which are fairly close together. Easy access for big rigs. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small park in a rural setting just off I-65. It is a great location to explore Mammoth Caves NP. We also did day trips to Louisville and Lexington. The sites are long pull-thrus with a wide road so no worries getting in or out. The park has pretty trees, perennials, and lots of grass in between sites. The landscaping is well cared for. Folks in office are kind and professional on the phone and in person. We will definitely stay there again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped overnight in Feb 2018. Terrific place. A nursing student checked us in (didn't get his name). Quick and efficient. Then he insisted on escorting us to our site. Then made sure all the utilities work. Internet & cable were good (vs many RV parks with NO FI). When walking the dog, it rained - he picked us up in golf cart & took us back to camper. Very well maintained. Every aspect neat & orderly. Trashed picked up at your site. All pull thru. Every site has nice picnic table & brick fire pit. Walk to Cracker Barrel and a few other restaurants. Great for overnight and would be great when visiting Mammoth Cave. Close to I 65, Cave City & National Park. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a beautifully landscaped metropolitan park off of the I-65. As it is so close to the main road there is quite a bit of traffic noise as well as frequent trains. The sites are all pull through and especially long and level. Utilities were well placed and easy to use. Water pressure was adequate at 45 PSI . There was cable available however OTA television stations were adequate. Both Verizon and Sprint worked well. There was an especially nice fenced grass dog area as well as grassy open areas to walk along. There was a fairly large grassy area between each RV but little tree coverage for shade. Most of the spaces had in ground fire pits, but because of the lack of privacy between sites we didn't use this feature. Within a few blocks are several eating establishments as well as fuel stations. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Mammoth Cave National Park is just a short drive. At this time of year we were able to get into tours easily but noticed that all of the weekend tours of the cave were full. If you wish more rustic camping experiences the state parks on the north side of the park have access via Ferry to make it an easy commute into the National Park.

We have stayed at Cave Country numerous times. This is one of our favorite RV parks. Always clean and well maintained. Even our boys enjoy staying here without having any playground area. The staff is always very friendly and very helpful. We will stay here again!! Offer God Sam discount along with Military discount as well. Not sure on any others. Restaurants nearby, some within walking distance. Mammoth Caves is close by along with Dinosaur World. Glasgow is a short drive if need any services or shopping. Clean orderly park. Staff and service very good. All sites level with grass and nice plant beds everywhere. Not much shade but still very nice. Close to the highway which is both good and bad. Also close to the train tracks. Noise did not bother us. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV campground is super clean and well maintained. There are flowers and a fountain and grass between each site. Some trees between sites. We usually don't use the laundry at campgrounds but we decided to go ahead. They were immaculate! I peeked into the restroom/shower area and again, spotless clean and well maintained. It's an easy in and out. It's located near other businesses but I didn't notice any additional noise. The young man that was always around when we had a question was very polite and friendly. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. All sites are pull through. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, well maintained, clean campground in a great location for visiting the National Caves. Landscaping is perfect. Friendly staff and we would stay here again; probably will. We especially like the large grass dog walk. Although the campground is near the Interstate there is little if any road noise. Make sure you visit the Butterfly Garden behind the park office. I can only echo what many others have said. This is a very clean, well run RV park right off the interstate. Check in was friendly and efficient. Some trees and shade, but no satellite problems. Very well landscaped. Close to some restaurants. Smaller grocery store a little over a mile away and Walmart about 9 miles away. This part of Kentucky is not heavily urbanized, which many may find to be a plus. As others have mentioned, there is a train track alongside the property. It is the main track paralleling I-65, but trains do not pass frequently and I do not recall hearing one late at night. I do recommend this RV park. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Check-in was great. Friendly helpful staff. Park is clean and well maintained. Site was nowhere near level. Looked around at other sites and everywhere we saw various leveling issues. Utilities were fine. Cable consists of 24 channels, so if that is important, bring satellite. No charcoal grill at site and picnic table was wooden, warped and not usable. We stayed to visit various attractions in the area. Trains close by, but didn't bother us. It passing through the area we would stay again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient on/off the interstate and 10 minutes from Mammoth Caves NP. Mostly-level gravel pull-throughs with grass in between sites. Friendly check-in staff with escort to your site. Daily morning garbage pick-up. The sites are kept clean and neat. Trees to the southwest may block your satellite reception but cable has a good channel selection. Utilities work fine and are the normal place on each site. We stayed two nights to allow visiting the caves, which are a worthwhile tour. Plenty of other kid-themed activities in the area.
