We came in a day early and they accommodated us but it was a very tight spot; they claimed they were full. They had about 10 open sites we could see and low and behold when they moved us the next morning that is where they moved us. I thought it was ridiculous they put us through that. That being said, the final site was a good one. Table was wood but in decent shape. Fire pit was very nice and surrounded with bricks. Nice tall trees. Mostly gravel, not much grass to walk the dogs in. They seem to have more 'permanent' sites in the rear which was kind of sketchy. Confederate flags were flying and I just didn't get a good vibe. There is absolutely nothing to do in this town. We ate at Sonny's BBQ and drove into Corbin hoping to see something. Nope. We are new at this and are learning the hard way how to pick a good place to stay. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Travel Trailer.

There is a truck stop, Sonny's BBQ, Cracker Barrel, Was-Mart, and a few smaller things. We drove to the lake but it was a disappointment.

We stayed 1 night on our way back to TN. The site was very nice though we did not like having to share our patio with another family. We had a major problem with the electrical on this site. We could not get 50 amps from the connection as advertised. We also tried the adjacent site (shared same pedestal) and had the same problem. We told the office of the problem and were told they would send someone to check it out. No one ever came. Ended up running the generator all night. We mentioned the problem to the office again the following morning. They apologized but honestly didn't seem too concerned. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

The staff were helpful but it was as if you were putting them out of their way. The Wi-Fi was terrible at best because the connection kept dropping or was extremely slow. We were in a pull thru site with full hook up (W-S-E 30/50) plus free cable TV. The campground was clean, the cement pad was acceptable, but had to be shared with your neighbor and the facilities were clean. Other campers staying were friendly. Nice resort to stay for a night. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not our favorite KOA. Not as well maintained as most KOA's. Gave us a site which shared a patio with the office. We asked to move and were sent to the area with mostly long term residents. It was pretty sketchy. Lots of confederate flags and weird activity. Would not return. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park is nice and I am sure it very busy in the summer months. Our pull thru site was just perfect size for the Motorhome and toad. It had about six sewer dumps to use on this site and that was very helpful for a bath and a half that has two holding tanks. we would stay here again if we need a place to get off the road. WiFi was spotty in the section we where in. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Like many KOA (and other campgrounds) a bit close to the interstate, but not too noisy. Easy to get our 40 footer in and out even towing our Jeep. Used the laundry, nice and clean. Needed a jump start on our tow vehicle and the staff was quick to help. Also needed to receive and send a fax from the office and, again, very helpful. Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a very confusing park. The road in/out is very narrow. The sites have been squeezed into a small piece of property. Some lots cannot be used since they added the "large upscale pull thru lots". We were in lot 14, which is shared with another coach. Our lot had a large tree that hindered us from opening our back driver side slide. We were told this wouldn't be a problem and we wouldn't have to unhook our car. When we started to leave we had to pull straight to avoid hitting the tree with the back of the coach. Then we couldn't get by a half dead bush. I tried breaking the dead branches off, but that didn't work. So, we had to unhook the car, which was on an angle, back up and start over. Luckily everyone else had left so we had room. I would suggest you never stay on lot 14 in a big rig. Get a lot without a patio that has a straight shot out of the campground. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground when I called, I asked and was told, their wifi works well. I also asked about if we could get out with our Dish. They said no problem. Never had anybody complain. WELL I AM. Their wifi sucks, can not get on even parked in front of office. Could not get out with Dish...TOO many trees. I think its really sad how we were misled. We were booked for 2 days, asked for our 2nd night refund. After some back and forth bickering, we were finally reimbursed. NEVER again would I book here. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived after hours for a one night stay. After hours check in included a detailed map of how to get to the campsite. Cash only accepted for after hours check in. The facilities were very nice. Staff very accommodating , one of the better KOA's. Campsite layout kind of funky, could be a challenge to large rigs on some sites, but they do guide you, and help you into your assigned site . Power and water good, wifi poor! Cable tv not bad, never could get all channels advertised. Pool clean and inviting, some road noise and train horn in the distance. Nice drive to Cumberland Falls, and a free state park. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive to Cumberland Falls, take a picnic,or dine at the Lodge nearby. No entrance fee to the park. We were there late August, very few people visiting. Park posts times and dates to see the Moon Bow at the falls. The Lodge also has a large open air swim pool open to the public for a small fee. We looked in there was no one using the pool on our visit.

The rate is after applying the KOA club discount. We rented one of their deluxe sites with "custom furniture" and fire ring. We had little trouble pulling into the site with our 40 ft motor home with toad, but barely made it out with just the motor home and connected on the roadway. Most of the other sides would pose a similar challenge with longer RV's. This is a typical KOA with sand and gravel throughout the park. The pool was warm and inviting, but the water lacked clarity and had an odor we could not place (we have an in-ground pool at our stick built house) and decided against spending much time in the water. The southern loop appears to be mostly seasonal or long-term campers and is in a heavily wooded area. The sites that are probably more likely used for overnighters are mostly in the open. We would probably not camp here again due to the short length of most of the sites. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA is barely average. We liked the friendly staff. But there wasn't much else to like. They have covered almost the entire park in gravel so there's very little green space left. What little grass & shrubbery that does exist is full of weeds and not well tended. With so much gravel, it's like a honeycomb of confusing sites & roads. Some BBQ pits weren't cleaned. A cap was left off the sewer next to us. We had a premium pull thru yet it was a sparse 40' long. Very few sites were level. Sites were awning close together. Two of their longer premium sites are nose to tail so RVs share a common patio between them -- a peculiar & undesirable arrangement. Roads & turns are a bit narrow especially for larger rigs. Park wifi was intermittent. Both Verizon & ATT had weak signals. Cable TV worked well which was good since trees block satellite access. I'd look elsewhere unless you have a smaller rig. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Spacious, deluxe pull-through site. Layout seems very confusing and difficult to maneuver if you aren't familiar. Was easy to get in and out with camp guide. Very nice, deluxe sites with an assortment of patio layouts. Easy access from I75.

Wifi was almost non-existent and only 1-2 bars on ATT cell. Tv was great. Laundry room was very clean, but not efficient. Washers $1.50 for 20 minute was. Dryers .75 for 20 minute dry. 2 cycles did not dry 5 towels.

Pool area is in the center of the park and was a mess. Looked like it was used for storage. Water was sitting in the pool and has turned into a bullfrog pond. They were very loud all night long. No decrease in rates for off-season with no amenities. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.
