Bathrooms were warm and clean. Great on a cold, rainy night to get a hot shower. When we pulled in, it was already dark. Found our site clearly marked on a map, but then the KOA host showed up in a pickup truck and drove us to our spot anyway. Helpful! We were only there for a night, but when we got up in the morning we thought it could be a spot we'd stay in longer. Our daughter wanted to play on all the kid stuff (jumping pillow!). Couldn't figure out the cable, but we were using our camper for the first time, so I'm thinking that was us, not the cable. Only negative for us was that the site was a bit muddy, but it had been raining. Again, probably not on them. Only other drawback for us was that we didn't think it was fair to charge extra for a third person (our daughter). Felt like a bit much. - Kim KB

Overall very nice facility. This is a "Holiday" KOA. Sites were fairly spacious and well maintained (ours was large gravel/rock with good coverage so minimal tracking into RV). We had a deluxe concrete patio with nice bench and table/chairs. The bathhouse was nice and kept very clean. The office store was well stocked. The Staff was great and very helpful. - Steven Webb
Oct 2017 - $42.00
What a weird shower setup. The water from the shower runs into the changing room and beyond. Difficult to get dressed after a shower when the floor is wet and even muddy. The person that designed the shower should hang their head in shame. Decent sized lots. Ours was fairly level but still needed levelers on one side. In theory they have WiFi but was mostly unusable. A small amount of freeway traffic noise but not too bad. There are picnic tables and fire rings but no park model grills. - Banjonut

Jul 2017 - $50.00
What an awful place. Then again, this isn't a campground; it's basically a few spots in a parking lot that have hookups on the side for RVs. How they get away charging so much is beyond me. I guess most of the folks who use the sites particulate in events at the expo center, arena or the amusement park next door (which shares an entrance gate). The design of the hookups is atrocious as the water was on one side, the electric was about 50 feet away on the other side and the sewer was in the middle. The sewer was also encased with a metal plate - we needed a screw driver to pry it open. We had to park at a really strange angle to get everything hooked up - it will be a real nightmare hitching back up due to the angle we're at. There is only an attendant on duty who didn't seem to know much of anything except how to run the credit card. The office he worked in was a 6x6 box with no windows and filthy (like a mechanic's office). The adjacent rest rooms and showers were no better. This is also right behind Kentucky Kingdom amusement park so it was very noisy with music blaring. Also in the landing path for the airport, so constant planes flying overhead. We only came here because due to a huge hot rod rally in town next week, everything else was booked up. We could only stay 2 nights anyway, as this area will be cleared and we'll need to move to their dry camping area, where all the hot rodders will be. - cherylbrv
Jun 2015 - $50.00
Used this park because of it's location in the Louisville area. It's really not an RV park. It is a large parking lot with hookups. Most don't have sewer but a few do. There are no amenities, only hookups. The parking lot is used as the midway during the state fair in August. Other times it's available for camping. Most campers are there for some kind of a function on the fair grounds. Would probably be a good location for the Derby. - vidcity
Feb 2015 - $50.00
Been going there for the last ten years to work shows at the fairgrounds. The facilities are always filthy with little or no maintenance. This year was the worst. There was no, repeat no, water anywhere in the RV park at the Kentucky Exposition Center?'s RV park with which to re-fill our fresh water tank in the RV. Not only that, but the shower/restrooms at the RV park were such filthy swill holes that just stepping into them made me think I needed to burn the shoes I was wearing before stepping foot back into our RV. No way would I use the facilities. Therefore we were unable to shower for four days. Only able to wipe down with a damp paper towel to freshen up. We got a tad ripe in those four days. To add insult to injury RV parking at the Expo Center costs $50.00 a night!! To further cause aggravation for RV owners trying to stay there when the Expo Center's crews cleared the RV parking lot of snow they pushed the cold, white stuff into mountains over most all of the RV parking spots. I would add that the pork producers, the fish frying folks and the chicken frying folks, all of whom work in the sheds located in the RV lot, had no water either. This meant that they had no way to wash up after using the filthy restrooms and no way to wash pots and pans or grills they were using. I'd be surprised if none of the food patrons at the Expo Center didn't get deathly ill after eating there this last weekend. - Jim C.

Park is right across the street from Church Hill Downs. Kind of tight for a 40' 5'er but fit-had to back in from the street though. Not a bad neighborhood. We stayed there almost 2 weeks for the fair. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Was quiet at night. Would stay there again. - reviewer3
Nov 2006 - $25.00
We didn't actually stay here, but we pulled in and looked around. Posting this review since I've seen others ask about it. Trackside is directly behind Churchill Downs, and the lady we spoke to on the phone was quite friendly. Those are the good things. On the other hand, it was basically someone's backyard with some older hookups, in what appeared to be a somewhat sketchy area. It was fenced in, though. The handle on our water hookup was broken, and the sewer hookup was under a broken piece of cinderblock. We decided to leave, but it might be okay for a couple days if you're looking for the closest possible park to Churchill Downs. It was tough backing our 31' in from the street, and around the back of the garage. - NH Camper

Jul 2017 - $35.00
Warning. We live in our RV and have traveled all around the US. I don't know how the term RV Park got included in the description of this place. IT IS NOT AN RV PARK! It's a run down mobile home park with one or two places to park an RV. Many of the mobile homes are literally falling down and one of them was being hulled off while we were here. I didn't see a shower/restroom or a garbage station anywhere. We got trapped in a storm and had to pull off at this place. Never again. - Steve Haynes
May 2017 - $40.00
The website explains very clearly that most of the park is for mobile homes, and they're removing older units bit by bit to develop more RV sites. It also explains about the train, which we did not mind at all when it went by once or twice (We're seniors so we wake up anyway!). The site we were on was very long and spacious. The location was fabulous -- close to Louisville and close to Bardstown. The on-site manager was helpful; the owner's were both very accommodating on the phone before and after our stay. - pbnana4
May 2017 - $80.00
This is a Trailer Park NOT RV Park . We were in site 32 and there were RV trailers on both sides of us BUT they were permanently hooked up . Junk around and large propane tanks freestanding able to fall if touched. If I had reviewed this place on this site , we would never had stayed one night ! The trailer park is on the final approach of the major airport , landing every ten minutes ,one hundred yards away from train tracks , train every 3 hours. It was a dump, they are close to the race track and that the only reason we went there ..... Never again. - Chuck Petro

Access is easy, but within the park roads are narrow and turns are tight. Still, we got in and out with our 42-foot rig. The sites are closer together than we like. With slides extended on our unit and that one next to us there were about two feet between us. The store is very well stocked with a wide variety of items, especially drinks. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Gasoline, diesel, and LP available in the park.
Access to downtown Louisville from the park is less than 10 minutes via a non-toll bridge on U.S. 31. - SkyPilot49
Nov 2017 - $15.00
Be aware that you BETTER know how to drive your RV before committing to stay here. Very tight fit. If you have short-term business in the Louisville area or just passing through, you can get away with staying here. They are open 7am-10pm, so late arrivals & early check-outs are ok. Very close to the Louisville area. Otherwise, get ready for a heavy dose of planes, trains, and trucks. EVERY night, there was a noisy train. When the train wasn't running or tooting it's horn, there was a steady diet of planes flying overhead. Spaces are incredibly tight, so if you're here for a long time and your neighbor ties their barking dogs outside their RV at 7am or decides to run their diesel truck for 30 minutes in the morning, there's nothing you can do. At one point, a neighbor's awning was touching my RV. If you have dogs, there's nowhere for you to walk them-contrary to the pictures on their website. While most staff was INCREDIBLY nice & helpful, their kindness was negated by one rude individual whom I believe was the manager. For example, one night my power meter for my electric went out, and one of their nice staff members quickly swapped out the box. However, not only did the box lack a cover over the connection to protect it from rain, but this rude staff member knocked on my RV the following afternoon and told me to immediately shut off my power so the electric box could be worked on. When I said that I couldn't do it right now because I was billing a client on my computer, this individual YELLED at me saying that it was an inconvenience to come back in an hour on my schedule. Looking back, there were some good things about the park. Clean bathrooms, a small convenience store that was open long hours, plenty of propane, lots of friendly staff members, cheap laundry, & water connections that are well set-up for winter. Unfortunately, the few bad things FAR-outweighed the good things. Don't stay here for long periods. - RLT1
Nov 2017 - $45.00
It's a tight, packed park. But....very close to downtown Louisville. Looks like lots of full time residents here. I had help getting in. They have picnic tables but there really isn't a lot of room for them. It's level and paved. Only down side are the many trains that pass by,especially very early in the morning. Good, well stocked store that's a convenience store in the neighborhood. - LEB2

This is not a campground. It at best is an unattended parking lot. The location is in a very shady part of town. You have to pull a large RV through the hood to get to this place. The place is unattended and messages left on their phone were not returned. IMHO, this place should not be listed as a campground. We left because we did not feel safe in this area of town. Maybe it is different on weekends when the flea market is operating but then all you migh have is electricity. I did not see any other facilities. - Ras2
Oct 2016 - $25.00
A most unusual experience. I knew from researching Louisville, that there weren't a lot of top notch locations in which to stay. We picked this Derby Park, site of a large flea market on the weekends, and we made the mistake of arriving during the flea market. The supervisor came in his car and guided us into a large grass and dirt parking lot with electrical boxes on the fences. It is used mainly as a camping spot for RVs during the Kentucky Derby. We plugged in along the fence but then noticed that this was also the parking area for the Haunted House attraction that night. The manager, who really went out of his way to help us in every area, and is to be commended, suggested that we move our rig down to the other side after the flea market closed and we would be away from the Haunted House. We did that, but were surprised in the morning to have our RV surrounded by cars, and a farmer selling chickens and live roosters to a multitude of people. This park is located in a very seedy area, but amazingly we experienced no problems. As nice as the manager was, we will never be back. There were no other RVs that even tried to stay here. Electric only. I heard there was a dump station but with so many cars there, we left. - elduque

This is just a parking lot of a somewhat shabby fleamarket. We camped here as it was close to Churchill Downs and the Louisville Slugger Museum and there are few options nearby. There were electric hookups, no water. Bathrooms were old and not very clean. Area is dicey- they do have locked gates and security staff drove through every hour. We had no problems. An OK place to stay for the night if you want to be close to things in Louisville- just not really a campground. - johnsonj
Nov 2012 - $25.00
Convenient parking to Louisville and Churchill Downs. You are in the parking lot of a large flea market that based in old warehouses. Neighborhood is a little dicey with many strip joints along the road. People working there are very friendly and helpful. Rate was for a 30 amp hookup in the off season. No water available at our site due to freezing temps. Rate for derby week is $650 for the week. They were completing wiring for 50 amp while we were there. - glenthompson

Nastiest manager you'll ever meet. Trash everywhere. Dangerously exposed wires and sharp rusty pipes coming out of the ground in play areas that said manager refuses to remove. Floods every time it rains. Mud and dead grass everywhere. All concrete pads are crumbling. It is a stone's throw from 2 interstates which are VERY LOUD. Water is off more than it is on sometimes. The office is closed more than it is open and did I say the nastiest manager you'll ever meet? Go somewhere else. - HoosierRV
Dec 2015 - $48.00
This is a mobile home park that is converting some spaces to RV. The site conversions are not exactly RV friendly. Narrow concrete strips for the wheels, the jacks are on soft ground and the sewer is located under the RV. The streets have many speed bumps, many of the remaining mobiles homes should be removed and it is very noisy. There is constant noise from I-65, train horns several times a day and night, and the occasional plane traffic; not a peaceful location. We stayed here for 3 months while working for Amazon; the cost of the site was paid for by Amazon. This may develop into an acceptable RV park in a few years but it will always be noisy. The park is on the northern outskirts of Clarksville so shopping and other services are a few miles away.
The sites are level with broken concrete patios and grass areas. No tables or fire rings. 50 amp electrical.
The water is good quality city service but use a filter. The pressure fluctuates, especially in the morning.
There is no park provided cable or wifi. Service may be obtained from Time Warner. Typical OTA channels.
There is no laundry, pool, showers, park activities, etc. The staff is helpful, when asked, but otherwise they are rarely seen.
A mailbox can be purchased from USPS. UPS and FedEx deliver here, but have difficulties locating Lakeview Dr.
We will probably not be stay again as we have no desire to work for Jeffersonville Amazon (SDF8) again. - Wiyndog

This park is close to I65, but traffic noise not too bad. It is basically a parking lot with full hook-ups. There are no picnic tables because there is no place to put them. I could touch both my camper and the one next to us at the same time. There was less than a foot between us and the class A behind us. That being said, the staff was great and so was the location. The campground was as clean as it could be with everyone crammed in like sardines. There are a few larger sites and if I were to come back, would try to reserve one of them. - Vernadene
Mar 2018 - $32.00
We called ahead to make sure there would be a spot and got confirmation on an availability so we drove straight there. Check in was fast, friendly and efficient by the camp host. Only cash or checks are taken for payment. Our spot was 35A and we pulled through. Laundry room was open and clean. Bathrooms don't open until April 1st. The temperatures were still in the freezing range when we were there. - Mother of 3 boys
Nov 2017 - $15.00
We chose this park as it is close to the Louisville, KY VA Hospital. The road in is easy to navigate and the roads in the park are wide. Check in was fast and friendly. There are a number of permanent residents, most are kept up well. We were in Site 3D, a gravel pull through with full hook-ups, no issues and 50 amp electric. The sites are very narrow but long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. The laundry room was just okay. There was plenty of places to walk the dog. WiFi was spotty and Verizon signal was good.
There is some traffic noise but not too bad considering how close you are to the expressway. We stayed November 10 - December 4, 2017 and paid $450 - monthly rate or $15.00 a day. We originally reserved for a week at $37.45 per night, but due to health issues we needed to extend that and they gave us the whole month at the monthly rate. We did leave a few days early. - BarrettsHappyTrails

This is a nice stopping point for a night or two. Easy in and out and 1.1 miles from I-65 in Southern Indiana. They have 4 spots, but 2 are occupied by other campers that don't seem to be moving. Very nice neighborhood around the Lodge. They are open everyday at 11:00 and serve food all day. You must be a Moose member to camp here and enter the Lodge. The lodge is a non-smoking lodge. There is one water spigot for all 4 spots. We camped in the second spot and our hose was long enough to reach the water spigot. Each site has 50 amp service. There is no dump. The site is fairly level. - Cliff-fa-fa
