Road leading to the park is tight. Roads and pads are gravel but well maintained. Staff were cheerful and friendly. Our site was a pull through but not long enough to stay hooked up. Sites were small with a little grass between. Our site was fairly level but some we saw required major blocking to setup. No cable tv but several OTA channels. The most disappointing was the Wi-Fi! Even early in the morning it would not work. Cellular reception on Verizon was good. Overall this is OK for an overnight but I would not plan a longer stay in the future. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I stayed in a premium site which once you got there was very nice. Nice grass between sites. Newer picniic table. Staff was very friendly. Also the location near lexington is very good. That is the good. The bad is the Campground is on a 16 foot wide county road with no shoulders and there are two blind hills you have to go over to get there and it is terrifying not nowing if someone is coming at you over the hills or not. The other problem with the park is the dust. The entrance to the park and the main road you have to travel to get to the premium section has a fine dust that if you have a rear engine diesel or god help you a side mount radiator the dust cloud behind you is so bad that it obliterates 50 feet behind you and on the sides so if you are towing a car both it and the rear of your coach are a different color (grey) by the time you park. Add to this there is a strictly enforced rule about not useing any water to hose off your car or coach. So if you can unhook at the Pilot before getting to the campground. WIFI non existant, no cable TV but as the park is new there are no trees to obstruct Satellite. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Whispering Hills for one month while we toured the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky. This is a large, well-maintained and well-run RV Park. It's not the most scenic, but is a good, comfortable place to stay while seeing the many sights in the area. The reservation process was quick and efficient. We called well in advance as we wanted to be sure we had a spot while the Keeneland Spring Meet was running. The Park called us in March and moved us to another spot from the one originally assigned, which proved to be a significant improvement. The Park is not far from I-75,but once off US 25 the road is tight. Fortunately it's only a short distance with little traffic. The turn into the park is wide. Check-in was very speedy, and we had an escort to the site. Roads within the park are hard-packed gravel, in good shape, and are easy to navigate. Note that water regulators are required here, and they do have them for sale in the office along with some other RV parts and supplies. Our site (189) was level with no boards or blocks needed. The electrical pedestal was updated and safe. We did have to add an extension for the sewer hose to reach the outlet. Sites 182-207 have a nice "backyard" with a view of a field, giving extra room for sitting and having a fire with nobody behind you. There is no cable, but we had several OTA channels from nearby Lexington. Trees behind the site blocked access to satellite for my portable dish. Our Verizon signal was strong, but Park Wi-Fi was weak. While we were there, the grass was cut routinely and there was continual maintenance on the roads. We had some heavy rains, and the site drained well. We used the laundry facilities, and they were kept spotless. Check-out was a little clumsy, as there was a new associate who had some difficulty with getting our refund for the electric deposit and was a bit uncertain about procedures. Another associate stepped-in to help, though. We would stay here again! We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a WMA just up the road for walking. Kentucky Horse park is close, as is the Old Friends Farm. Georgetown was interesting to walk through, be sure to eat at Galvins when there. And, there are stops on the Bourbon Trail not too far away. Always check to see what's happening at Keeneland. Lexington has a Class A baseball team (The Legends) with a nice ballpark.

Nicest people in the office. Very helpful. They show you to your site, help you park and explain everything you need to know. Very clean restrooms and showers. Wi-fi not good and no cable but air tv was good. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Had to make last minutes reservation and they had a pull through. Trouble is, we hung out on both ends still hooked up. We have stayed before, but there seem to be more permanent sites with all the "stuff" that goes with them. All gravel throughout. Site not very level. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed overnight, and therefore didn't make much use of the facilities. We stayed on one of the gravel sites. Rough on the knees while you are setting up. Well designed sewer and reliable electric were a plus. This is not a scenic campground, I wouldn't stay there for longer than a night. There are no trees (plus side for satellite tv, not so great for nature lovers like me), little grass, they have a pool and a pond though. Store didn't open till 10 so I not know how well outfitted it was. It was a quiet nights stay and pretty packed too. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Led to our site by golfcart and explained hookup (use of water regulator required!). Beautiful playgrounds and pavilion by a huge pond with fountain and geese. Best bathhouse ever. Super clean and has a laundry room and mutiple bathrooms with individual toilet, sink, shower in each. Only stayed one night on our way south but highly recommend if all you are looking for is a clean shower and a quiet night in a beautiful spot! We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice well maintained park. Not all of the sites are level but then again this area is hilly. Wifi is unusable. Verizon Signal was 5 bars. There is an area for the kids to play in away from most of the park. Plenty of space to walk the dog but no dog run. Very nice laundry/shower facilities. The only negative we saw was that at least once a week trash is piled on the ground by the dumpsters because they were full. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed two nights in the 'premium' section. Gravel roads and parking pads, with grass patio, and picnic table. Utilities are well laid out, making set up and take down quick and easy. Each site also has a young tree on the grass strip. Don't provide much shade now, but will in a few years. These sites are extra long with plenty of room for your rig and the tow vehicle. Plenty of maneuvering room for even the biggest of big rigs. This a good campground to use as a base for exploring the area around Georgetown. Nice playground area for the kids, very nice bathrooms with showers. Probably the best we've come across in our travels. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This is prime Kentucky horse country, so plenty of 'horsey' things to see and do. Historic downtown Georgetown is 7-8 miles away with plenty of historic buildings, antique shops and more. The first bourbon was made here using water from Royal springs. If you have time, be sure to follow the 'Bourbon Trail'.

Campers BEWARE its a great park, BUT the most of the "Back-in" sites are NOT level depending on which side of the road your on you have to fully re-tract or extend your levelers, and do the opposite for the other end of your unit. The staff at the park are very friendly, and helpful. Enough can not be said about them. But they do not have fire rings at the pull-thru sites. There is No Cable or Wifi either, at any of the sites. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A pretty good RV park in most ways, but for the price I would expect all the usual basic RV standard features, and this park lacks a basic one: Internet. They say they have slow Internet, but my experience is they have NO Internet. I would not stay there again unless they promised me that they overhauled and improved the wireless service. We only stayed 2 nights. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camped in a 35 foot fifth wheel on premier pull through site 232. Site is gravel, requires board to level, adequate room for truck, no shade. Site is an end site so has slightly larger grass patch than other premier sites. Neighbors on non awning side are close; no neighbors across lane to nice rural view. WiFi is available on site despite staff comment to the contrary, but very slow. About 20 OTA TV stations. Interior lanes are dusty gravel. Some non premier pull through sites have no grass. Laundry & shower houses are clean. Book exchange & DVD libraries. Pool was closed for season. Large pond, open pavilion, playground, paved basket ball court. Distant traffic noise & dark at night. Staff is very pleasant. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed one night and asked for a pull thru site so we did not have to unhook. Site was level and long enough for our 30' trailer and truck. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Large open area for our dog to run. Wifi was slow around dinner time, but picked up later. Other sites were larger and we would definitely return to visit the area in the future.

Fairly easy to get to from the highway, a little further than we like for an overnight stopover, but glad we stopped with lots of open areas. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
