The good, FHU sites. Close to the event we were attending. The bad: Located with railroad tracks on one side and Interstate on the other side. Heavily treed, no satellite at all. Many sites are better suited for campers and 5th wheels, instead og 40 Ft DP. This is do to leveling. This campground in my opinion is no longer used for a camping destination spot, but over-night and workers in the area. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Motorhome.

Without a doubt, one of the noisiest parks I've stayed at in 11 years of traveling. Freeway noise is not uncommon, but the trains were terrible with one every half hour - 200 feet from our site. There is a crossing very close. Excruciating train whistle for those with hearing aids. Even with both a/cs running, the train whistle was excruciatingly loud. Park was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely will NOT stay here again! We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Motorhome.

This is one of our favorite parks. We do not agree with the previously posted negative reviews. Yes, there is some traffic noise, but we did not find it to be excessive and it was almost completely drowned out by the white noise of our air conditioner. We enjoyed sitting outside of our trailer and reading. It is quite peaceful. The trains during the day are loud, but we didn't hear any at night (maybe we slept through them, or maybe the schedules have changed since the negative reviews were posted). The park is beautiful with many mature trees. It has a KOA feel to it and we were told that it was the second KOA in the USA. However, it is now independent, and it is cheaper than any similar KOA we've ever stayed at. The management are very friendly and the utilities all worked fine. We stayed a day longer than we had originally planned, and we would certainly return to this park and recommend it to our friends. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a difficult Park for me to rate. The park itself is lovely and well maintained. Beautiful park. No problems with utilities. Some turns are a little tight but no problem with 36' with toad still attached. Then there was the train. Goes by several times a day and night. The constant hum from I-75 was a bit annoying if you were outside but not an issue inside with A/C running. Close to The Ark Encounter. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Motorhome.

Very loud campground with trains and traffic from Int. 75 running all day & night. Very tight camping sites for big rigs. The grounds were not maintain very well with high grass through out the park. The pool was not operation and no doggie park. The owner seem nice and ran it with another work camper. Horrible Wifi. Will not go back. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Read previous reviews and was a bit skeptic about the decision to stay here, but after arriving and interacting with management, all I can say is those earlier reviews must have been with different people. The management and all staff were absolutely wonderful to work with. The campground is wooded, gravel roads, but very peaceful, and comfortable. We stayed there for our visit to the Ark Encounter, and would not hesitate to stay there again. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Trapped between I 75, a railroad, and the State Highway this campground is VERY LOUD!!! The hourly train goes all night long as do both the roads. We "supposedly" we given a spot close to the restrooms, but it was forever to get there. Very close spots were available on the other side of the building???? The restrooms and showers were nice as was the park itself, but the noise ruins it all. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Tent Trailer.

We will never stay at this RV Park again. We have never had such a rude manager/owner talk to us the way he did. The last night we stayed, he came banging on our door. We opened the door and he started screaming at us because he did not like the way we parked our Jeep. Due to all the rain and no gravel on the edge of the narrow parking spot, he did not like how we backed up our Jeep to plug in my husband's power wheelchair on the wheelchair lift behind our Jeep. He screamed that we were ruining his campground by parking on the grass. The tires were just on the edge of the grass where the gravel was at one time and had grass growing through the gravel that was left. We could not get a word in. He screamed at us all the way back to his golf cart and then went banging on the door of the RV ahead of us. Other campers heard everything and could not believe that he would talk to a customer like that. When we made our reservation by phone the day before we got there, we were told they did not have any 30 amp sites left with sewer hookup, so we had to pay extra for the 50 amp with sewer hookup. When we got there, and during our stay at the RV park, it was less than 1/3 full with plenty of 30 amp with sewer hookups available. We can not comment on the condition of the restrooms, showers, laundry room or any other types of facilities since we did not use them. A positive thing about this park is that it is between Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum and close to I-75. If we hadn't reserved it for the 4 nights, we would have gone someplace else. We would not recommend this RV Park to anyone. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Motorhome.

Older park with a complete canopy of big trees. Most completely shaded park ever stayed in. Grounds are fairly well kept and access is adequate. The entrance to the park off the highway is extremely difficult to see, and with traffic it's a real chore to get into. Completely missed the turn going south on the first try and had to go nearly two miles to turn around. The park is completely isolated from towns to go to so travel is a must if you need anything. Being self contained this camper did not use the park facilities. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Used this park as staging to visit the Arc Encounter in Williamstown, KY. The Arc Encounter is an Answers in Genesis attraction and is well done and very interesting to see. This park is the nearest park to that site in the entire area.

We came to the park from the north and it was hard to see. Drove right by and had to turn around. The park is well kept, and pretty with all the big trees, and during our visit, many flowers. We are self contained so we didn't use facilities on site. I can't review them. Many reviews complain about noise. It is very noisy with interstate traffic and the rail road, but the close proximity of these noise makers can easily be seen on Google maps' satellite view. Do your home work. This park has most of all the full hookups including sewer. Beware of many parks in this general area that only have dump stations. Those parks list their amenities, but don't say full hookups. Their list has "dump station" at the bottom of the list. This park doesn't have cable, but many stations can be received on a regular antenna. The night we stayed I would say that there was less than a quarter of the sites filled and most of those not filled seemed to have had little use. In trying to make a reservation a few days earlier we were told there were no full hookup spaces available. I now question whether that was actually true, or just hype to make folks think they're real busy. We had to stay in another park, but then got reservations a couple days later. It all worked out, but I wasn't pleased about that. Staff was efficient and cordial. We were led to our site and the staff helped us get into the site. Unless an RV park has concrete slabs to park on that are perfectly level, spaces are generally in need of some help getting a rig leveled. We did here and it's not a problem for most spaces. There are many complaints about unlevel sites. There are some, but for the most part it's not a problem. For folks going to the Arc Encounter this is the closest park, and for that venue it's completely acceptable. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Dry Ridge, KY is five miles south where there are restaurants and a Super Wal Mart along with other shopping. The Arc Encounter is five miles south from there (10 miles from park). Florence, KY 20 miles north has more shopping than can be imagined. If you're just an over niter it a good park.

This trip was our "maiden voyage". The owner and manager could not have been more helpful. We weren't sure about hooking up the utilities. The owner got us pointed in the right direction and even checked on us to make sure we were successful and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The fishing pond has a paddle boat and the pool is beautiful. We used the showers and the laundry room while we were there. They were clean and comfortable. We found the campground to be peaceful. So peaceful, we over slept both mornings! Loved Cincinnati South and will return as often as possible. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Do not consider Cincinnati South Campground! It is so noisy one can not think! or talk!. It is a nice campground (with less then friendly host) but it is located very close to a noisy I 75 and an active railroad track. I am not kidding when I say, reconsider! Sleeping in a cabin with windows open (no A/C) was very loud. Train came through 3 times in the night and woke us all up. Road noise from highway nearby is duller, but kept some of us awake even in between the trains. In an RV with windows closed might be OK. Too bad, because otherwise a pleasant stay. Management polite & helpful. Bathrooms and cabin not glistening, but basically clean and adequate. Laundry with place to wash dishes. The water near our cabin was not on. Spent one night here on the way to taking our new travel trailer home. As stated below, the campground is within 100 feet of the railroad tracks. The train seems to go by every hour and kept both of us awake for most of the night. The grounds are not yet in bloom so we could not tell much about the landscaping, but it seemed to be very nice. The sites were a little close with about 8 feet of grass between them and most had trees. All sites had a picnic table and fire ring. As we only stayed overnight, we did not use the dump station. Owner/management was very helpful and nice. This campground is ok for an overnight if you are a sound sleeper, but I would not want to spend any amount of time here.
