Mar 2012 - $30.00
Beautiful campground back in the Kentucky hills. Caters to the climbers coming to the area to climb. We stayed here just one night. The RV sites are pull through but tricky to get in/out off. Bathrooms/showers were good. Make sure you walk around the lake. Chatted quite a bit with host, a very nice person. - The GeoDrop
Oct 2010 - $18.00
We stayed at Lago Linda's for about 5 weeks while rock climbing at the Red River Gorge. The owner (Linda Black) gave us a discount rate for our extended stay. This really isn't much of an RV park, but it can accommodate small trailers and class C. The access road is essentially a driveway and the campsites are tight. We stayed here in a 34' 5th wheel and just were able to get into the site. The site was definitely long enough. The dump station is only accessible using a portable holding tank. It is a beautiful location, but does need some maintenance. The bathrooms and showers didn't get cleaned on the weekend. This does seem a bit odd as it is the busiest time. I think there was to be someone cleaning, but I don't think it got done. There is a weekday housekeeper who does an excellent job. This park is primarily used by rock climbers who are in the area to climb and it is very busy on the weekends. I hiked a couple of the trails with our dogs and had to do a bit of bush whacking because they hadn't been cleared since last winter. The Wi-Fi was down for much of our stay here. For weekenders this may not be much of an issue, but since we stayed long term, it was very frustrating. Lago Linda Hideaway also rents cabins and has plenty of tent camping space. We would probably stay here again but mostly because the choices in the area are limited. - peg513
Jun 2009 - $25.00
The campground is about 30 minutes south of the Natural Bridge SP, down narrow winding roads. Sites are small and dotted with trees. There isn't a view from the campground, although the website states it is nestled on a ridge. Trails were overrun, so we couldn't use them. We couldn't find the canoe, and the paddle boat was filled with stagnant water so we couldn't use those as offered, either. There is a very small bathroom with two bath stalls and one shower. Clean, but dated. No store or playground. Wi-fi worked intermittantly. Nearest town for food was Beattyville, about 20 minutes away. A stray dog and cat kept close to our site begging for food; a little concerning with children. We would not stay here again, but instead, would choose the campground at the SP. - bbcaao

Sites are not too crowded. Roads and sites are gravel but, we believe that is because it's very new. They made the gravel on each site wide so you are never in the mud. Nice pool, nice owners, and nice fishing pond. All sites are full hookup! We stayed there during the week and it was extremely quiet in the evening and not noisy during the day either. We would highly recommend this campground. - Hillsboro Camper
Jun 2017 - $35.00
This park is fairly new and still being improved. It is in a good location just off the Kentucky Mountain Parkway KY15. It has gravel sites with fire rings and picnic tables. There is a nice pool and private shower/restrooms. Lots of grass around to walk my dog. There is great WiFi; no cable but good DTV satellite and antenna coverage. There is a pond that looks good for fishing. - Slkeyes
Jul 2016 - $20.00
4 Guys is a work in progress - still under development. The owners are working away on it, dumping gravel into new sites as I pulled out. They were very congenial and obviously excited about the project. They started by building a beautiful pool (photo at their website) and bath house (one of those with one-room units containing all the facilities). I hope another bath house will be coming for sites at the lower end. It's a project worth supporting and I'm sure by next season it will be much more complete. My stay here was just fine. I stayed here in a van. - pompomgirl

Oct 2008 - $24.00
The campground was difficult to get into with a tight turn, steep drop and narrow bridge. We were unable to enter or leave the campground without blocking under the rear wheels of the motorhome (2002 34' Georgie Boy - Ford Chassis) to keep from dragging the rear. There is only one site that has 50 amp service, the rest are 15 amp. The campground is not maintained as shown in the pictures on the web site and the angles hide the commercial cable company that seems to be located in the campground with their work trucks and equipment. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will not stay here again. - P12

Jan 2009 - $40.00
I would have rated it a 9.5 but that option wasn't offered. Only stayed in one other campground that was nicer and that was many years ago. This was my first stay, I stayed at Daniel Boone and hunted in the forest across the road. I got 2 nice Deer, a Doe and a Buck with my bow. We also went on a 20 mile ATV ride out the S-Tree trail to a place called Turkey Foot. It was amazing just spending time at a slower pace. They are in the middle of building rental cabins now. They do offer deeded lots for interested parties but the price was very fair. - John Hosprey

May 2017 - $35.00
Coming to this park is more about the natural surroundings than the park amenities. Fees have been rising quickly due to high demand, but there is no evidence that those fees are being used to improve anything in the campgrounds. Restrooms are kept fairly clean but are old. Really old and tired. The dump station is a weird configuration that requires you to stop facing the wrong way on the entry road. Be careful if you are leaving on a Friday. If you like hiking or rock climbing this is a great area, and this park is close to most of it.
Site had a street light shining into it. Ugh. - JessJosh61
May 2017 - $33.00
2nd time back. B12 this time to try to get on a side where the hookups where. WeLL the water was but the power was 60' away. We didn't have an extension so used a 110v adapter and extension cord. Most all sites have no room for tow vehicle, must park along the road in the grass. Nice place though. We came in with the creek very high and camped beside it. Would have to be a bad one to have to worry with flooding. Stream made sleeping peaceful. Bathroom and shower was clean. Needs better exhaust fan. Plenty to see and do around Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. Now has free wi-fi and worked pretty well. - Deaton
Aug 2016 - $25.00
Campground is located in a narrow valley with a small stream passing through it. There are signs warning of the possibility of flash floods. We chose a site away from the creek because of that. All sites are fairly level gravel surfaced. The center of the campground has pull through sites but they aren't real large. Our truck and trailer combination would be sticking out both ends if I didn't unhook. We chose a backin site that was very spacious. We had a large grass lawn with picnic table. utility posts were located on a site next to us. I used 35 feet of hose to reach the water. My electric cord was fully extended also. Any longer and I would have needed my extension.
The park is very neat and clean. The attendant was very helpful. - petendoll

May 2016 - $30.00
The campground is small and tight so if you have a large rig it can be a challenge to squeeze it in. But, the park is situated in a beautiful mountain setting next to The Natural Bridge and minutes from the Red River Gorge. The Gorge is ranked as the number one or number two rock climbing place in the world. So, for rock climbers, this is the place. Great staff, fantastic Park Rangers and dont forget to visit the Lodge for great dining and Maguels Pizza Climb shop. - Jeffyork40
Apr 2016 - $22.00
This was the more rustic of the two campgrounds at this state park, which is why we chose it. There were two other travel trailers here when we arrived, and some tent campers near the entrance. We chose one of the sites toward the back for its solitude. There's a stream that meanders through the campground providing nice white noise during the night. There is also a hiking trail at the end of the campground that we wish we had more time to explore. The one lane road through the campground makes backing into the sites a bit of a challenge, but once you're set up it's totally worth it. - Marsha D
Oct 2013 - $27.00
We stayed for 2 nights. The bathrooms were old, but not overly bad. The campground is small and outdated but a good location for hiking and rock climbing in the area. If you have more than a 25'-27' you are in for a tight fit backing in. It is one lane in and out and one side of the road dips in. We had a 21' and it was tight turning in, but could be done with patience. Sewer dump work, but across small bridge at a weird angle coming out. We did a U-turn and went across bridge to the dump easily. Even with all the small negatives it was peaceful and we would stay again. - kycamper02

This little known secret is in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky near Slade. They do not take reservations, so 1st come 1st served here. Great place to have the comfort of your camper bed, but be away from it all. Recommend the double sites for anything large than 20' camper. Hosts extremely helpful. No store, but host has ice and firewood for sale. - makinmemories

Nov 2017 - $36.00
This is a nice RV park, as with most some spaces are better than others. Road and angle of spaces can be little tight for big rigs, it took me a while to get my 5th wheel backed in. Positives, they have nice pool on site, playground, putt putt course (not greatest but still fun for kids). Nice camp store with most of your camping essentials. They have activities on frequent basis, when we were there they had a Thanksgiving potluck, they provided the meat. Very good meal. Negatives - Sites can be a little tight, our site dropped off in the back, hard to get jacks set. Water was about 40 ft away on opposite side of my hookup, so I had to run my hose through my patio area. - Paul and Linda
Sep 2017 - $30.00
This is a very pretty, pleasant campground, with much shade and comfortable space between sites. We had looked at the map and selected a site (153) on a corner, with ample space on both sides. We arrived on a Saturday, and the park was absolutely crammed with campers, with many children and some adults roaming all the roads on bicycles. It was an intense family scene. Most of the sites had multiple vehicles in addition to the camper, filling the spaces between sites. At least half the sites had campfires going, on a very hot day(!), filling the campground with thick smoke. We had to seal ourselves up in our motorhome in order to breathe. The one good thing was that the campers were reasonably quiet, with no loud music whatsoever. Sunday morning, they started pulling out, leaving absolutely no trash behind, and the place was mostly empty and clean by 2 p.m. If you want a peaceful, relatively smoke-free experience, come here Sunday through Thursday. Staff was pleasant and helpful. - pompomgirl

Park is located south of Lexington, KY. We stayed twice within a month while a family member recovered from an surgery in a Lexington hospital. Campground store is open until 10 PM each night. When traveling to and from the hospital, open til 10 PM was a nice convenience. Our locations were peaceful which allowed family members to sleep during the day hours. - Ky Farmer

Called ahead to see if they would have any pull thrus available while traveling on I-75, the lady on the phone was very pleasant. Exit 76 on I - 75. WSE 30 amp (they have 50 amp) gravel site with picnic table. Nice bathrooms. When we checked in the lady in the office was very pleasant. $28 per night. Plenty of fuel stations right at exit. Easy off and on to I -75. Would definitely stay here again. - gmajs

We stopped for only one night on way to Florida and the park served the purpose well. Well stocked store even had bleach so we could sanitize FW system. Store and hardware next to it were very clean. The clerk was also very helpful and arranged for sites side-by-side. Roads were dirt but easy to navigate. Propane was available. - dalenoel
Oct 2017 - $26.00
Making reservation the person started carrying on a conversation with someone else without putting me on hold. We were parked under a bunch of acorn trees. No way to get satellite. Acorns fell on the motor home constantly making loud popping noise. Site was not level and roads were very rough. Didn't use their bathrooms, however they were clean. NO handsoap in either bathroom. Lots of full timers, most were pretty clean. Location was good. Minimal road noise or park noise. - Marcee

Adequate for a stop over or a couple of nights in Berea. Not fancy, pretty worn down, but well mowed. Lots of seasonal/full time renters on the perimeter, with short term sites in the center. There are a few really long pull-thrus where you won't need to unhook your tow. Management is super friendly and lives on property. The office and camp store buildings appear to be closed up, so call ahead and the owner will meet you in a golf cart to lead you to a site. Cash only. - Flying Mantis
Oct 2017 - $25.00
I'll echo what the last couple of reviews said. Water and ele. only with dump station, flat, fairly quiet, good acess. Was told restrooms/showers were being redone. Did not see any work happiness while here. Many long term residents, but not a bother. - waxhands
Aug 2016 - $25.00
We spent 3 nights here exploring the great town of Berea. Not the best park but it was quiet. No sewer & dump station does not have water. No wifi. Worker met us and directed us to our spot. Pull thru sites. Only water & electric. Full hooks with sewer were all full with what appears to be full time residents. Same rate with or without sewer. Not sure we'd stay here again. Looks rough all around. Needs a good grooming. We stayed in a motorhome. - Lazyp123
