Once again we enjoyed our stay....our site sloped some front to back but was able to level....services worked great with fhu and our site had a great view of the mighty Mississippi River....restrooms and laundry were clean, with plenty of hot water...park was peaceful and the area is great to explore....AT&T was ok, used our hotspots although the park has Tango, but it was very slow....once again this is by far one of the nicest parks in our commonwealth.... We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the small store in town, the owners are doing a great job and are accommodating campers very well...visit Sikeston Missouri while there and go to Lambert's, home of the throwing rolls, great food about 45-50 miles, plus you may see an eagle or two.....also go to Reelfoot another very interesting place...

This is our favorite Ky state park because of location.....this is a small park with a lot of character......the campground is small but the sites are large and some with full hookups...the sites that overlook the Mississippi River are fantastic....we sit and watch the barges go up and down the river all day and night....our site was large with full hookups and everything worked great...the showers and laundry were clean and had plenty of hot water....the park is in a quiet area and it's very peaceful...there is a short nature walk around the park and the history and exhibits around the park make for a very enjoyable stay... We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a new small store that has opened up close to the park that has the basics, which is a plus...but if you want a Wal Mart its about a 30 mile drive so be prepared....

We stayed here over-night while traveling back home after a vacation out west. This is a smaller park, but very neat and clean. As someone else mentioned the sites are paved, but not level. There is a nice amount of space between sites. We happened to get a full hook-up sight on a Thursday night. While we were there it was very quiet and restful. We were traveling with a 40 ft. fifth-wheel pulled by a dually pick-up and we were able to get them both on our site. Camp host was very nice and helpful. We'll definitely come back to this little gem. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Busy park during summer and weekends. Spacious sites with water and electric. Lots of kids, but quiet at night. Pay wifi, but a weak signal. Not worth the extra fee. Only 2 showers and toilets which is a problem when the park is crowded. No central check-in. With reservation just proceed to your site. There is a list of unreserved spots on the post as you enter the campground. Hosts will come around to collect. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful large well kept grassy areas, I had a preferred site #27 with full hookup, there are 9 such sites. My site was a river view of the Mississippi River (not Tennessee). Parking pads are asphalt most are not level. Park had several children's play areas, hiking trails, civil war museum (campground is the site of a civil war fort), 3 rental cabins and a small food vendor. WIFI was contracted and had a $4 per day fee (didn't use it). Campground maintenance personnel were very cordial and helpful. Very nice group picnic pavilions. In all, one of the nicest state parks I have ever been to and would like to return. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

My wife and I purchased our first tent camper last weekend. So we went here for our first outing with our new to us camper. The camping was very clean. Grass was mowed. There were virtually no limbs or sticks from the 100+ trees in the camping area. Almost every site has trees on it except a couple that has river views. The restroom/shower room was very clean and had hot water. They do sell firewood and ice here and they have a snack bar in the park itself that sells ice cream, hamburgers and other snacks. The down side is the nearest store is about 12 miles away. The nearest town of any size the has restaurants is about 30-35 miles away. This park fills up quick on the weekends even though it is kind of the beaten path. But there is not a lot people driving though the campground looking. It has a nice play area for younger kids. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Tent Trailer.

It is a nice campground, but I was disappointed with the river view. It indeed is far in the distance, much more so than I expected. Not a lot to do in this park, and a lot of really unlevel sites. The other problem was that there was barely any Verizon voice service and almost no data service, so I had to purchase daily passes from Tengointernet, at $4 per day, and even had problems with that not always not working. I was able to get satellite from Site 29, but the site just north of me might have been better. There are a lot of trees, so satellite is pretty iffy. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Motorhome.

A beautiful well maintained KY state park on top of a high bluff with a wide far off view of the meantering Tennessee River, barges, forest. The Park is vast with civil war trenches, museum and artifacts, playground, etc. Roads and sites all paved with EW, and some with S also. Negative almost all are unlevel and need lots of levelers. Well spaced with lots of trees for most sites. $18 for seniors. It is isolated and reached by small winding roads. Good job Kentucky except you didn't level the sites. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Motorhome.

Second time we've stayed there. Us another couple did the same last year also. We were right in the Rivers Bluff with great views of the River and River Traffic. One of the best RV parks and definitely the best we've stayed in that was State Ran. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful, nicely appointed and well maintained campground. It sits on a bluff over the Mississippi River and some sites have views of the water and boat traffic. The interior loop road as well as the site pads are asphalt and in great condition. The sites are nicely spaced with lots of grass and a graveled area for a table and fire pit. Some sites have 50 amp, some have sewer, and some have both but you can't tell it by their web site camp map. Some sites are plenty long for big rigs. Recommend that you call their number and verify the details for each site. There is a museum and good walking trails with things to do and see. Near the museum there are picnic areas with great views of the river. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Motorhome.

Senior discount reflected. This is one of my favorite state parks. It's been almost twenty years since last here but it's as well-maintained as ever. The walk along the Mississippi River is still awesome. Sites paved but not level. Wi-Fi is offered at $3/day, which was worth it. Verizon signal poor but OK with antenna. Would return. Site are large, grassy, many shaded. Gravel site. Very unlevel. Sites # 25-30 have a beautiful view of the Mississippi. But even without the view, sites are really nice. Only about 4 or 5 sites have sewer (near dump station) Bathrooms are clean and modern Laundry has only 2 washer/dryers, but clean and fine. Pets are welcome, with plenty of grassy area to walk them. Plenty of room at site to tether. Offers Tengonet or Boingo via Tengonet. Just OK, but better than our worse than dial up connection via Verizon. Verizon Internet mainly not usable Sprint Internet had no signal For Satellite, there are quite a few trees, but should be able to get a clear sky view. There's a small book exchange in laundry room A couple of hiking trails, snack bar, museum. Walmart is 21 miles away. We were disappointed with the camp host's dog. Cute little dog, friendly, but barked and barked and barked. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park that is very isolated. There is a small museum, a mini golf course, and nice trails. The snack bar is a very nice touch as well. We rated it so low because of the cost and the constantly barking dogs as well as the odd assortment of campers. The bath houses and showers, while clean, are very small. The campground is very isolated. The nearest town is 20-30 minutes away, and the closest one of any real size is 40 minutes away. We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Tent Trailer.

This park is a 10 plus. Truly one of the most beautiful parks we have ever camped. Gorgeous site overlooking the Mississippi River. Grounds are immaculate and sites level with nice campfire ring. Swings and benches to sit in and watch the barges go down the river. Truly breathtaking sunsets on the river. We were here in the middle of the week in October and it was not crowded. Hope to visit again soon. The only negative was the road getting into the park is narrow and curvy, but worth the drive! We camped at Columbus-Belmont State Park in a Motorhome.
