Stayed here for one night. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. The roads are a mix of dirt and clay which when wet tracks on the vehicles and into RV's. Site was level and gravel based and was not wet. Water pressure was high, used a pressure reducer. High pressure is good. Roger's Cap Rd. is narrow and hilly, meeting others going the opposite direction makes thing interesting. Camped in a Motorhome. Would return if in the area. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were running late due to unpredictable weather. The staff was great! They called to check on us and offered to come back to the park to check us in. The park is clean and well organized. As others have said the mix of rock and clay in the wet weather is a little off putting, but the sites are well maintained. The road in is not really a problem, just take your time. We have stayed here before and will definitely return. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here repeatedly as we travel to and from family visits. This is the first time we have encountered anything other than top notch service. Needing propane, we waited until the office opened at 10 before leaving our site. I walked to office at 10 to request propane..still locked. Went back to MH, back to office as we were pulling out...office still locked but a campground host appeared. I asked for propane and her response was" the man who does that is sitting in his easy chair in the Montana..are you desperate?" I indicated we needed to fill up..she walked to the back of the office and entered..leaving me standing in the cold in front of locked door. ( A second lady had entered office through back..both ignored the fact that the door was locked.) After waiting several minutes my husband decided we would go elsewhere for propane. I am posting this for the benefit of the owners..I doubt that they will be happy with their hosts when reading this. I know I am disappointed! We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Narrow roads to get to the Park, which is about 3 miles off I-75, but once there, the entry is spacious. All gravel roads and sites inside Park. When we were there, it was quite dusty with vehicles coming & going. Sites 209 thru 223 were all gravel, sort of like a big gravel parking lot. Ironically, they seemed to park the big rigs in the gravel sites while the 9 new & longer sites, with grass, seemed to be assigned to little trailers. No cable service and Wi-Fi was very limited. Rest rooms were private and clean. Staff were professional and friendly. Good access to all the amenities of Georgetown and Lexington. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

As noted by the previous reviewer, the final road getting to the park is narrow and one must use caution at this point. Inside the park the roads and sites are hard packed stone and most look level. We drive a 43' MH with a tow and had no difficulty getting into the park and navigating around the park. The park hostess was very polite and friendly, taking us to our assigned site. Whispering Hills has recently added 9 long pull through sites which we were able to use. They were easy to get into and allowed for the tow to stay on. Prior to the week of our stay, they had only pull smaller rigs into that location to assure the sites were firm and could handle the bigger motorhomes. They provided plywood squares for our pods to assure the sites would not get damaged by the big rigs before the gravel had thoroughly settled. It seemed firm under our rig and the new sites have a nice grass area between sites. Most sites have a grass area between sites but there is one pull through section of the park that is gravel only. We did not use the rest room facilities or the Wifi. We got an acceptable Verizon hot spot signal on our phone and the satellite worked well in this location. Nice spot for an overnight or even a couple of days. Campground very clean and well maintained. We would stay here again. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Other than the narrow road in, it's a quick 3 miles or so from the interstate. The owners & workers here are all very friendly & helpful. My biggest complaint would be that everything is gravel, so things get dusty. They do have some new long pull thru sites, which are great for RVs towing. They're working hard to make many of the sites longer & level. The wifi is ok, but it kicks you out about every 15 min. We were there for a month, which covered 2 weekends of Halloween activities. There were a lot of kids & they seemed to have a great time. The park was close enough to the town for shopping & restaurants. It's also close to Toyota, if you'd like to take a very interesting tour. And good access if you want to take the Bourbon tours. There aren't many FHU parks in the Lexington area & I'd say this is the best of them. We had good phone service & satellite. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Toyota plant tour. Bourbon tours. We liked Buffalo Trace, which is closer, not listed on the tour but was interesting & free.

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful surroundings to walk which is an added bonus. Staff friendly and helped us park our rig at site. The bath house is new and kept spotless! Will look forward to another stay if we are in the area. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at Whispering Hills several times in our adventures to the South East. This campground from the first time we stayed here has slowly gone down hill. The bathroom facilities are still top notch, clean and well maintained. The pool was clean and well maintained. Our site was gravel and not at all level, all the utilities on the camp site worked fine, high water pressure. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Great place for exploring the Georgetown area.

This campground is a gravel area with sites and hookups. The WiFi is free; however, it is so slow that you can never connect. They have a pool but if you have a guest, they can't go to the pool with you. There is not a great area to walk your dogs if you are on the side with the motor coaches. Additionally, the road that brings you into the place is quite narrow. If you are desperate and need a place to stay, it's an option however we won't return. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Keeneland horse park. You can see the horses run for morning exercise and have breakfast at the trainers kitchen. Great food at a great price!

If you have ever been to NASCAR with a motorhome, that is pretty much what this park is like. Very cramped and limited sites able to handle a larger RV. Cars/trucks don't really fit inside the sites, so they are parked all over the roads. Sadly, it really has that "trailer park" feel. It's a big park, so walking dogs along the perimeter gives you a decent walk, but apparently they allow dogs to be tethered outside the campers, we were charged by 3 different dogs on tie outs that reached well into the road and then one dog was not on leash at all. Be warned! It's a clean park overall, but we wouldn't stay here again unless we had too. Good enough for an overnight stay on your way elsewhere......maybe, but if you have it in you, keep driving to something better. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wifi doesn't work so don't plan on using it. NOT ADA COMPLIANT!! They treated me with my handicap like second rate!! This place is not what it seems the place is all gravel, but not really it's actually large old broken blacktop which my children were injured on several times. We went KY for me to get surgery one reattaching my shoulder blade to my spine and let them know all about my situation. The first day in it rained and found out we're in a lake and did so for 3 weeks, leaving me stranded inside:( They promised us for 4 weeks to correct it and never did! When I confronted them they threatened to evict us, THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES!!! They are the type of people who do not accommodate the Handicap!! We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The park floods a lot! WiFi doesn't work. Roads are made of old crushed concrete, many nails and debri unkind to tires. Could not use bikes at all. Kinda dangerous!

Not ADA compliant!

All roads are gravel & dust was a problem until it rained then mud was a problem. Wifi is a joke; just about useless, showers & bath are some of the best I have ever seen, no trees for any shade. Park is very close to I75 interstate & road noise was problem at night. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The sites are not as level as they could be and because the campground is gravel, the campground is dusty. The service was great and the bathrooms and laundry room were very clean. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Quiet and lovely park. Road to entrance had some potholes to dodge due to rough winter but park roads were fine. Easy check-in with host guiding you to your site and helping with setup. They provided extra boards to put under jacks due to rain. We had a pond side site with table and fire ring. Friendly staff, good areas to walk the dogs, clean bath-house and laundry. We were attending the Rolex Three Day event and hostess set us up with a lady to walk the dogs while we were away. We look forward to returning.

Georgetown has a nice Main Street with good local restaurants. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fava's is a good place to eat.
