Coming to this park is more about the natural surroundings than the park amenities. Fees have been rising quickly due to high demand, but there is no evidence that those fees are being used to improve anything in the campgrounds. Restrooms are kept fairly clean but are old. Really old and tired. The dump station is a weird configuration that requires you to stop facing the wrong way on the entry road. Be careful if you are leaving on a Friday. If you like hiking or rock climbing this is a great area, and this park is close to most of it.

Site had a street light shining into it. Ugh. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Travel Trailer.

2nd time back. B12 this time to try to get on a side where the hookups where. WeLL the water was but the power was 60' away. We didn't have an extension so used a 110v adapter and extension cord. Most all sites have no room for tow vehicle, must park along the road in the grass. Nice place though. We came in with the creek very high and camped beside it. Would have to be a bad one to have to worry with flooding. Stream made sleeping peaceful. Bathroom and shower was clean. Needs better exhaust fan. Plenty to see and do around Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. Now has free wi-fi and worked pretty well. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Campground is located in a narrow valley with a small stream passing through it. There are signs warning of the possibility of flash floods. We chose a site away from the creek because of that. All sites are fairly level gravel surfaced. The center of the campground has pull through sites but they aren't real large. Our truck and trailer combination would be sticking out both ends if I didn't unhook. We chose a backin site that was very spacious. We had a large grass lawn with picnic table. utility posts were located on a site next to us. I used 35 feet of hose to reach the water. My electric cord was fully extended also. Any longer and I would have needed my extension.

The park is very neat and clean. The attendant was very helpful. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are many miles of hiking trails here. We rode the lift to the top of a hill where you could access trails and take a short hike or a long one depending on your enthusiasm for such things. The area is very picturesque. The Red River Gorge is nearby offering great scenery. We saw deer in the campground shortly after arriving.

We enjoyed our first camping trip here. Plenty to see and do. The bathroom have the gym / pool feel. Meaning you'll want to where flip flops in the shower. Garbage drop off is close. Stores within 3 miles. Had a puddling issue at our site after rain. The fire pit and half our "yard" was under water. We would stay again based on the things to see and do not based on a super nice camping experience. And like others have said odd numbers will have opposite hookups. Whittleton campground is worse. B19-B26 will require 3-6" lift on left side. B1-B5 will require lift 6-8" in the front and 3-6" lift on left side. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Sites are tight for a 34 footer, but they are manageable. A couple of the back in sites may be roomier than the pull through sites. Because it is in the park it is very handy to those going to Natural Bridge. Red River Gorge is just up the road. We stayed here 3 nights and this is our 2nd visit here. Water and electric are located together for 2 spots; therefore, you may have to run electric and water lines under the trailer to the reach water and electric ports. Do not turn your vehicle around or your picnic table will be on the wrong side of the RV. All things considered a nice campground. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is nice and small with a medium size creek dividing it where kids love to play. The majority of sites are level with most requiring back-in; ones down the center of the east side of creek are drive-through. We stayed in B010 which resulted in us having our awning away from the creek; most are like this if on the east side. Recommend staying in sites on west side of creek (about 6 total) on the northern side. Primary reason is for better view/access to creek if you have children.Water and electric are stable. No sewage and little access to top four TV channels. We did not try using the WIFI since Verizon worked fine; friends had difficulty staying connected with AT&T. Bath house is dated but clean. Dump station is on the entry side of the road since terrain constrains placing an island in the middle of the road. Although we just had a 20' trailer, many very large 5th-wheels easily navigated the small road. Tent campers must use the RV lot to enter their section but on the weekend there was not much traffic. Staff are very friendly and periodically drive through the campground to ensure everyone is maintaining a friendly atmosphere. We would definitely return. The park itself is beautiful and the access to the hiking trails and the sky lift to Natural Bridge and Lover's Leap is very convenient. But the section of the campground we were in, site B023, was not a good experience . The pull thrus are very close together, there is not even enough room for a 30 foot camper and a tow vehicle. Camping next to inconsiderate campers in such close quarters is not fun. There are cars parked all over the campsites and you feel like you are camping in a parking lot. It doesn't help that the one vehicle per site rule is not enforced. The odd sites are even worse than the even sites as there are utilities for 2 sites taking up a great deal of space. I would not return unless I could get a site on the other side of the campground which is on the other side of a small stream and has more space per site. I would highly recommend this campground. The state of Kentucky has always impressed me with there facilities and this is no exception. This park is clean and small, we have a 20foot RV so we have no problems. If you have a big rig, just make sure you get a pull through spot. There is plenty outdoor activities around the area. We had a quiet peaceful week at this campground. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Yes, it is a smaller campground, but that just helps it to be a nice and quiet site. There only 2 negatives that we can say about the campground. The hook-ups are in awkward positions. We and most other campers had to run our water hose and electric hook-ups under the RV to the opposite side. No big deal unless your hook-ups won't reach. The trash dumpster is on the outside of the campground and across the road, due to keeping animals out of the campground. This was a small problem for us, because we are both physically impaired. So we had to put our trash in the trunk of car and drive to the dumpster each evening. The sites are close, but well maintained. I believe each site had at least one shade tree, picnic table, and fire ring. We stayed in one of the pull-thru's that made it very convenient for us. The center section are pull-thru's and are very level. The first row of back-ins have a slight incline. The row along the creek/stream appear to be pretty level, also. We will definitely stay there again. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Motorhome.

Tight is the best word to describe this campground. If you are over or even around 40 feet, you may regret staying at this park. Good location close to the park sites which are awesome. WiFi you have to pay to play, lost a point with me. Sites are a decent size, just right on top of each other. There is nothing close by: no groceries or Walmart so come prepared and stocked up. Clean relatively new bathrooms, but in need of repair. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed next to the stream and loved it. Nothing beats sitting by the fire and listening to the stream. Our site was huge but that is not the norm. Actually the majority of sites are pretty tight and not long enough to accommodate anything much over 30'. There is an occasional site that will fit a big rig, but you must pay attention to the site length. The roads were paved, and sites were crushed gravel. This was good when it rained, but bad when its dry as it all gets tracked in the camper. Water pressure is fantastic, electric not so much. If we had to use the AC I'm not sure it would have run it. The park ranger does patrol a lot and watches for the slightest infringement. Its a bit excessive and annoying. Trout fishing is pretty good in the stream as well. We will definitely return for another trip. We loved it. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Park staff is very friendly and professional. Campground has too many RV in such a tight area. Very little room to maneuver a rig. Saw several folks hit posts trying to back rigs in. Any trailer over 30' is problematic. If you check-in in the afternoon, you may have to wait 15 minutes or so while the person before you unhooks their rig. Not possible to stay connected here. I understand that part of camping is burning firewood but folks burned firewood all day and night. Never saw this much wood burned in other campgrounds. Everything inside smelled of wood smoke for days. Lots of unsupervised kids and dogs running around in a small area. Bathhouse was clean. No cellular reception and no over the air TV. Satellite TV did work fine. Would not stay here again. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a walk-in. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because when we arrived there was no personnel to check us in. There was just a picture map telling us which sites was available to use. The campground was nice, quiet, and family friendly. We will be staying here again. Beautiful campground with a fair bit of shade, fabulous scenery, helpful staff and easy access to Hemlock Lodge & Hoedown Island. We had a site along the stream (check out sites B27-B35). We could walk down to the stream and splash around as it was shallow. Only negative comment would be the location of the H20 & electrical hook-ups. We had a back-in site but the hookups were at the front of the site and on the opposite side. Luckily, we brought extra cord & hose, but had to walk over them to access our trailer. Internet was available if you pay for it; otherwise you can find a hot spot at Hemlock Lodge. Their restaurant was very good. We had visitors to our campsite for dinner and there was no fee for them to enter which was nice. We camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park - Middle Fork Campground in a Travel Trailer.
