Pulled in on a Tuesday without reservations and stayed for 2 days. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Pull through with W/E, and use of dump station. About a mile from exit 86 on I-65. Road is narrow but well maintained. Clear signs all the way to the entrance. Interior roads are gravel, and a bit rough in places. Some turns might be tight for larger rigs, but my 28' had no problems at all. Site was dirt and gravel and quite level. Electric box was farther away than usual, but not excessive. Campground has large pond/lake and a swimming pool. Plenty of shade from mature trees. A large percentage of seasonal sites, some cluttered, but not trashy. Campground is kid friendly and there were several well behaved children about. WiFi was excellent. Cell reception on my phone was spotty. Satellite TV might be problematic at some sites. Overall, a very well kept family style Campground that we would revisit without hesitation. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

The area is part of "The Bourbon Trail". The Corvette museum is just south on I-65.

I called the park around noon and spoke to a nice woman who said to call back when we arrived around six. We were delayed a bit, but she was still pleasant and told us where we could park. The signage is very helpful in locating the park. We handled the payment over the phone, and I had to call back a couple of times to clarify things, which she didn't mind. We had a beautiful, side to side level site. Hookups were good and well maintained (no sewer, but a dump site was available). Yes, it was on a bit of an incline. Our 21 foot trailer had no problem maneuvering in the park

Bathroom/shower on the back of the office was clean though a little small.

There are long term residents on one side of the park, but the area is well maintained and doesn't give you the impression of a "trailer park".

We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Mark's Feed Store in Elizabethtown had excellent barbecue, 10 miles away. It's a nice town with plenty of shopping and restaurants.

We just overnighted but it was a pleasant and quiet park. Very friendly staff. Appeared to be mostly people who were there for the season. The site was large with full hookups. A large pool and a fishing lake. By 9 PM it was totally quiet. There was a huge area for walking the dogs and it was very clean. We will probably use this campground many times again as we will often travel through Elizabethtown Ky. Highly recommend it. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

We had a great time staying here. Very friendly staff and so were the residents. Lots of kids for mine to play with. Everything was clean. They happened to have a pig roast the weekend we stayed and it was a big event where everyone attended and the food was delicious. We loved the kid friendly environment and even stayed an additional night. The price is great! We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

Many seasonal sites. Nice small pool and a fishing pond. Large sites, cheap firewood ($10 for 24 very large pieces). Sites are side to side level which is very hard to find most of the time. Very friendly staff but hardly ever in the office. Had a pig roast the day of arrival and we were invited for $5 each. They said everyone should bring a dish but since we were just getting there, not to worry about it. A little noisy the first night with the seasonals as is usually the case at most campgrounds that have seasonal sites. Movie playing loud till after 11:30. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A wooded campground on the south end of Elizabethtown. The roads and sites are covered in large chunk gravel. This campground is not made for rigs over 36'. We had trouble with our 38' MH, getting it situated just right. Sites are close together, and unlevel side to side and front to back. Wi-Fi unusable. Cable is very good. Water is a spigot hookup, sewer level with the ground. Roads getting around are narrow and winding through trees. There is an escort to the site, (just make sure you don't lose them). Check in 2pm, check out 1pm. Early checking and late checkout incurs fees. Long termers are a strange lot. I wouldn't use the term friendly, more like nosy. There is no literature given out, so no rules. Lots of kids running about during the day, and lots of dog barking and off leash. For me, not a safe feeling place to be. We paid for 2, stayed for one...and that was too long. The best part, is that it is convenient to a Pilot station that some of the cheapest gas in "Etown" and "the ville". Can be a tight fit though. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground for a short-term stay, but the seasonal sites look close together. Great cable TV and great Wi-Fi. Laundry is dated and is also used as a storage room. Bathrooms are clean but also a bit dated. Lovely lake with free fishing and a nice pool. Very friendly, helpful owners. I bet this place is really busy in the summer, but in November it was nice and peaceful. If you're coming from the north though, be advised that Puckett Road is a gravel road. We missed it, thinking it was a driveway. We took the next paved left and then left on Sportsman Lake Road. You can also turn left on 1st Union Road (paved road before Puckett Road) then right on Sportsman Lake Road. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

It is one of the nicest campgrounds we've seen. There were very nice and helpful owners. We arrived quite late, but they waited for us and even guided us to our campsite in their golf cart and made sure we were settled in. It has a beautiful small lake and grounds. Very nice pool, although we didn't get to swim. It is pet friendly (we have 3 schnauzers). We would stay again if the opportunity arises. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed 2 nights in a full service site between a couple regulars. We arrived after the office closed. The owner left a map and had someone lead us to our site. The cable TV was a nice treat. There was a playground and a fishing pond. The sites (electric only) on the hill had more room between them. This is a convenient location just off I-65. Good for over nigh or maybe longer if with children. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Clean but well-worn in need of a face lift. Easy access to I-65 and many amenities including a nice pond for fishing. Site was level but tight, both for getting in and close to the next site. Good for an overnight or two but I wouldn't plan a long stay. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

Park management lives on site. There are quite a few full time residents there. The use of four wheelers and golf cars seems at time to be out of control. They are in the process of updating some the wiring at the sites. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

They have cable in name only -- the picture and sound quality are not adequate for actually watching a broadcast. This is an OK campground, but pretty basic and rustic, sites are crammed very close together, and the very narrow sites are covered with huge stones. The laundry room was disgusting. We wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

Price is CampclubUSA discount. Easy off, easy on from I-65. Has a nice fishing lake. (You can keep the fish). There is a playground, a pool, picnic tables and some trees. This is a no frills CG and a good overnighter. We stayed here two nights, mostly to tour the Bourbon Trail that is not far away. The office is not equipped with much and has no brochures for activities nearby. Some seasonal trailers occupy some of the sites. A very quiet, peaceful CG. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay at this campground. It is family owned and the owners are always working around the property to keep it nice and clean. The sites are close together and are gravel, but the area is well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. The owners were great. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
