Very close to I 10 and therefore very noisy. Wifi worked alright. Entrance road is narrow and paved with a lot of big pot holes. Interior roads are gravel and in good repair. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park in conveniently located to many of the things to see & do in Acadiana. It is also close to amenities such as gas stations, grocery stores, etc. It is very close to the I-10, you can't get away from the constant highway drone; wore ear plugs at night. Sites were roomy, level with easy access to services. Nice laundry facilities, although the washers were out of order the first couple of days we were there. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is great for a stop over. Easy access off of I-10, gated access, back in and pull throughs. 50A available, and the management were very friendly. This is an older park, so some turns are kind of tight. But plenty of room between sites. But the I-10 highway noise is loud. if you are a light sleeper, look elsewhere. Lots of stores, restaurants, and RV dealers near by. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly check in, large pull through, clean restrooms and showers. Clean laundry, washer and dryer worked well. Close to shopping and RV store. Would be a10 if not for the noise off the interstate. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loved this park! Plenty of space between sites. Level. All hook-ups worked well. Great wifi. Cable TV. Cleanest restrooms and laundry that we have experienced in a long time! Friendly, caring owners. Nicely maintained with decorations for the season. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Arrived late but paperwork was right where it was supposed to be. Large pull thru site. Very nice with locked gate. Felt very secure. Pat and her husband were simply the best. After a long day of travel we were exausted. Was thinking of making a snack when Pat called and said her husband had made a big pot of vegetable soup. Brought us up a large bowl for supper. How thoughtful and a life saver for two weary travelers. I would recommend this park for anyone traveling through the atea!! We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is right off Interstate 10, easy to get to and easy to get back on the road. Some traffic noise but had the AC on so didn't notice it too much. The park is clean, grass mowed, restrooms nice, dog park, swings, etc. Staff was pleasant. Not a fancy park but great for an overnight, we will stay here again. Even better a Waffle House is at the entrance! We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent overnight stopover with a secured entry gate. The only drawback was highway noise from nearby I-10 which you don't hear with a/c on. Gravel road and level gravel sites. Cable TV and wireless are provided free of charge although we didn't use either. We requested and were changed to an open site for our satellite TV antenna. Pat at reception couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was an easy overnight spot. It is right on interstate. There are only a few pull through. It's big rig friendly. There are a lot of tall trees that blocked our satellite from working. Antenna picked up couple of channels. Staff we met was nice. Guess our price was higher because we had one of the pull through. Hook ups looked worn. Interstate noise was loud outside, once in RV never heard. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Based on the price and the reviews this park surprised me in as much as I was expecting more. The park is right off 1-10 so there is constant traffic noise although it can be blocked out with a/c and/or earplugs. The sites are primarily back-in although if you ask for a pull thru they will very nicely accommodate you with a parallel site. The sites are spacious, level and all gravel. The roads are gravel, too. There is a security gate that is closed at all times. The park, while simple and rustic, is well maintained. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little layover RV park while your travell big between destinations. The location is good for easy off/easy on and the charged a very reasonable price. As previous reviewers have stated the freeway noise is always present but it's not obnoxious in my book. I recommend the park and would stay here again. This park is convenient to the Interstate. Noise didn't bother us because we didn't sit outside much due to heat and humidity. Nice level sites. Lovely sitting garden and dog park with gliders. The park has gone out of the way to make it pleasant. Nice trees. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very convenient location, right off I-10. Noise was not too bad but you could hear the interstate. It all becomes "white noise" to me. I didn't use the laundry or any facilities so I can't comment on them. The site I had (48) was very level, gravel and long. There was a patch of grass with a picnic table and fire ring at each site. The sites were pretty spacious but we had no neighbors to really judge. DirectTV satellite could not pick up local channels but over the air worked well. Verizon cell service was good. The roads were wide and easy to maneuver in my 45' motorhome. It was a good place to stay while visiting the Lafayette area. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tabasco factory tour in Avery Island was wonderful. We also went to the Konriko Rice Mill for a tour and it was very interesting. It's on the national historic register. Get crawfish at Crawfish Town, exit 115 off I-10East. April is the best season to eat crawfish I was told!

The rate listed reflects the weekly rate. Let's get the bad stuff out of the way first: when it rains the sites get very muddy, there is lots of road noise, and the voltage of the power at our site (45) appeared to be a little low.

Now for the good stuff. Most sites are very nicely shaded and very spacious. The laundry facility and restrooms are very nice. The staff that we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. Getting in and out is very easy with easy access on and off I-10 (now I-10 itself between Baton Rouge and Lafayette is another story - it's terrible).

We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Cajun Market Donuts in Breaux Bridge is excellent but plan on a 15 minute wait to get to the cash register. Mardi Gras in Lafayette is a family-friendly affair and lots of fun. Don't miss the Lafayette Science Museum if you have kids. A small but very nice and affordable museum in downtown Lafayette.
