I hadn't been to this State Park for over 30 years, was amazed at how clean and nice everything was. This has become our CG to stay at now when visiting friends. The bath house is new and very clean, the grounds were mowed. There is a ton of stuff to do in the park itself. Will definitely be back. - Stu & Gerri

Everything was very clean and neat in this park even though it was full. Restrooms and grounds were immaculate! Also, we were amazed that a state park provided laundry facilities. My only complaint would be that the sites are very close together, and there is no privacy at all. Interior roads were quite easy to navigate. We barely squeezed into our pull-thru site without having to unhitch, but some pull-thru sites were longer. The route we took from Lexington on 418 had lots of low-hanging branches and one extremely steep hill. I would not recommend it for high profile fifth wheels. - TXcampermom

Very nice property, especially since this is a large CG that stays busy all year. A and B sections have plenty of shade. Large pool, very clean with lifeguards on duty. Stayed here during an event week when nearly every site was occupied and it didn't feel overcrowded - sites have a comfortable distance between. Open green spaces throughout give this CG a park-like atmosphere. Very pleasant and we return here often. Open all year, although they close off some sections for the winter. - Flying Mantis

The park itself is really nice. This was our second visit. The pool is very clean and my kids had a great time. There are two playgrounds, basketball court, volleyball and tennis court. Great family atmosphere. Bring your bikes. Paved roads and the Legacy Trail is on property. My only complaint is the amount of dogs not on leashes running around. There are several signs stating that dogs need to be on a leash but A LOT of campers ignore the leash law. It causes problems for campers who are walking their dogs on a leash. There were at least 3 dogs running around the playground while kids were trying to play. The park staff should enforce the leash law. - Happy camper 74

Our second visit. All back in but enough room. Excellent shade at most sites which are above average in size. E&W only but good. Two multi station dump sites (if someone is not taking up extra space and time to hook up their toad). Must have reservations as drop ins are still charged fee. Traffic on the loops is constant, cars, trucks, scooters, golf carts, bicycles, anything with wheels. No "cut through" paths to bath houses so people make their own. In summer it is crowded but is a good park. - gumper
