Tucked away in bluegrass country hills, Greenbo Lake State Resort is a beautiful, quiet, sanctuary. The office rests at the boat ramp/boat rental, while the campground is located along a spring-fed creek, with many of the sites right on the edge of the creek. Gravel sites were extra spacious, but not level. We had to use boards to raise up one side of our trailer 5". The hook-ups were all 30 amp and in good working order. However, the location of the water and electric were on the opposite side - that 50' water hose came in might handy. Each site had a fire pit and picnic table and most are well shaded by trees. Other amenities on the property are a miniature golf course, horseshoe pit, basketball goal and slab, playgrounds (2), a Lodge (was not open for the season when we stayed here in April), fishing, hiking trails, boat rentals. I regret to say that we had only one night here, but would certainly stay here again. - the Fishers
Jul 2016 - $28.00
Nice campground. Quiet. Open Wi-Fi was good but registration clerk didn't say it was available, we accidentally discovered it. I would definitely stay here again. - rdkeith
Jul 2015 - $33.00
Old state park with nice campground in slot canyon; nice small spring-fed creek behind site; lots of kids & families having fun on weekend; very hilly with much lake activity ( boating, skiing, fishing); very remote; moderate lodge with so-so restaurant; not a 'destination' for us again - ok stop for traveling through. - North Texas DJC

I truly enjoyed my stay here. I was in town visiting family, and it is very conviniently located. Only 1 mile away from the river, and a Marina. A very peaceful town with very friendly people. Loved it!! - jigarvp

Easy on and off of I-64. Easy pull thru. Good cable (no ESPN). Cell service was good but wifi was very good. Sites had nice grass and picnic tables. We would stay again. - Beggco
Oct 2017 - $89.00
We stayed in a cabin for one night on our way to Indianapolis. The cabin was fine and located in the back of the campground. The staff was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. This campground is small and located behind a large cemetery so that's a bit odd. - NC RV Travler
Sep 2017 - $40.00
Good spot for overnight stop. Easy on and off highway. Campground easy to navigate with mostly pull-throughs. Not too much nearby. - Randy & Sharon

We picked this park needing an overnight stay in our 40' MH. RVPR gives it a 7.5 but I think that is generous. Basically felt like we were staying in someone's backyard. Site was really long so that was nice, but other than that there was really nothing else. Entrance is quite tight for big rigs. - denvercats
Jul 2017 - $25.00
Glad to have found this place but if you are looking for all kinds of amenities this place is not for you but it works just fine for us to chill for a few days after doing some one nighters. Long, level, full hookup sites with great power and water pressure. 40 foot long concrete patio beside your RV which is parked on level gravel. Room to park tow vehicle also. This is an old mobile home park that they have converted to an RV park and added 5 pull through sites which are at least 100 feet long. - zrxh14
May 2017 - $28.00
This is a very small RV park with no amenities. It was a great spot for a night or two. Owners were very friendly and the grounds were well maintained. We stayed on a pull through site which was very long and maybe the most level site we've stayed on. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again. - Wherever we park it

Nov 2017 - $32.00
Stayed here one night as we traveled west to east. Not a lot to pick from in this part of the country for a 45' MH. This one was easy to get to but very muddy when we got there. Clearly they are working on it but was pretty cut up. My coach would not connect to 50A in site 4. I kept getting the dreaded neutral not equal to ground error. I tested with my multimeter but couldn't find the problem. A guy came out with his multimeter and when I asked if he was an electrician he said he was the electrician for this park. At any rate, they had just pulled wires for these 50 amps. My coach has hooked up no problem to 50A everywhere else ever since. Be VERY careful. 30Amp hooked up fine which was ok as we were only there for one night. Which was our last night! - SHIPM8
Oct 2017 - $32.00
Like others have described, the location made it an ideal spot for an overnight. The airstrip and surrounds are near the Ohio River and it would have been entertaining if there were planes landing or skydiving lessons happening..... The park is really a few lines of sites; nothing special or appealing. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. - Fwdaj
Aug 2017 - $30.00
Needed a quick overnight place. Many long term residents, but quiet and clean. Good restaurant on site and would probably be real fun when people are jumping. - Therealvor

Not a bad park for a few days. The site next to ours had no power so we were able to park our hauler there. There are no full hookup sites but they did provide a pump out service and there was a dump station. We were on site #53 which had a nice view of deer on the hill across the highway. Not much going on in the surrounding area and it is a dry county. The park is located on a nice creek/river that was very peaceful. Clean laundry. - full timers from Michigan
Apr 2006 - $19.00
Nice but small campground next to a stream with a view of small falls. The owners are friendly and put money back into the campground yearly. The sites are level and the bathrooms are very clean. A nice place to retreat and relax, esp. in the evening with the sound of the falls on the rocks. Good fishing in the stream also. Just be careful if you decide to get into the water and wear watersocks or shoes because there is a lot of broken glass around. The only other problem we have with the campground is that it is not paved. There are also nice cabins there for rent and yearly camper storage available. This campground is also near Yatesville Lake. It is actually closer to the lake marina than Yatesville Lake State Park is. - User202

The road in is a bit much but doable. 37' made it just fine but watch the top. Sites are level, but way to close to the other. If you like living in a trailer park this for you. Unfortunately this also comes with the trash.. The people in this area dont seem responsible enough to camp or follow responsible rules. The Park staff seemed very friendly and nice but dont enforce the the stated rules. The park would do better to reduce the number of sites and provide a more park atmosphere. - RoadEagle
Apr 2017 - $33.00
We visited Beech Fork in August of 2016 to go out on the lake for the day. Nice size lake but not huge. Restricted to pontoons and fishing boats only. Pontoon rental was $150 for 2 hours. Other options available but great staff at the marina. Water was calm and warm. Nice beach area plus pool. The location is approximately 8 miles south of Huntington, wv and Marshall University if you choose a day trip or eat out. Roads are classic Appalachian but if you take your time it is no problem. We plan to camp here this spring and give follow up report. - Sinjin79
Nov 2016 - $34.00
We stayed in the Old Orchard campground...all sites are level and pull throughs.... not a lot of shade....big rig friendly with full hookups, all utilities worked well... spaces not too close together....wifi is free and worked well during the day but was slowly during the night when people were at their campsites...cell service was very good...restrooms were a little outdated but I've seen worse and there was great hot water supply....a lot of nice hiking and biking in park...very family friendly campground.... be very careful on road from interstate to park the last 5 miles is very curvy and the road is narrow but we managed and we are 36' pulling a road, just take your time....will definitely return to this park..x. - smoky40

Jul 2017 - $40.00
Went to use rest room, it was locked. When I inquired she stated they had a problem. None other available. Was told I had full hook-ups, use my own. Not an answer paying $40.00 per night to park on grass, no restrooms or shower available when needed. Owner very curt in responding. No discounts for veterans, or other available. Sewer spout very high. - Arv Berg
Jul 2005 - $23.00
Well as I sit here at the campground, it's not that bad. Pull-Thru sites are gravel and OK, didn't have that much problem leveling. No trees in this area but some of the other sites in the lower level of the campgrounds are quite shaded. Found this open access wireless internet port, but sure it is not being supplied by the campground so someone in the area is providing a nice service!! Showers & Restrooms were clean on Monday morning but could have used a little clean up on Sunday when we arrived. Looks like quite a few campers are here for the summer season so if your here during a weekday you have the cammpground to yourself. All and all not a bad place even though most of the time no one seemed to be around at the office !!! We were in a 35' Class A. pulling a car. Just don't use RT125 getting to the area!!! - hotroder
Jun 2005 - $25.00
We have stayed at this park 5-6 time in the past few years, and saw it deteoriate until 2005. New ownership has improved the park dramaticlly. Much additional work is being done to further improve the park, but it appears that there are more permanent sites than in previous years. Some are unkept and take away from from the overall appearance. Dust was a major problem for the sites on the top level. Rv'ers and park operators speed in and out covering everything in layers of dust. - halpal150
