2 Parks near Shepherdsville, Kentucky
Jun 2015 - $32.00
Stay away! Arrived after lunch, office was closed and no one answered their phone. Sat and waited in the street till someone showed up. Checked in and parked in the cramped site. Your awning will hit your neighbor if fully extended. My wife started to walk the dog after getting parked. She walked past a shrub near the office and an old man (Grandpa) screamed at her don't let that dog get close to the shrubs, she asked him why and he yelled back very rudely "read the rules". He continued to say the dogs "piss" on my shrubs and kill them, I'll kick you out myself. At check-in we did not get the special rules for dog owners. She came back to our rig in tears he was so ugly to her. We paid for 3 days and stayed because we had to. He does not like kids either and yells at them too. Stay anywhere but here, they obviously do not appreciate their customers. - Big Texan

Called in a reservation about 2.5 hours out from Grandma's. Needed a place to stay overnight on our way back north. Took our payment over the phone and gave us site #4. Office would be closed by the time we arrived, but the receipt would be in the electrical box.
Site #4 was occupied when we got there, so we took the next available, and wouldnchaknow it, our receipt was in the electric service box. A phone call would have been nice letting us know but, no harm, no foul.
Utilities all good. Nice long sites, didn't have to unhook on pull-thru.
Make sure you've got a nice long dump hose, or your neighbors sewer will be right outside your front door.
Easy on/off with freeway also means you can hear it but, it wasn't bad. - Boondockdad

This is a parking lot with hookups. Gravel level sites spaced very very closely. Hookups are all at rear of site so long hoses are needed. No amenities other than slow WIFI, just a clean place to safely park for the night. - lllkrob
Jul 2015 - $59.00
Pool was closed and we were not told at time of reservation. Site was so small we could not have campfire. We had to step over neighbor's septic line to get to our truck. Hot tub was green. We love KOA just not this one. Terrible. - ssdoyleusmc
May 2015 - $71.00
Stayed at a premium site - concrete pad for metal tables/chairs only not worth the price. Campground OK. Some interior roads are paved but most gravel. Sites are gravel with some grass. Wi-Fi was slow but OK for email and FB only. Satellite access OK at our site. Nice children playground area. Do not pick up trash like most KOAs. 30 minute drive to downtown. - Tom Willing

The park is quite large and is not laid out very well. If you camped here during the peak season, I think it would be very difficult to find your site or get in and out of it. The park is just a few minutes south of Louisville and we were hoping that they offered a shuttle service into the attractions in the city or had an agreement with a tour operator to pick campers up and drop them off again. The KOA in West Memphis offers this service and it's great. We had to unhook and drive into Louisville, where there is major highway construction on I-65 so getting around was confusing and the GPS wasn't much help. There is lots to see and do in Louisville and I think RVers would really appreciate not having to unhook and drive to them. The park is far enough off the interstate so there is no road noise and the Wi-Fi worked well. We would stay here again for a night or two. - 69636
