10 RV Parks near Coushatta, Louisiana
Aug 2018 - $28.00
Got waterfront campsite, was able to take lawn chairs to shore. Tried to fish, only saw a turtle. The shallow lake is warm, the fish were probably out in the deep water. Campsite was level, no problem with utilities. The 100 foot tall trees shaded the ground, didn't use the AC that night. Took US71 instead of Interstate, nice 2 lane 55 mph trip through the woods from Bossier City to the Casino N. of Pineville. - Friz
Apr 2016 - $30.00
Not sure resort is the word I would use to describe this place, but it's a nice enough campground regardless. Very woodsy with plenty of space between sites, it's well laid out and easy to navigate. Beware that you're in a forest, so trees may likely block satellite reception. We stayed here one night while I transit to Key West and found that it's a bit off the beaten path for an overnight ear. Still, if I were local I probably would enjoy this as a weekend getaway. - ajmurray
Aug 2015 - $25.00
Very clean if you can get a water front slot get it. Has a nice beach and slips to house your boat over night. Also it has accommodating boat launch and very nice facilities. - bigredcherokee
Sep 2018 - $17.00
Very nice RV park. Close to I-49 and Diesel fuel. Nice people with good customer service. Very nice grounds with gravel parking and drives. We enjoyed our stay and will add this site to our regular stops. Close to Shreveport and all the places around. - Firefighter Al
Jun 2018 - $19.00
The sites were pull thru, mostly level, dirt/with grass on the edges. ATT worked well, easy on/off the interstate. We were a little upset that we had a view of the lake and the wifi was working well until they parked a rig right beside us, which blocked our view and the wifi signal, so no more wifi for the rest of the stay. There are 17 pull thru overnight sites, we were the only rig there until the second rig showed up to park right next to us so we didn't leave happy. - Traveler23
Mar 2018 - $18.00
Great family camping, relax, kick off your shoes and let the kids run around. Then go to Mim's across the street for catfish. - lwasouth
Nov 2016 - $25.00
Rough interior roads, no level sites. Soft ground at sites, jacks sunk in with no ground support, took an hour to dig out. Large sites. Nice people. 5 miles from town. Would not stay here again. - runamuka
Jan 2016 - $25.00
"Campground" is stretching it. This is a field cleared out of the woods with electric/water/sewer connections. There's wi-fi, but it's VERY slow and spotty. The "site" was grass & dirt, with a little gravel thrown in, but I had to use boards under the levelers so they wouldn't sink into the ground. And the whole place is unlevel; my front wheels are off the ground. "Streets" are graveled paths worn into the ground. From the time you turn off of the highway the gravel road is bumpy, preparing you for the campground "streets". I stayed here because it's the least expensive, believe it or not, of all the campgrounds in the Natchitoches area. It will do as a base because I don't use campground amenities except laundry. - rv1guy2cats
Jul 2013 - $25.00
A relatively new park trying to get established. A nice, very quiet place in the country about 5 miles north of Natchitoches. Good utilities. Turn in on a narrow dirt road with low hanging limbs; they will brush the top of a motorhome. Entrance to park is narrow and very rough, needs grading badly. The entire park is very rough and unlevel, but after trying two sites, we were able to level. The office is not manned, but calling one of the 4 numbers will get someone there by late afternoon to check you in. Friendly, nice people. No issues other than ants; they came home with us. Gravel and tree trimming will make a huge difference. Considering the choices around Natchitoches, it's one of the top 2. - windyridge
Jul 2018 - $37.00
New campground close to the Red River. The downfall is the terrible road to it. Lots of Pecan trees that offer shade to some spots. Nice concrete pads with patio and table. Good wifi and ATT service. If in the area this is the best campground. - southernsky
Jun 2018 - $40.00
Beautiful new park. The road in and out leaves something to be desired. It is narrow for a large rig with one almost 360 degree turn. Fortunately, there isn't a lot of traffic on it. We met a truck towing a boat on that 360. The truck stopped giving us the room we needed. If they could widen the road so that 2 rigs could pass it would really help. Staff is wonderful. Park is extremely well cared for and clean. Would stop again even with the road. - dickens
Jun 2018 - $40.00
Wow!! What an excellent park. It is just one year old and the lay out of this beautiful park is in a class unto itself. The sites are spacious and our site was partially shaded. The road in is a little rough with some large patches and it is almost 3 miles from the main highway. We would definitely stay here again when in the area, which may be often since I graduated from Northwestern State University and Natchitoches is my wife's hometown. - rwlock
Dec 2014 - $33.00
We stayed here for 2 nights to visit the area as there isn't much to choose from.
The park is easy to get to & from I-49 but it is several miles from the Interstate in town.
The park is very small. It is behind a business. The park's office is located at the other park (Nakatosh Campground #1) so you have to go there during the business hours if you want to pay by credit card.
The interior road is gravel. The road is in poor condition and doesn't show signs of being cared for.
The sites are a mixture of pull throughs & back ins. The pull through sites were not long enough for our 40' MH with the toad. All of the sites have some type of slope. They are in poor condition showing signs of ruts and VERY questionable utility connections. The hook ups appear to have been added on over time with fuses rather than breakers, exposed wires and broken fixtures. The electrical connections were different at each site so we had to hunt for an open site with a 50 AMP connection plug. There were no other amenities at the sites.
Our electrical system started malfunctioning. The refrigerator was the first appliance to show a problem followed by the inverter. It seemed to occur when more guests hooked up to the park's electrical system. As soon as we arrived at a newer park with better utility connections, the problem was corrected.
It seemed that about half of the sites where occupied by long term residents.
There was only a line of trees along the Western side of the park to interfere with satellite reception.
Surprisingly the WiFi connection was good but it required a password.
There wasn't a fenced pet area. There wasn't sufficient space to walk dogs along the park's roads but there was a grassy area between the park and the adjacent restaurant's parking lot. There were no bag dispensers or receptacles around the park to pick up waste.
There was a nearby dumpster to throw away your garbage.
The restroom/showers or laundry room were located in the back of the building that housed another business. They required an access code to enter.
For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter and none of the buildings were designated as shelters.
Would never stay here again! - bsb814
Jun 2016 - $35.00
The only thing this park had going for it was it was close to our work. We stayed for 4 months. Owners showed up twice. The "manager" was unpleasant. He very rarely mowed the grass and told us we would have to turn our air conditioning off during the day. He would also ask campers with our group for extra money or to pay rent with cash. The breakers on a couple of spots kept tripping. If the owners don't take more responsibility in their campground he will certainly run it in the ground. Only 1 washer and dryer. They either took your money or wouldn't wash the clothes properly. If you sat outside your camper after 10 o'clock he would come tell you to go in. The list goes on. If you plan on staying 1 night not horrible. Pipeliners beware; not the ideal place. - Pipeliners 2
Apr 2014 - $33.00
We almost didn't stay here because of the other reviewer's post. I'm so glad we did. After a hot day, the shade was a blessed relief. It's well set back off a quiet road, just a few miles out of town. The park is well looked after, spotless restrooms. We didn't find the driveway to be all that steep. I called the number on the office door, left a message, and they called me back right away. There aren't a lot of activities but that wasn't something we were looking for. - ivansmom
Mar 2012 - $33.00
Way OVERPRICED. We camped in a 30 ft fifth wheel. No one at the office the entire stay and would not be. Told to put the check in the mail slot in the door. Horrible entry road up a steep hill. Wifi, electric worked but 30 amp breaker kicked off with hair dryer. Grass sites, close together most with no table or fire ring. Bathrooms okay but not very clean. Pets were allowed but not outside unless on leash with owner, not tied out when you were inside trailer. There has to be a better place to stay in the area. Will not be back, worth about $10-20. Do not try this in a bigrig or large motorhome you may not be able to negotiate the dirt road and no adequate way to turn around within the location. - YNP Doc
Aug 2018 - $28.00
We stopped ahead of bad weather rolling in on our way home, less than 80 miles away. We called ahead a few miles out to ask about vacancies, and were told to pick any site, and pay with a self pay envelope. Seems to be a nice enough small commercial campground, though it is located behind a truck stop, so there is potential for truck noises during the night, particularly on the row of sites closest to the truck stop (there are 3 rows of pull through spaces). Spaces are wide, with some shade thanks to semi-mature trees, pull throughs are reasonable long, but may be too short for some big rigs. There are 3 or 4 restaurants (casual dining / fast food) options within easy walking distance (1/4 mile). Laundry room looks nice, though only 2 sets of machines, there is also a BBQ pit, and common pavilion room. The night we were there about half the sites were vacant, a few were apparently occupied by long term residents, the power pedestal showed some wear, though nothing excessive, all sites are 30/50 amp. - Isaac-1
Jun 2018 - $31.00
The park is laid out well with plenty of room for large rigs. Pull thru sites are long and easy to access. My site is fairly level. Utilities are good with good water pressure and electric is strong. There are several trees for shade without being a problem for access to the sites. The park only had one other pull thru camper so they just told me to pick the site I liked. The park backs up to a truck stop but, with the ac running, I am not hearing noise from the truck stop. They do not have an onsite attendant so everything is done over the phone. Fill out the pay envelope and place it in the drop box. I will definitely stay here again. My rate reflects the Good Sam discount for daily rate. - gadawg
Apr 2018 - $24.00
Getting in is best done from the south side of the Chevron station...and signage is back from the road because of another business along the road. But the sides are easy to access and spacious with nice shade trees scattered about. Easy access to town and historical sights. Wifi was good; cable is not available any longer, but TV antenna worked well. We stayed a week in a 36' motorhome w/toad. - Lke
Mar 2018 - $30.00
This is about 7 miles off I49 in the middle of nowhere. Gravel roads and sites. No pull thrus. Portapotty for a bathroom. No shower that we could find. Laundry room with 6 washers and dryers, $1.50 each. No management on site. 3 bars on the Wi-Fi. Pretty minimal. No table, no fire ring. Interior road very bumpy, lots of potholes. - Jobud
Aug 2014 - $30.00
This was a very nice and clean RV park. The owners was very helpful and accommodating. They have a laundry room near the back that was spotless, a clean shower/bathroom beside the office that was clean but a little small. Large lots with grass front and back, RV's sat on nice level gravel pads. You have plenty of room to set up in. They welcome all oil field workers and are very close to I-49. Pet friendly and family friendly. I recommend this clean RV park to everyone that likes a country setting. - ShihTzu Crazy
Mar 2014 - $18.00
Rate based on weeks stay. Easy access to I-49 and Shreveport. Nice quiet country park. Wide gravel roads, level offset pads, and plenty of room for slides, awnings etc. Does have laundry, but did not use. Park appears to be transitioning away from a worker's park. Would stay here again. Manager is an RV Mechanic. - Titan Guy
Apr 2017 - $30.00
Nice Laundry facilities and clean bathrooms. Owner available by phone and very responsive to any need. Quiet, peaceful and located near Natchitoches attractions. - John Rivoire
May 2016 - $30.00
Rustic, near everything. Friendly owners. - John Rivoire
Mar 2016 - $30.00
Alright for overnight. Pad not level, required unhooking to level for night. Hookups at front requiring double hoses. Road up the hill rather interesting, glad we did not meet oncoming traffic. Owner not on site, friendly on phone. Overpriced for what it is. Most sites seemed to be long term. - pwdorris
