Price very reasonable and park is clean. Not a pet friendly environment. It was stressed to us no pens or fences for your dogs outside, we usually have a little fenced area we use when we are with them outside , that is a no no. They are not allowed to go to bathroom except in one small designated area, barbed wire fencing, it is a strip of grass along a roadway which had areas of broken glass, lots of cigarette butts, nasty, no trash barrels, no lighting and the roadway is next to a weekend flea market, so lots of traffic on weekends to make your dog wait even longer to go to the bathroom in the proper area. There are signs everywhere about pets not here, no pets there and threats of instant eviction for any wrong doing with no refunds. Spaces very narrow , NO picnic tables and not allowed to put up a pop up tent to help shade you from sun. Not many trees. Our second night there we cooked outside and attempted to eat out on small tray tables, the owner comes along with a blower machine and goes up and down roadway plowing dirt and small pebbles at us while eating. Not very nice. Several campers there warned us of the behaviors and lack of tolerance of pets and apparently there are a few snitches that tattle. OK place for an overnight stop but I would prefer a Walmart parking lot to this behavior . We attempted to stay a week but shortened it. The dogs were so tense especially in the designated area. Will not be back. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.

Clean. Nice roads. Friendly. Large dog walk near front, many folks didn't use. So I understand why owner has rules. He doesn't wish landscape destroyed. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.

This is an overnight stop only even though there are several full timers. It's close to the highway and easy to get into and out of. I will stay here every time I come through. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Terrible! "Grandma's implies friendliness" - these people were anything but-I can't recommend this to anyone with pets or kids. The owners are hostile towards pet owners and seem to dislike anyone with children. I was advised numerous times over the phone that my daughter could not ride her bike in the park. I was told sternly when we checked in to "keep an eye on her" concerned, I asked for clarification- is it not a safe area?, should I be concerned?, etc. He went on to explain that she can't ride her bike in the park or on the road and seemed irritated that I (politely) asked for more info on the matter. Also as the owner of two very small very quiet dogs we were warned severely and several times verbally there was no dog run. The dog area where you are allowed to take your pets is about 4-5 ft wide next to a road that is mostly empty except for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday when a flea market is going on and traffic is constant. It was dangerous and if the grass is wet (it slopes away from the road) it can be slippery. We NEVER let our dogs do their business and leave it.We are full-timers and stay at least a month in every location. The owner actually stopped their car and watched to make sure we picked up after them before continuing on their business. There were sooooo many signs up about pets. From one location looking towards the road you can see 9 signs warning you not to let your dogs in the shrubbery and advising you of the consequences. The interaction between us and the owners was minimal throughout the time we stayed, the only person that seemed to actually be happy was a younger woman who was in the office one time when I went to see if we had received any mail. Everyone else was simply unpleasant-maybe burnt out. They have every right to run their park as they see fit, but deciding to be in a place for a month at a time we prefer to deal with happier management. We left a week early. The lots are gravel and flat but VERY tight spaces. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Over night stays seem fine. KY is a beautiful state and the towns surrounding Shepherdsville seem populated with very happy cordial people. If you are going to stay for a while I would recommend trying out a different campground.

Park is very close to the freeway and easy to find but be careful as signs can be misleading. Traffic noise is not too great year always there. We arrived in the rain, was greeted by attendant and treated well. Park is clean and has rules to keep it that way. Site was fairly level. Is a good park for an overnight. We would stop again if passing through. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for husbands work, 3 week. Our stay was very nice. Better than I expected. Reading the reviews, I thought this is not going to be good, but I had no trouble. I have 3 dogs and as long as you pick up after them no problem. Spaces are tight , but really not bad . The only downside is walking dogs on the street. But we would stay here again. Quiet , no riffraff !! We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Walmart and shopping centers are just an exit away. Fri.Sat. and Sunday , the Flea Market is open , and all though they have speed bumps, it doesn't slow them down, 2 ran the stop sign, like it wasn't there !

This park is an overnighter only. The sites are so close together our neighbor had to move his feet so we could hook up our sewer. I would still stay here again. Roads are good for our 42' fifth wheel. Would recommend getting a better sign. First time we stayed here we missed the entrance and had to make a u-turn. Even though close to interstate, still pretty quiet. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small family run campground, nicely kept, and they take pride in their place. the park has good asphalt interior roads. Sites are fairly level pull through and gravel, with a small concrete patio. The problem with the patio area is that it is next to your neighbor's water and sewer hookup. There are no picnic tables. If you have a dog, you have to walk outside the park. There are signs everywhere about being evicted, with no refunds for violators of the dog rules. If you stay a week or more, they require a $25 damage deposit. That is in case you leave cigarette butts or cans on your site. We had a lot of butts on our site when we pulled in, so obviously they don't check well. There is no playground or pool, and they don't want children riding their bikes in the park either. This park is convenient to Louisville via I-65. The laundry area was clean and well maintained. One road to enter the park people also use to access the Flea Market and they ignore the stop sign, very dangerous! We would stay here again, as it is the most reasonably priced other than the State Park. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.

Pull thru site, but barely room to walk between campers. Washers in laundry took our money and wi-fi did not work. Staff unfriendly. Bathroom dirty.

Dogs allowed, but several mean signs about where they could be walked.

We stayed here because family was close by despite the bad reviews, and regretted it. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Agree with others, good for a few nights stay or if you want to visit nearby distilleries or Louisville. The office is only staffed in the afternoon, so if you try to call as we did you may get an answering machine. Someone eventually called back. We were told that if we arrived when no one is in the office to just pick a site in the front, which is what we did. The sites are nice and level, big rig friendly, pull-thru and gravel. They are pretty close together and there is no picnic table but we had full hook-ups. The wifi worked ok. There is no pool, dog run, or store. Laundry is $2.50/washer. Nearby is a big weekend flea market, grocery. Met our needs. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Near the freeway so lots of noise and on the weekend the people going to flea market going roaring down the road that is also the entrance to RV park. Restrooms are very clean but no privacy for showers for the modest among us. We stayed here 7 nights because it is very accessible to freeways and Louisville. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Travel Trailer.

We overnighted here and found it to be just what we need for that stay: close to the highway, clean and uncluttered, easy to navigate, level and dry, and affordable. The office manager literally jogged out to meet us, pointed us to an open pull-thru site, invited us to get set up and then come back to register/pay. Now, it's not the sort of place I'd want to hang out for a vacation (it's a bit sparse) and they do have a number of signs regarding dogs that might make dog owners feel picked on (we're not dog owners, so no worry for us). We would stay here again for sure. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.

Stopped for an over night stay. Park is clean with close sites and all gravel. Nicely landscaped and strict rules on dogs which we had no problem with. I carried my small dogs to the dog walk area that is close and to rear of the short stay parking. No picnic table and the concrete patio was half on the site next to us. Water spigot is below ground so be prepared to get on your knees when hooking up. The elderly man taking our money was decidedly unfriendly and gruff. We'd stay here again for a night if passing through. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is handy to Interstate. Gravel sites FHU. Sites are a little tight but doable. We arrived at 12:30pm and no staff were here. Owner show about
1:00. Tenant in park told us to take one of front sites as they are used for
short timers. When owner arrived he said fine. Staff that take payment arrive at 3:00. Still a good park for a couple of days. We camped at Grandma's RV Camping in a Motorhome.
