Electric is 4 30a outlets per power pole two in each box. Two sites use same power pole pulling through in opposite directions. Water pressure is 60+ psi, no sewer on sites. No WiFi. AT&T & Verizon 4G LTE Air Card service is useable but poor. AT&T Cell phone 4 out of 5 bars. No Cable. Sites are on grass field with plenty of room between door side sites. Satellite is easy in open areas. No long term tenants. Payment with Credit Card ok. The sites are pretty run down. A power pedestal was knocked down and some have bad leaking water making the site unusable. Office is not manned on weekends. You have to go to the big Equestrian office building off to one side behind the small office. If you like being around horses the Equestrian Park is great to see the horses and some of the riders. I would stay here again but would be cautious of picking a site. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

It is useful to have a power splitter to use the two 30a outlets (per camper) and connect your 50a power cable to it. It helps if your staying more than a night or two if you have one. You can get a splitter at the RV Dealer in Baton Rouge.

The campground is grass, part with trees, part open, located in a quiet, safe part of town near the river. Electric and water hook ups only, with dump station. When I was there, there were only a few other campers but when there are events at LSU the place fills with tailgaters. If you're lucky you'll get to see the horses in the paddock. All in all the best value of any place I've stayed on my 6 week trip. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

Very friendly staff in the office. You pick your spot and then go to office to pay. We found a fairly level spot. They have 30 amp power, water and a sewer dump is available near the front of park. Bare bones campground, but the washroom and shower area were very clean, although women’s toilet area had no functioning lights. Very quiet and dark at night. Nice pasture views around. No internet or cable available. Perfect location for sightseeing around Baton Rouge. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

Caution, if you use a GPS to find this it may take you the wrong direction. This was a great find. It is a bit rustic, being just a field with pull-throughs that were a bit muddy, but there were only 3 other campers there. The office people may not be there full time but they are very laid back about when you check in. There is a long bike trail along the Mississippi River levy just outside the park. One downside is that people hunt in the woods close to the park which was stressful for our dog. Bathrooms were adequate. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Strictly bare bones as far as facilities, but we love this park. The location is wonderful when visiting Baton Rouge; it is very close to town, but feels like you are out in the country. The sites are grassy and close together, but the park has never been crowded when we have been there so the campers usually spread out through the park so it doesn't feel cramped. The bathrooms are immaculate and the price is right-on! Also, watching the horses in the adjacent pasture is entertaining! We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

A gem in the rough with large pull-thru sites. Only 30-amp service. Although there are no sewer hook-ups, there is a large dump station. Setting extremely bucolic amid a large horse farm. Convenient to downtown Baton Rouge. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

What you see is what you get. It is easy to get in and out of the park. Park is able to handle any size units. Our GPS gave poor direction to the park. Use Downtown exits from interstate and pass by LSU. I would have rated this park higher except for poor lighting in the bathhouses and park is overrun by fire ants. We would stay again if we are ever in the Baton Rouge again. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this park. Nice wide sites - good electricity - good water without stinky after smell. No sewer hookup, of course, but just fine for a few nights stay. Quiet too. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

This park must be a hidden gem except to locals. The setting is serene with horse pastures and live oak trees. They don't take reservations and you probably don't want to be here during a home LSU game-unless you are going to the game. All sites are grass and slightly uneven. You can walk to the East bank of the Mississippi. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

This park is very nice. Although they do not have on site sewer there is a large dump station. The sites are very spacious and all pull through. There are no activities in the park other than watching the horses that are in the paddocks but it is conveniently located for sightseeing. The park was extremely quiet the two days that we were there. I highly recommend this park especially as a one or two night stop over. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

Can confirm the last review: this is a nice and clean park. Not too much to do here if you're not into horses, but definitely OK for an overnight stay or when you just want to relax. Would probably choose this park again. No Wi-Fi here, so bring your own internet. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Truck Camper.

Nice clean park, bare facilities, but adequate for overnight. Friendly staff. Easy access. Nicely kept park with hiking trail and picnic area. Rec hall was closed for winter months. Park was about half full. Only a few miles to a Casino if that is your thing. We would stay here again. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

Park is first come first serve, no reservations. Getting a spot should not be a problem if there is no horse event going on. People are nice and helpful. When we arrived the entire campground electric showed an open neutral line. I notified them and it was fixed by the evening. Check before plugging in. There is no sewer or Wi-Fi. Good water pressure and the electric was good after the open neutral was fixed. Short ride to LSU or Baton Rouge downtown. Spots are all on grass with very few trees. Would stay again. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.

A horse lover's place. Quiet and a bit secluded but probably really "hops" when there's an equestrian event. We were one of three rigs in the main part of the RV park. Few shaded sites and picnic tables. Grassy sites with gravel drives. Finding park: 6400 River Road gets you to the private entrance road which turns east off of River Road. Mississippi River nearby as is Hansen's Disease Museum about 20 mi to the south in Carville. No sewer hookup but there's a dump station. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed here a few months, this is the third time staying here. The last visit I was concerned about the electrical. This time I brought a good digital meter and the power was just fine. I was the only rig in the park so it was very quiet. The site was level, I was able to get good satellite signal. Staff was very nice. The last morning here I made my coffee and stepped outside to find 30 beautiful horses grazing in the pasture next to my site. I stayed in a park east of here in August and the place made me feel as if I was in a Secure Lockdown area. Now you can spend 40 to 50 dollars a night in one of the more popular parks, but if you are looking for peace and serenity this can not be beat. There are two very important things to know. Do not enter from the Brightside Street directions, there is major construction in the area. Take the first exit off of the bridge, then the first right turn. Follow that to the first left (One way) to River Road. Turn left and follow it about 6 miles. Pay very close attention to the turn, if you miss it good luck getting turned around. You will come up on a gated community on the left and a dirt road on the right leading up the banks of the Mississippi river. You will see the sign on the left, that is where you turn in. There is a very nice Win Dixie about 3.5 miles from the park if you need groceries. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.
