3 Parks near Chatham, Louisiana
Jul 2014 - $11.00
Rate reflects Golden age discount for LA resident. Beautiful park, plenty of trees, great for walking and biking. Camp sites are nicely sized and well spaced, though a little crowded around the water view sites. Park staff is very nice. Trash cans are emptied daily and park is keep fairly clean. There are 2 boat launches and several areas for fishing. Water pressure was good; we used a 55 PSI regulator. Power was steady. Electric and water only at sites, one dump area. There are two laundry rooms on the park; it was clean, we did not use the restrooms. There is a swim beach and day use area away from the main campground. It is a well laid out park. We would stay here again. - Fixn2gocamp

Very pretty. Peaceful on the weekdays, but busy on weekends. Clean everywhere. Big pads and nice sites. Private. Can't see into each others sites. Lots of space. Great shade. I will be back on a weekday. Water views are great. - Jacques1

We absolutely loved camping here at Jimmie Davis. Caney Lake is so peaceful and serene. They have new piers for boat docking and fishing. All of us were sad when it was time to go. Staff was friendly and the park was immaculate. As with most state parks, you are not camping on top of anyone else, so you have your privacy. The only thing missing is a swimming pool and canoe rental for those who can't tow a boat. - JodiB
Nov 2016 - $25.00
Stayed overnight dusty and noisy, trash laying around, dogs running loose, have to check in at travel center. Only stop if you are tired and need a place for the night. - gafidler
Nov 2016 - $36.00
We have stayed here many times. It's a perfect overnight stay between Texas and Alabama. Staff is friendly Sites are pull through. Full hookups.
A bit noisy. Sites are kinda close. Great proximity to good food and shopping. Highly recommend for short stays! - Hathaway67

Previous reviews are still appropriate. My biggest complaint is the Tengointernet service. It is too restrictive and slow! It is a good place for an overnight stop. - dagopapa

Each time I stay here there are more and more permanent campers. 10 pull thru sites, the rest permanent. Gravel roads maintained well but dusty.
A large truck stop across the street but noise is not a problem.
Pull thru sites are level. Many utility boxes are in bad shape.
We have family in town and have been staying here for many years and will continue to do so. - racer0624
