We stayed at Fletchers which was great!! We only stayed overnight and it was nice and quiet. Almost all sights are pull thru. - jk13zplace
May 2017 - $23.00
This park is geographically in Tennessee, just off LaFayette Blvd in Clarksville, and not on the catonement area of Ft. Campbell, so it's open to anyone traveling through the area. A few soldiers and families in the park, and many of us retired types as well. There are actually two RV parks, but we stayed at Fletcher's because of the 50 amp availability and pull through sites. Not much cell or TV reception, but you are next to the skeet range, so there is entertainment.
Take your Golden Age or America The Beautiful Passport to get the reduced rates. Open to everyone. - SenoiaSeniors
May 2016 - $20.00
We stayed for 1 night in the larger campground, next to the skeet range. The campsite itself was nice enough. The sites are fairly close, but not any more so than some KOAs we've recently stayed in. This park has tremendous potential, but the common areas need some TLC. It's almost like a forgotten little area. As for the wooden bridge, when I called to inquire about camp site availability, I was told that the 9 ton load limit was posted to keep large trucks from using the bridge and thus destroying it. I was assured that our 40 ft Motorhome would not be a problem, and it wasn't.
Reservations are not accepted. However, I was able to call to inquire about open campsites prior to driving all the way into the campground. The person who answered the phone was most helpful and told me how many sites were available at that point in time that would accommodate our Motorhome.
Would love to see the military invest a little time toward cleaning up the park, lake and stream so that its potential could be maximized. Definitely a good place to stop for a one night stay. - Donna and Steve

The sites were level and well-spaced. The manager was friendly. The park was easy to access from the highway. We would stay here again. - Ann Dave Xena

We have stayed at the park many times over the years and it has always been great. The new owners have made many improvements and are making this more of a destination place. They have added a dog park area and could not do enough to help everyone. Love it. Owners and Staff are wonderful. Will always return. Thank you to them all. - Terryb1951

We only stayed here overnight on our way home to Wisconsin from North Carolina. It was a very nice park with sparkling clean bathrooms and showers - in fact the cleanest I've ever seen in a campground. We didn't use the laundry room but that was spotless also. We had a pull through site and it was easy to navigate. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. - Southbar

Stayed here for a month. They let us pick our spot from open ones. Site was very easy to get into. HOWEVER, the road getting into the campground was NOT easy to get into. You have to go down a 1/4 mile windy road, and if you have a massive 5th wheel, you have to be really careful going around blind spots. It is definitely do-able, as we saw plenty of Class A and 5th wheels come in for daily stays. The daily spots are also tough to get into with the low trees and REALLY tough if there are RV's parked next to you. Most of the spots were quite far from each other with the exception of the corner spots. The quiet campground was beautiful with tons of room to walk around, structures for the kids to play on, and lots of field to let your dogs run. There's a creek in the back that's open and you can throw rocks in the pond, see some small fish, etc. It's a nice location that is close to the highway but not too close to hear the cars. One issue was with availability of the staff. They were nice, and on more than one occasion they brought my mailed packages from the porch inside. Although they have posted office hours, they were rarely available during those hours. They also wanted after-hours check in folks to write their credit card down on a piece of paper and drop it in a box or leave it next to the door. The other issue was with the bathrooms. They were not the cleanest bathrooms we've come across. They did run out of toilet paper more than once during my month stay. I gave them an overall rating of 9 because I didn't really need the staff or use the bathroom much during my month stay, and everything else was above-standard. However, if bathrooms are vitally important to you or something goes wrong with the site, this rating could easily be much lower. I would stay here again and recommend others to do the same. I probably wouldn't stay here if it was just for one night. - RLT1

We spent a week in a tent here and it was the worst experience ever for tent camping. There were motorcycles coming in every night between 11pm-3am to setup and leave around 4-5am. Seems like they know there is no office staff here during those hours and get a free nights rest on their trip. On a couple nights there were couples in the women's bath houses that prevented my daughter from going to shower that night. When I told staff about this they claimed it has never happened in the 30 years of being there. Again, no staff on grounds at night. The bath houses were ok I guess, it had hot water to shower. They don't clean the bath houses during the week. There were cigarette butts on the floor for the week we were there. Trash was full the first night we checked in and just kept filling up while we were there. Friday night when we got back to camp though all the trash was cleaned out of the bathrooms and cigarettes cleaned up. They even put toilet paper out (we always bring our own just in case). - travelingmatt

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Park was clean, grass is cut with Dixie Chopper and no trash laying around. Park is patrolled by staff throughout day and evening. For the money per night, this park can't be beat. If you desire higher class amenities you'll have to pay lots more at high end parks. Enjoyed our time here. - Greenfrogtrike

We stayed at this campsite after having read the (recent April 2017) review. The new owners are working hard to upgrade the site, and when we stayed, were just about to open the new general store. The campsite was super peaceful, and just what we needed for 3 days peace and quiet. The owners went out of their way to try and sort out the electric supply problem we had, which turned out to be an Electric Supply company problem. We are sure that in the coming months they will get the campsite up to scratch. All sites are back in and on grass with a concrete patio. Laundry needs a bit of an upgrade. - Hilary & Tony
Apr 2017 - $30.00
We stayed at Elk Harbor Lakeside for a month. The park is under new management and officially opens at the end of May. They have a laundry room with four washers and dryers. It is $1.50 to wash and dry. They are also in the process of renovating the little store on the property so they can sell bait and snacks. The owners are great people. The park is well maintained and close to Cross Creek National Wildlife Refuge for boating and fishing. We will definitely be back. Daily rates are $30/ 30 amp and $35/50 amp. Monthly rate is $400. - Matt_Susan63801

The owner was very helpful and hospitable. The setting was rustic and peaceful. The difficulty we had we the hookups were at the back of the site, and a long way from the side hook ups of our toy hauler. Other than that, we enjoyed our over-nighter. - rhudyfam

This name is WRONG and never existed. Mama D was a PREVIOUS OWNER, but the CG was ALWAYS named Elk Harbor Lakeside RV Park. ELK HARBOR LAKESIDE RV PARK is the ONLY name it ever had! They've tried to get RV Park Reviews, Google etc. to fix it, but nobody will--why not? Even Mama D herself is no longer around! - ragtop45

Great park. Really nice owners who make you feel at home. Peaceful and quiet with great fishing in the reservoir. Large grassy lots not right on top of one another. Great place to stay long term or to have as home camp. - Jilliebean

The park is about 16 miles from Clarksville TN, they offer discounts if you select a canoe package. We did not do the canoeing though. Sites were fairly level. There are sites close to the water and ones up away from the river. We chose the sites away from the river because they seemed more level and you wouldn't have a problem with bugs. We stayed a week here all in all an OK place to stay just too far from things for me. - BRANDYC

Small, 15 spots, beautiful well laid out campground with large level sites. Lots of trees, also has walking trail across small wooden bridge to swimming area which is not located in campground. We loved our 4 day stay here and will definitely be back! Showers and restrooms were very clean, also has a washer and dryer which was nice. Electric and water only, no sewer hookups. Has an easy access dump station. - TxTwoSome

This is a small COE campground. Very well maintained. Without my GPS I would have never found it. A lot of turns on country roads. I would not recommend for large rigs with a tow vehicle. The campsites are terraced on the hill side; everyone overlooks the lake. Sites are gravel and some leveling of your rig is needed. The gate attendant was exceptionaly helpful. Bathhouse a (10). Washer and Dryer, yes. Sites right on the lake were sunny, but the ones on the hill had some shade. We stayed in 29, partial shade. I would return here when I am traveling through Tennessee. - J. Bumpus Mills Campground is located on scenic Lake Barkley in the wooded rolling hills approximately 20 miles from Clarksville, TN. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming. An abundance of wildlife can be seen including the occasional turkey or deer. The campground offers 15 sites with water and/or electric hook ups. Additional amenities include hot shower a dump station, a boat launch, a public marina. Small campground but beautiful. - TennesseeRVandCampingAdventures
