Great for an overnight stop. Longer than that....Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Nice folks. Camp was Easy to get in and out. This is mostly a long term or seasonal Campground. Lots of full time long term set ups at the back and sides. People were friendly enough. You are camped next to an insurance auto auction. One thing we found was that their rules were rather unique. We suggest you read and heed them. You just never know. Ex: If Lady Luck frowns on you and you end up incarcerated, you will already know that your visit at The Duck is terminated. Tips for a peaceful stay: Keep that shirt on and quit honking your horn. Leave the critters in the pond alone. Muskrats (are not the lovers the Captain & Tanille sang off) they will bite - KodiTzu

We have stayed here in the past and this will be my last. The senior Lady who checked me in put me in a site to short so I had to go back to office to be reassigned a new site. I had to wait 15 minutes while she called for help. The laundry room was disgusting with dead bugs on window sills and overflowing garbage. The site was muddy and dog poo was all over thanks to the shepherd next to me. I mentioned it to a employee who commented dogs will be dogs. The park has new owners the last few years and it shows. - Seamstress
Nov 2017 - $34.00
The park sits along side a very busy 4 lane road with big trucks going all day and night. The park shares a road with a auto salvage business. The park is mostly long term with sites for over night people. The biggest complaint I had was unruly children running all over. I watched 3 small girls playing around rigs after dark and no parents in sight. I tried using the restrooms but they were dirty. I left and went to another park in town and was satisfied that I left. - Solorver97
Sep 2017 - $35.00
Just an overnight, but we might as well have been in any parking lot. The man who checked us in was very brusque, gave us no paperwork or any information. Back row site was very close. - lateblumer
Sep 2017 - $34.00
We stayed here for an over night while traveling. Got the last pull thru with 50 amps as facility was full for the quilting event. Very friendly and helpful staff. The overnight sites are extremely close and we could not open an awning but was OK for our one night needs. - Chazmo
Aug 2017 - $38.00
We were there as part of a rally for the Eclipse. By E-day, the place was packed, but there was still enough room for everybody. The property is very well managed and clean. Every A/C unit that was there was running, but there was only one blink and that was corrected fast. The WiFi was effective, and there are two separate systems. I can't tell you about TV. We were there for 4 quiet nights. Check the rates, they have a wide scale. If we go back to Padudcah, this would be a first choice. - Matt_C
Aug 2017 - $45.00
Nice clean, well kept, no frills RV park. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We stayed during the eclipse so the park was full. Only complaint was low voltage at the pedestal which often was below 110 volts and created some problems for our satellite receiver. It was very hot (90+), so this may not have been a problem with the parks electrical system. We had a corner site which did have one small willow tree that offered a little bit of shade in the morning. - Daryn
Aug 2017 - $45.00
We stayed at this park to view the total solar eclipse. They were totally booked, which probably explains the rate given. The staff were excellent hosts for the event, even cooking a lunch available for a small cost. Note that access from the major highways and travelling to town involve two lane country roads. The park is totally out in the country and surrounded by soybean fields. Also note that the park is near an auto race track & drag strip. It was somewhat noisy on Saturday night during the races, but it quieted down quickly a little after 10 pm. - one_strange_texan
Jun 2017 - $27.00
Pretty low-key out of the way campground. Not much to do in area, but this was just an overnight stop for us. Roads from interstate were good, but a little tight. Nice owners. - Eagles Fan
Aug 2017 - $20.00
This is another beautiful Illinois state park. We got in past dark and had to leave early the next day so didn't get to explore but wouldn't hesitate to stop there again. No water or sewer at sites so we used the bath house. The water in the ladies' side never got past lukewarm, and you had to keep hitting the water button to keep it running. If you're used to taking a Navy shower, that's ok, I guess. But that's my only complaint. We would like to visit again when we have more time. - vlunceford
Aug 2017 - $25.00
Stayed at Fort Massac SP on our way to Nashville from St. Louis. We arrived well after dark around 11PM on a Friday. Missed the turn into the campground because the sign was far off to the left outside of your headlight view in the dark. The site #'s themselves are also very hard to see, and also because the reservation card put up by the host completely covers the # on the post! My co-pilot had to get out with a flashlight and direct me to the site. Once there, it was plenty nice. Level site, clean, quiet. The next morning the host checked in on us to make sure we were who we said we are, and he was very helpful with info about coming back the following Monday for the eclipse. We bugged out early on Sat so never got to explore the park at all, but it seems really neat and we hope to go back soon and experience it all. - VW_Vista
Aug 2017 - $20.00
Have been coming here for over 20 years and it is a nice park but if the state would spend some money to put in a new bathroom or at least update the one that has not changed for all the years we have been coming here it would get a higher rating. At least this time the lock on the men's restroom was fixed. - glbaker44
Oct 2017 - $55.00
Typical KOA too small with tight spaces. - Mayonurse
Jul 2017 - $40.00
The owners of this KOA are some of the nicest people we've met on our journeys. They are so friendly and treat everyone like lifelong friends. The campground is quiet and clean and just all around beautiful. There was a bronze trophy in the general store that was given to the owners for 40 years of service for KOA. That was given to them 3 years ago. These wonderful people have been doing this for a super long time and you can tell they still love it. That's impressive. - Slingshotrentals
Nov 2016 - $35.00
Older KOA that is currently "For Sale". Needs a little work. Very nice couple running the office, very friendly and helpful. Sites are very close together, and park is a little confusing to navigate without a guide. (Not sure what was a road, and what was a "site".) Getting in our spot was a little difficult as we had to dodge trees and bushes. Tree branches at the entrance could use a trim, as well as some of the interior tree branches. Roads were mostly crushed rock/stone, and we "barely" fit. Site was pretty level and utilities were easy to get to. Did not use any of the facilities as we were self contained. Close to the main interstate, but far enough away that you couldn't hear road noise. Only stayed one night (just passing through). - usamacdonald2
Aug 2015 - $24.00
Great place on the Ohio river our site had 50amp we had to have the front of the RV to the river which was good as the door and and windows opened on to a large area with good views of the river.
we arrived late but the owners came out and helped get the RV on the site, this is a very nice place on the river with good fishing for Carp and Catfish.
It was incredibly peaceful here with only the noise of the water, the passing barges and the coyotes in the nearby woods.
we will come back next time we come this way. - Hilary & Tony
Sep 2011 - $20.00
Nice park with riverfront sites on the Ohio River. We stayed for 1 week. We enjoyed watching the tugs and barges going up and down the river. We had nice weather, but it seemed quite breezy most times. Our site was under a security light so very bright at night. Try to avoid a site under the 2 or 3 lights. Riverfront utilities are side by side connections so you will have a close neighbor. - User2260
Jul 2011 - $23.00
Had a campsite right on the Ohio River which was kind of cool. We watched the barges go by. That is the good. Fair amount of seasonals that pretty much keep to themselves. This place floods about every Spring and this year was worse than normal. They were still recovering. Very sandy sites. Bathhouse was so far away most campers either didn't use it (us) or drove up to it. Not close to anything. Paducah is 30 minutes away and a cool place to be on a Sat. night. Probably wouldn't stay here again but if want to just hang around a campsite and watch the barges or maybe do some fishing, this would be just fine. Quiet. - welch
May 2017 - $27.00
Wonderful area to stop for a day or two if traveling. My wife and I were in town for a wedding so we weren't really at the park for long periods of time however when we were there everyone was very nice and willing to help if I had any issues. I would say 3/4 of the park are permanent residents and the only visitor sides would be spots 21-28 I believe they are all pull through gravel sites but all are very level. Anyhow, close to Kentucky Damn Lake, restaurants, interstates and full hook ups. Sites are a little narrow but wide enough to put slides out. We would return again if passing through for a break. - Dream Coach
Oct 2015 - $26.00
We stayed here for two nights on our way to Nashville. The RV Park has about 1/3 seasonal sites, 1/3 long term and about 1/3 for overnighters. the Park is clean and neat. Wi-Fi only works in the main office or laundry room. Staff were very helpful in what to see and do in the area. Would stay here again if passing through this area. - JD1040
Mar 2014 - $25.00
We stopped here just for the night. Rate is cash. If you use plastic, it's a dollar or two more. Our pull through site was nice & level. Nice lake to walk the dog around. Staff was friendly. Although we were just off the interstate, highway noises were not a problem. Easy on & off highway. Don't think I would use this as a destination campground but would definitely stay here again when passing through. Lots of full timers. - bgw5350
Sep 2017 - $25.00
Nice, family run and built campground. Only a couple of years old. Hosted by the owner's father, with whom we enjoyed chatting. Easy access from highway. All roads are gravel but we had no issues navigating pulling our 35' 5th wheel. Pull through sites were fairly level. Bathrooms were better than average - very clean. Only downside was no sewer connections (dump station). - Motorcyclekelly
Apr 2013 - $23.00
Showers and restrooms were not open, which was not disclosed to us when we checked in. Had to try multiple sites before finding one with both working water and electric. Site was nice and level. They were very nice folks and when we asked about check-out time pretty much said whenever as there was no one there. - Gail K
Aug 2017 - $23.00
Very quiet. Very restful. Nice place to camp close to city and shopping, great place to fish. - Johnjean
Jun 2017 - $23.00
This is a very large and spacious campground conveniently located by Kentucky Dam Village. Restrooms are average and a little run down, but adequate. Spaces are large and some are shaded. Hookups are very far from the sites but the campground is very relaxed about putting your camper where you need to in order to hook up. If you are a bird watcher, there is great variety here. It's a quiet, peaceful place to relax. - JMills
Jul 2016 - $20.00
This is a older campground that hasn't kept up with changing trends in RVing. Electric and Water hookups were a stretch to get to. We backed up almost to the end of the pad so the electric would connect. Electric held 30 amp service.
Before I go on, we stayed on a holiday weekend and the place was overrun. My guess is that under normal non-holiday times the park is large and roomy.
With the crowd, I have to give the staff a pass on the cleanliness of the bathhouses.
They are still old and in need of refurbishment.
Just driving in and out of the park was challenging with bikes and all golf carts.
Not for us. Won't be back. - Melbroo
