We camp here a lot in the summer. All but 5 weekends were spent here. We love it. - Bbkkanderson

Campsites are not level and were very muddy after several days of rain. Unfortunately I they allow people to leave rugs on the grass which kills the grass and this creates a muddy mess after a rain. This could be remedied by putting gravel in the patio areas. Utilities are ok, but water connections are shared and far away from each site. Park is celebrating Halloween the whole month of October and it is very noisy between the road traffic on the highway, cars, trucks and golf carts driving around the campground and lots of kids playing in the streets long after dark. - ForzaDude

We stayed here while visiting friends in Richmond. The campsites are closer together than in any state park we have seen, also noisiest. Concrete factory and busy road with truck traffic nearby. Large unavoidable mud hole next to RV door. Water access is on the right, far off, and power on left. Site barely fit our RV and disconnected toad. On the good side staff are friendly and bathrooms are clean. Overall it feels like a city type KOA, not a state park. Bring lots of water hose, and earplugs if light sleeper. - rudyhehn

Easy on and off highway. Friendly staff. Large sites. Some seemed to have to use blocks to get level. Ours was OK. Nice clean bathroom/showers. Laundry. Camp store is well stocked. Nice paved roads to ride bikes. We had a large grassy area behind us with some big trees. The pool was closed but looked nice. Buy your tickets for horse park at campground. They are discounted and allows free parking. - Jan Orlando
Sep 2018 - $31.00
Stayed 4 nights in a 43' motorhome to visit horse farms. Easy on-off from I-75. Check-in at gift store and disconnected tow vehicle in parking area. Easy to navigate big rig. No escort to site 51, back-in, E/W, fire ring, picnic table, level asphalt. Beautiful surroundings with shade trees all around. Sites are perpendicular to road and just wide enough to fit coach making entry-exit tight and tires cut over grass. Arrived in pouring rain and these corners were mud holes. Remainder of stay (3 days) mud never improved much. Grounds do not drain well. Good distance between sites. No satellite due to trees. No cable/good OTA channels. A lot of room to walk dog. CG has nice pool facilities that were closed for season. Park was full over weekend with local families. Several dump stations at entrance to park. If in area probably would not use for overnight stay but good location to visit horse farms. - RTM

The we site reserved in advance was occupied by a party that refused to move. The staff put us in a different spot that when we stepped out of the MH we would almost end up in the drainage ditch. The park was packed so we were unable to get a different site until the following Monday (we were here for 5 nights). We had to use blocks to get our 38' MH level. The front wheels were off the ground by 4-5 inches. No sewer hookups but there are 4 dump stations. We kept loosing the wifi signal. Be sure you have a pressure regulator for the water as it is very high. No patio and we didn't use our mat because the site was muddy. Traffic through the park was constant. Kids were racing around in golf carts and dogs were allowed to run off leash. Grass hadn't been mowed and was fairly tall. Given the size of the campground, you would think there would be more supervision. Given the number of people using the facilities the restrooms were cleaned early in the mornings but could have used another one in the afternoon. On the positive side, the location was convenient to activities we had planned. The staff tried to accommodate us on our second request to change sites. - cruzin57
