We called ahead and made reservations, so we were able to get a pull-thru for a couple of days. When we checked in, the people were friendly and someone guided us to our site and made suggestions on what to do while we were there. We got a regular site, which was pretty level, with gravel, and there was a picnic table. Apparently, from we saw, the premium sites have some grass, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Satellite and antenna TV worked well. AT&T cell service was good. They have limited Wi-Fi, which we found did not work well, even with a booster. We were able to get our phones set-up as hotspots, which worked well. The pool area looked nice, and they were opening while we were there, but we did not use it. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Part of the bourbon runs through the area, with a couple of distilleries within easy driving distance, as well as a couple of candy factories. Frankfort, Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati are within driving distance.

This RV park was wonderful. We only stayed overnight, but upon our return trip to Holland, Michigan, we will be staying a few nights. The only caution is when arriving from the North on 75, do not take the first exit as the GPS suggests or be in for a twisty road. Instead take the second exit turn right and 1.7 miles turn right again. Go up the hill to the park.

The staff was very courteous, and golf carted us to our pull-through. The restrooms contained a private toilet, shower and sink and were immaculate. Highly suggest this park if on your route. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The road in was very narrow. The park was well maintained and the staff was very nice and helpful. They golf carted us to our site and when we requested one with grass they moved us to another. The sites are very close but maneuverable. We will continue to stay here to and from family visits. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We got lucky getting a spot here. We decided to go to Rolex last minute and caught someone's cancellation. Easy to get to off highway. We were taken to our spot and they provided boards for our leveling feet since we were on a newly graveled spot. It was raining a lot that week. Roads in were fine for our 43' and toad. View was pretty. No dog park and a hum of highway noise if you were outside. There was a pool, but wasn't open yet. Would stay again. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It was 20 mins to Rolex grounds, 30 mins from Bluegrass airport and 1.5 from Churchill downs.

The rate reflects a one week stay. The park is located on a level hill, a few miles from Georgetown, with a gravel surface. All utilities worked very well and the sky is open for dish. There is a very nice pool area, witch was not open yet.
The staff was helpful in suggesting things to do in the area. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is so much to do in the surrounding area. Toyota has a plant in Georgetown that is available for tours of the 8.1 million sq ft facility, very informative. No trip here would be complete without a visit to two of the finest horse racing facilities in the country, Keeneland and Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby! We toured Buffalo Trace Distillery, which included a tasting at the end. You also need to have a mint julep and the famous Hot Brown sandwich

Entrance is a little tight as you enter through long term section. The overnight sites are roomy but a little plain - just gravel, no grass, no trees. Limited Wifi was weak. Very nice staff. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for one night. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. The roads are a mix of dirt and clay which when wet tracks on the vehicles and into RV's. Site was level and gravel based and was not wet. Water pressure was high, used a pressure reducer. High pressure is good. Roger's Cap Rd. is narrow and hilly, meeting others going the opposite direction makes thing interesting. Camped in a Motorhome. Would return if in the area. We were running late due to unpredictable weather. The staff was great! They called to check on us and offered to come back to the park to check us in. The park is clean and well organized. As others have said the mix of rock and clay in the wet weather is a little off putting, but the sites are well maintained. The road in is not really a problem, just take your time. We have stayed here before and will definitely return. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here repeatedly as we travel to and from family visits. This is the first time we have encountered anything other than top notch service. Needing propane, we waited until the office opened at 10 before leaving our site. I walked to office at 10 to request propane..still locked. Went back to MH, back to office as we were pulling out...office still locked but a campground host appeared. I asked for propane and her response was" the man who does that is sitting in his easy chair in the Montana..are you desperate?" I indicated we needed to fill up..she walked to the back of the office and entered..leaving me standing in the cold in front of locked door. ( A second lady had entered office through back..both ignored the fact that the door was locked.) After waiting several minutes my husband decided we would go elsewhere for propane. I am posting this for the benefit of the owners..I doubt that they will be happy with their hosts when reading this. I know I am disappointed! We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Narrow roads to get to the Park, which is about 3 miles off I-75, but once there, the entry is spacious. All gravel roads and sites inside Park. When we were there, it was quite dusty with vehicles coming & going. Sites 209 thru 223 were all gravel, sort of like a big gravel parking lot. Ironically, they seemed to park the big rigs in the gravel sites while the 9 new & longer sites, with grass, seemed to be assigned to little trailers. No cable service and Wi-Fi was very limited. Rest rooms were private and clean. Staff were professional and friendly. Good access to all the amenities of Georgetown and Lexington. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

As noted by the previous reviewer, the final road getting to the park is narrow and one must use caution at this point. Inside the park the roads and sites are hard packed stone and most look level. We drive a 43' MH with a tow and had no difficulty getting into the park and navigating around the park. The park hostess was very polite and friendly, taking us to our assigned site. Whispering Hills has recently added 9 long pull through sites which we were able to use. They were easy to get into and allowed for the tow to stay on. Prior to the week of our stay, they had only pull smaller rigs into that location to assure the sites were firm and could handle the bigger motorhomes. They provided plywood squares for our pods to assure the sites would not get damaged by the big rigs before the gravel had thoroughly settled. It seemed firm under our rig and the new sites have a nice grass area between sites. Most sites have a grass area between sites but there is one pull through section of the park that is gravel only. We did not use the rest room facilities or the Wifi. We got an acceptable Verizon hot spot signal on our phone and the satellite worked well in this location. Nice spot for an overnight or even a couple of days. Campground very clean and well maintained. We would stay here again. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Other than the narrow road in, it's a quick 3 miles or so from the interstate. The owners & workers here are all very friendly & helpful. My biggest complaint would be that everything is gravel, so things get dusty. They do have some new long pull thru sites, which are great for RVs towing. They're working hard to make many of the sites longer & level. The wifi is ok, but it kicks you out about every 15 min. We were there for a month, which covered 2 weekends of Halloween activities. There were a lot of kids & they seemed to have a great time. The park was close enough to the town for shopping & restaurants. It's also close to Toyota, if you'd like to take a very interesting tour. And good access if you want to take the Bourbon tours. There aren't many FHU parks in the Lexington area & I'd say this is the best of them. We had good phone service & satellite. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Toyota plant tour. Bourbon tours. We liked Buffalo Trace, which is closer, not listed on the tour but was interesting & free.

We have stayed at Whispering Hills several times in our adventures to the South East. This campground from the first time we stayed here has slowly gone down hill. The bathroom facilities are still top notch, clean and well maintained. The pool was clean and well maintained. Our site was gravel and not at all level, all the utilities on the camp site worked fine, high water pressure. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Great place for exploring the Georgetown area.
