18 Parks near Breaux Bridge, Louisiana
Oct 2016 - $41.00
This was an easy overnight spot. It is right on interstate. There are only a few pull through. It's big rig friendly. There are a lot of tall trees that blocked our satellite from working. Antenna picked up couple of channels. Staff we met was nice. Guess our price was higher because we had one of the pull through. Hook ups looked worn. Interstate noise was loud outside, once in RV never heard. - OnTheRoadLife
Oct 2016 - $32.00
Excellent overnight stopover with a secured entry gate. The only drawback was highway noise from nearby I-10 which you don't hear with a/c on. Gravel road and level gravel sites. Cable TV and wireless are provided free of charge although we didn't use either. We requested and were changed to an open site for our satellite TV antenna. Pat at reception couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. - BP106
Oct 2016 - $33.00
This park is right off Interstate 10, easy to get to and easy to get back on the road. Some traffic noise but had the AC on so didn't notice it too much. The park is clean, grass mowed, restrooms nice, dog park, swings, etc. Staff was pleasant. Not a fancy park but great for an overnight, we will stay here again. Even better a Waffle House is at the entrance! - Sup RV's
Aug 2016 - $20.00
What a little gem to find in Louisana. The lake is lovely, lots of trees, super pool. We enjoyed our stay in a Class C motorhome. - cmw
May 2016 - $20.00
We really enjoy this park. Fishing at the back of your site. Passport America Sunday to Thursday, then Good Sam the rest of the week. There are about 5 or 6 large stocked ponds with great fishing.
The roads have been paved since we were here last. Sites are full hook up with 30/50 amp electric. Back in cement pad. 2 or 3 pull thrus sites. There is a small pool. There is a small clean laundry. Clean restrooms and showers. Few OTA TV channels. Great people work at the check in. Over all the park is very clean and well kept. The only thing missing is cable TV. The park is nice and quiet. There is shopping near by.
The roads getting to the park were really bad coming from I-10. I mean very, very bad. This should not detract from the park rating. The lady in the office told us about an easy way to get to I-49 and the roads were much much better.
I would rate this park a 10 if it had cable TV and privacy between sites.
Rate is for Passport America, for 4 days then Good Sam for 3 days. - BLT101
May 2016 - $20.00
We stayed at this park in Feb of this year, and liked it so much we stopped again for an overnight stay. They didn't disappoint! There are some issues with interior roads that have been damaged by heavy rains and heavy motor homes but they advised they have scheduled repairs. This park is off the beaten track, and frankly the roads in LA leave a lot to be desired. The roads were so rough getting to the park we said we may not stop here again. Which is a shame. This park is beautiful and relaxing, with almost all sites around small fishing lakes. There are only a couple of pull-through sites. Hate that the State and County roads are so lousy getting here. - Vicki K
Oct 2016 - $45.00
In the season or weekend is this campground like a fun park (a little bit like a cruise without a ship).
When we arrived in the early afternoon, everywhere people who driving around with there golf carts, loud music and a beer in the hand.
We expected a sleepless night but after 9 pm they closed the bar and the guests went to there trailers and one hour later nobody was outside anymore.
I wouldn't recommend the campground to a friend unless he like to make party. - Columbus
Sep 2016 - $32.00
This is the best park I have stayed in on my return visit to Nevada. Great freeway access, park access. Escorted to site assisted in RV set-up. Concrete RV pad and patio. Large, wide sites, even covered if you so desired. Fantastic pool, bar and kids interactive pool area separate from adults. Too many activities to list, even a movie theater. Friendly staff. Great check-in process. Wifi available and a premium broadband service for streaming with very fast speed (at a cost but well worth it!). Free garbage service at site. Utilities very good. In a word of summation: "OUTSTANDING"! - Dufus Dimwitty
Jul 2016 - $45.00
We stayed mid week but the park was packed in our area. I liked the concrete roads and sites. The roads are wide but with many cars on some sites moving around can be tight. The park is geared to a younger crowd with children who like to hang out with friends. They do have a few partner sites where you and a friend can park side by side and door to door. I thought that was a good idea. The pull thru's could be a little longer. - peddy dick
Jun 2016 - $40.00
We stayed at this park in 2014 and it was maintained lots better then. The paved roads were full of potholes and the gravel was almost nonexistent. There was no cap on our sewer. The site was not level. Laundry and bath/showers were air conditioned. Driving to the park gave you a feeling of being in the bayou wilderness. The staff was friendly. - Islandcpa
Mar 2016 - $34.00
Secluded remote location. Poor local access roads. Gravel uneven interior roads. Power went out in park for 3 hours but was ok after that. Not level sites and old hookups. Cable TV reception was poor. Pretty Lake with well manicured grass. Very quiet. Would not stay here again. Motorhome 36' - OnNTwo
Jan 2016 - $40.00
Upon arrival, staff is very friendly and prepared to make your stay a relaxing time. Park is clean with pull-through level sites. Will definitely stay again. - Preacher1
Apr 2016 - $20.00
One night stay, passing through. Just as others have described. Approach to campground is through a neighborhood, narrow street but passable, slowly. We missed entrance sign but found day use parking lot to turn around. Made reservations as "overnight er" and given a pull through level enough to not unhook. Hookups ok. Beautiful "boardwalk" trails and nature center at one end of park. It was cool but I suspect mosquitoes when warm. Great place for overnight. - jpatt
Apr 2016 - $20.00
City operated campground in the town of Lafayette. Very nice with paved roads and sites. Water and 30 amp only and dump station. Restricted access. No cable, no wi-fi, no satellite signal, antenna TV good. Good cell signal. Lots of big trees and grass. Tight but doable for big rigs due to trees. Busy on weekends. Park clean and staff helpful. Will stay there again. - Pepper Dan
Mar 2016 - $20.00
Pulled in off IH-10 for the night to avoid the $30-50 parks. Price is good. Did not use restroom facilities so no comment on them. Had to move from first site we chose as there is not water at each site and our two hoses would not reach. If you need water be sure to check site connections before setting up. Picnic tables and fire rings at some sites. Location good and we enjoy being in a more natural park than the usual resort or parking lot types. Very enjoyable for enjoying nature. There is a hawk nest in tree next to our site. Also a nature trail leaves from campground. Would return to campground but we're disappointed about water connections. - pwdorris
Mar 2015 - $16.00
We spent 3 nights here exploring the area. The pull through length was fine for a 37' fifthwheel and ext cab long box dually. The site was narrow with barely sufficient room for our slide outs and neighbors. Rooftop dish worked fine as no trees at our site, rooftop TV antenna also picked up several local stations. We used our Verizon hotspot with no difficulties. The fellow that checked us in was very friendly and had good local info. He led us to our site to make sure all was well. We did have a problem with 50a as it one leg dropped to 18 volts and shut us down twice the first day. After changing to 30a it was OK for 2 days. The view out the back window was very nice and open. We'd stay here again as it was only about 6 miles off I-10 so we didn't have to tow further considering the poor roads and possible low live oak branches. - big greg
Apr 2014 - $25.00
This park is quiet and clean. The gravel roads are sufficiently wide. The concrete sites are level but narrow. The utilities worked well, but the pedestals are not in the middle of the grass strip between spaces, so the neighbor's lines and hoses prevent any usable access to the front when the park is crowded. The "pull throughs" are really two back-in spaces combined, but since they are on one long pad you can drive through. There are 15-20 true back-in pads around a pavilion/group kitchen. These will be convenient once the strips in between sites are filled in and grass planted. The grounds are open grass that is kept mowed. The internet is decent. Antenna TV from nearby large cities is great. Lots of dog walking areas. If you like to fish for catfish, there are two large ponds with sloping grass banks (can't report on the catching). The men's bathroom had neither hand soap nor paper towels on two separate days despite it being the weekend and a sign displayed saying cleaning was to occur on both days (someone had attended the bathroom since there was a new waste basket liner). The laundry room no smoking sign was obviously not honored or enforced since the room reeked. The pool was not open (seasonal apparently) although the website did not indicate this limitation. We would stay again. - LoneWolf
Feb 2013 - $15.00
This is a nice little park outside of St. Martinville and Breaux Bridge. I actually think it is quite a bit closer to Breaux Bridge. It has fishing (though not when we were there), a playground, a pool and nice grounds. We would have given this a higher score, but the bathrooms were not very clean, but the worst thing was the laundry room. The washers and dryers were fine, but the smoking in there was awful. When you want clean clothes, the last thing you want is for them to smell like you spent the night in a smoking night club. There are big no smoking signs up, but someone smokes in the ladies room that is attached and it stinks up the whole place. I think it is someone in residence there because as I was doing my laundry, there were three different times that I could smell fresh smoke, really really bad. Someone needs to manage this. We would stay again because the park is nice, but I would never use the laundry room again. The rate of 15$ is with a Passport card. - twestover
Aug 2013 - $22.00
NEVER stay there. This place is a mess, weird people around, after dark you are surrounded by thousands of mosquitos (I got more than 30 bites all over my body). Washing machines are available, but NEVER use them. We did, and because they have iron water, most of our clothes were destroyed, and we had to throw away most of the two loads!!! The restrooms do not even have doors. Such a terrible place. - nikotka
Feb 2013 - $35.00
When we called to make a reservation for a week, the office was insistent upon our coming to McGee's Landing first to pay for our week, sign a contract, and then take our money. After we did that, we were told to cross over the levee to the campground. Now I know why we were told to come to McGee's Landing, first. Upon our entrance to the campground we saw: 1. an old washing machine, 2. old tires, 3. empty beer bottles, 4. an old vehicle with its hood propped open, 5. massive amounts of personal trash, 6. an office that is closed and has an old worn out ice maker propped on the porch, 7. broken lawn chairs/other broken items, 8. other campsites that were under water that appeared to have sewage in them, 9. large equipment tearing up tree trunks. We parked our RV only to be approached by a massive sewer smell. There was mud everywhere. It was impossible to walk our dogs without being in mud or approached by stray cats. I will never stay here again! - hootch
May 2016 - $20.00
We stay here when we are in Lafayette. A lot of work is being done to clean up, trees trimmed so Satelite works on most sites. Close to good food. No pool but who cares I don't come to Lafayette for a pool. If you use Silver Sneakers Snap fitness is about 1/2 miles, I need to work out after all the food. Go to BJ's for a Shrimp PoBoy and fries. You won't be disappointed, about 1/2 mile. - User2314
Sep 2014 - $20.00
Spent one night at this park and while the park manager was friendly and nice, will not stop again. Traffic noise was so loud you felt like you were in the median strip on the highway and did not let up until after 10:30 or so. It appeared there were a number of old and abandoned RVs parked there. Since our camper has no bathroom, we had to use the shower and restroom, and they were in bad shape. There was a plunger by the toilets which were not functioning properly, no exhaust fan of any type that I could see for the showers, and not clean. That experience taught me to look at the bathrooms to check them before parking there. - Travellite14
May 2014 - $12.00
This park accepts Passport America, which is the rate I paid. This isn't a "destination" park, with pool, dog run, kid's playground, etc. I used this park as a home base for exploring the Lafayette area. It is on Route 90, and you'll get traffic noise, but it certainly didn't bother me. While I was there, the owner was having the laundry and bathroom building painted inside and out. He has been working on a solution to bring Wi-Fi to the park, but has had trouble coordinating with the cable provider. He was very accommodating, as I kept extending my stay. I would stay there again if I was in the area. - Betty.Karl
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Highly rated CG. Several overnight pull through spots but mostly permanents. Mostly grassy sites that are well kept. Easy access to interstate, friendly staff. Cash or check only.
Nice pool and playgrounds. Gravel and grass sites in the trees. It was very wet the night we arrived since it was only a week after the devastating floods in the area so was a little squishy everywhere we walked. - 12858
Mar 2016 - $25.00
Very large sites, lots of grass and trees. Park mgmt put on a nice event for Easter. Lots of kids had fun. On the other hand, our site was so non-level we had to buy extra leveling blocks. Site was muddy. The sewer drain was on a concrete island that was so high our tanks wouldn't gravity drain. WiFi was weak, intermittent, and slow even when working. Most of the campers seemed to be non-permanent locals. Apparently this camp is a weekend campsite for locals, so we were outsiders. Unlike most camps, we didn't meet any friendly neighbors. Laundry room was filthy (had to wash out the washer and dryer before using them), but that may have been just bad luck due to a messy previous user. - Neil_and_Sandy
Oct 2015 - $32.00
This is definitely a campground not an RV Park. No cable. I think there might have been WiFi for a fee. Our site was satellite friendly. The sites were bare spots in the grass with a little gravel thrown on it. The sites were short. There was really no place to park our car in front or behind. We were told to park it along side our RV. The mosquitoes like to have eaten us alive. They don't take credit cards. The highways were in terrible shape. Every off ramp we took in the area led us into construction. There were a lot of oil riggers staying in the park, and they were very friendly & helpful. - Connie's Co-Owner
Jul 2015 - $25.00
The staff is Incredibly rude, took the enjoyment out of the stay. Park looks good until it rains and then it floods. Water covers the roads. Roads have huge pot holes. Bathrooms appear to be clean but are small and dark. - Articrob
Nov 2007 - $20.00
As stated in prior review, park is set back from the road which is a big plus in this industrial area. Also, the side and back have a solid 8' fence enclosing park. Did not use Wi-Fi, but was told it was central down near washer/dryers. Some sites are really big, they have several sites they set aside for overnighters and they were not as big, but OK. - Bob and Inga
