Check-in was great. Friendly helpful staff. Park is clean and well maintained. Site was nowhere near level. Looked around at other sites and everywhere we saw various leveling issues. Utilities were fine. Cable consists of 24 channels, so if that is important, bring satellite. No charcoal grill at site and picnic table was wooden, warped and not usable. We stayed to visit various attractions in the area. Trains close by, but didn't bother us. It passing through the area we would stay again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The value wasn't "bad", but I think the place is overpriced for what you get. Unreliable park wifi, meager water pressure, loud trains at night/early in the morning. I thought the water pressure problem was with my coach, but the next park we stayed at had great pressure, so it wasn't my coach. If you have a fifthwheel, you're better off pulling as far into your site as possible and parking behind your coach if there is room, unless you face the center road. To park in front of sites that face the outer road, you are supposed to drive nearly around the entire park to get to the front of your site. They do not want you driving thru an empty site and only the center road is 2-way. The staff is friendly and they pick up your trash if you put it at the front of your site. Cable worked well. They have a nice fenced dog park. Other than the trains, it is a pretty quiet place. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

El Mazatlan mexican restaurant had very good food and service. The bar-b-q joint close to the park (Bucky Bs or something like that) had good food and mediocre service. The smoked pork was fantastic.

Mammoth Cave has several different tours available. Some fill quickly.

The park is neat and clean and has nice little flower gardens. It is also nestled between cornfields and has a nice mountain backdrop view. However, we had problems.
1. We had very little water pressure throughout our stay. The staff tried to adjust it, but to no avail.
2. The wifi was very undependable. It would be stronger in the morning, but by afternoon, it was so slow it was not worth even attempting to use.
3. The laundry driers were powered so low that we had to run every load twice. They weren't large loads.
It was too frustrating to ever deal with again. We will not be back. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Has pull through sites. Was muddy where we camped and we got lots of mud on our shoes. Or it could have been dog waste, not sure. People were nice. Is a fine stop over for one night, but would not stay for long. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice level sites. Easy in and out for our 38' rig. Nothing fancy. Staff was friendly and had an escort to the site. $25 charge for not picking up after your pet. (Great idea). Very convenient to Mammoth Cave NP. We would stay here again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We were here a week: reason is once you sign in, you can not get a refund. And they do not tell you all the rules until you sign. We had no longer got settled when a train came ripping through just one row from us. Did not see tracks. It comes every hour at least, some times more: busy place. We also asked for a lot with the biggest tree, none are big so we got a lot with no tree. Apparently the owner is not on location and no changes can be made. It is easy in and out and good location for spending time at area. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is a nice place to stop for an overnight. It is truly "big rig friendly", but it lacks kid friendly activity. No pool, no playground. The spaces are tight, there is a common "fire pit" and covered area for a group to meet, but no fire rings at the sites. The park is very new, so the trees are still saplings. There is a very active rail line along the back of the park, trains run about every twenty-two minutes, but the only time I heard a train whistle was when the deer were on the tracks. This seems to be a common activity in the early morning and early evening. WiFi is pretty consistent since the park is small, but the park admin do not know anything about how it works. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.
