Coushatta Louisiana Campgrounds
9 RV Parks near Coushatta, Louisiana
Apr 2016 - $30.00
Not sure resort is the word I would use to describe this place, but it's a nice enough campground regardless. Very woodsy with plenty of space between sites, it's well laid out and easy to navigate. Beware that you're in a forest, so trees may likely block satellite reception. We stayed here one night while I transit to Key West and found that it's a bit off the beaten path for an overnight ear. Still, if I were local I probably would enjoy this as a weekend getaway. - ajmurray
Aug 2015 - $25.00
Very clean if you can get a water front slot get it. Has a nice beach and slips to house your boat over night. Also it has accommodating boat launch and very nice facilities. - bigredcherokee
Jan 2013 - $20.00
We like to visit here to get away. The lake is nice and the beach is also nice. The full hookup sites tend to stay full but the dump station allows two trailers to dump at the same time. We have never had to wait long to clean out our holding tanks when it was time to leave. We actually met some really nice people while cleaning out the holding tanks who pointed us to a nice campground on another lake. There is also a nice general store on the premises that serves some really great lunches during the busy season. The trailer sites are concrete and most are fairly level. There is plenty of shade but it makes it difficult to get a satellite signal and TV reception. I have been able to get satellite by using a portable dish and have actually shared my portable dish with the neighbor who had a motor home with the dish on top and couldn't get reception. Cell reception is also poor with both Verizon and AT&T but we were able to use a cell booster to get one. I would highly recommend this campground. Oh yeah, make sure you visit Red River Drug Store and also Nichols Sporting Goods in Coushatta. They have some really unique goods we found making this area really fun for us to visit. - Open Ranger
Mar 2018 - $18.00
Great family camping, relax, kick off your shoes and let the kids run around. Then go to Mim's across the street for catfish. - lwasouth
Mar 2018 - $18.00

Phone out of order sometimes so stop to chk for availability. Very tranquil, nice park. Wifi good. - Sondkr
Nov 2016 - $25.00
Rough interior roads, no level sites. Soft ground at sites, jacks sunk in with no ground support, took an hour to dig out. Large sites. Nice people. 5 miles from town. Would not stay here again. - runamuka
Jan 2016 - $25.00
"Campground" is stretching it. This is a field cleared out of the woods with electric/water/sewer connections. There's wi-fi, but it's VERY slow and spotty. The "site" was grass & dirt, with a little gravel thrown in, but I had to use boards under the levelers so they wouldn't sink into the ground. And the whole place is unlevel; my front wheels are off the ground. "Streets" are graveled paths worn into the ground. From the time you turn off of the highway the gravel road is bumpy, preparing you for the campground "streets". I stayed here because it's the least expensive, believe it or not, of all the campgrounds in the Natchitoches area. It will do as a base because I don't use campground amenities except laundry. - rv1guy2cats
Jul 2013 - $25.00
A relatively new park trying to get established. A nice, very quiet place in the country about 5 miles north of Natchitoches. Good utilities. Turn in on a narrow dirt road with low hanging limbs; they will brush the top of a motorhome. Entrance to park is narrow and very rough, needs grading badly. The entire park is very rough and unlevel, but after trying two sites, we were able to level. The office is not manned, but calling one of the 4 numbers will get someone there by late afternoon to check you in. Friendly, nice people. No issues other than ants; they came home with us. Gravel and tree trimming will make a huge difference. Considering the choices around Natchitoches, it's one of the top 2. - windyridge
Feb 2018 - $40.00
This gated park opened in August of 2017 and is located on the Red River just Northwest of Natchitoches, LA. It has pull through and backin sites large enough for big rigs under full grown oaks and pecan trees. All the interior roads are paved, as are all the sites. Each site is level. It took my Lippert System 30 seconds to level my 41 ft. 5th wheel from turn on to turnoff. Each site has full hook-up as well as Wi-Fi. There is lots of grassy space for kids and dogs, as well as a playground. This is a beautiful park, in pristine condition. Employees were welcoming and helpful. While somewhat out of the way, this is a lovely campground and we will certainly be back. - RomanceWriter
Dec 2017 - $59.00
We were there 12.22-25.17. Beautiful new park operated by the Red River Waterway Commission. Clean sites. Easy maneuvering to your site. Gated park. Free WiFi which is a must for me. We camped in a travel trailer. - Linda Malnar
Dec 2017 - $40.00
This park is operated by the Red River Waterway Commission. It is very clean, actually spotless. The bathrooms are private; individual bathrooms with a toilet, shower and sink. They have a playground for the kids. The sites are easy to get into and level. I believe this park opened in the summer of 2017. They are off to an excellent start. - Mamapapa
Dec 2014 - $33.00
We stayed here for 2 nights to visit the area as there isn't much to choose from.
The park is easy to get to & from I-49 but it is several miles from the Interstate in town.
The park is very small. It is behind a business. The park's office is located at the other park (Nakatosh Campground #1) so you have to go there during the business hours if you want to pay by credit card.
The interior road is gravel. The road is in poor condition and doesn't show signs of being cared for.
The sites are a mixture of pull throughs & back ins. The pull through sites were not long enough for our 40' MH with the toad. All of the sites have some type of slope. They are in poor condition showing signs of ruts and VERY questionable utility connections. The hook ups appear to have been added on over time with fuses rather than breakers, exposed wires and broken fixtures. The electrical connections were different at each site so we had to hunt for an open site with a 50 AMP connection plug. There were no other amenities at the sites.
Our electrical system started malfunctioning. The refrigerator was the first appliance to show a problem followed by the inverter. It seemed to occur when more guests hooked up to the park's electrical system. As soon as we arrived at a newer park with better utility connections, the problem was corrected.
It seemed that about half of the sites where occupied by long term residents.
There was only a line of trees along the Western side of the park to interfere with satellite reception.
Surprisingly the WiFi connection was good but it required a password.
There wasn't a fenced pet area. There wasn't sufficient space to walk dogs along the park's roads but there was a grassy area between the park and the adjacent restaurant's parking lot. There were no bag dispensers or receptacles around the park to pick up waste.
There was a nearby dumpster to throw away your garbage.
The restroom/showers or laundry room were located in the back of the building that housed another business. They required an access code to enter.
For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter and none of the buildings were designated as shelters.
Would never stay here again! - bsb814
Jun 2016 - $35.00
The only thing this park had going for it was it was close to our work. We stayed for 4 months. Owners showed up twice. The "manager" was unpleasant. He very rarely mowed the grass and told us we would have to turn our air conditioning off during the day. He would also ask campers with our group for extra money or to pay rent with cash. The breakers on a couple of spots kept tripping. If the owners don't take more responsibility in their campground he will certainly run it in the ground. Only 1 washer and dryer. They either took your money or wouldn't wash the clothes properly. If you sat outside your camper after 10 o'clock he would come tell you to go in. The list goes on. If you plan on staying 1 night not horrible. Pipeliners beware; not the ideal place. - Pipeliners 2
Apr 2014 - $33.00
We almost didn't stay here because of the other reviewer's post. I'm so glad we did. After a hot day, the shade was a blessed relief. It's well set back off a quiet road, just a few miles out of town. The park is well looked after, spotless restrooms. We didn't find the driveway to be all that steep. I called the number on the office door, left a message, and they called me back right away. There aren't a lot of activities but that wasn't something we were looking for. - ivansmom
Mar 2012 - $33.00
Way OVERPRICED. We camped in a 30 ft fifth wheel. No one at the office the entire stay and would not be. Told to put the check in the mail slot in the door. Horrible entry road up a steep hill. Wifi, electric worked but 30 amp breaker kicked off with hair dryer. Grass sites, close together most with no table or fire ring. Bathrooms okay but not very clean. Pets were allowed but not outside unless on leash with owner, not tied out when you were inside trailer. There has to be a better place to stay in the area. Will not be back, worth about $10-20. Do not try this in a bigrig or large motorhome you may not be able to negotiate the dirt road and no adequate way to turn around within the location. - YNP Doc
Apr 2017 - $32.00
It's hard to find (incomplete directions and poor signage). The hosts are not available. At first I thought it was just a fluke, but truly, there was no service except by cell phone. I was given incomplete wifi information even after repeated calls. I was never given any printed information so I didn't even realized there were bathroom codes. One of the washers had been reported as broken, and nothing was done, so when I used it, the same problem occurred (It happened that the camper who reported it came to the laundry when I was dealing with the problem.) It's too bad, because the campground is in a great location and rather pretty with big sites, but I wouldn't come again. - pbnana4
Mar 2016 - $30.00
There is very little choice of campgrounds in the area. We were traveling through the area and needed a place for the night. Getting into the campground was somewhat difficult due to the access road. The park was behind a truck stop and it was noisy all night from the diesel engines. We later learned that access could be made through the truck stop and that is how we left the park. The park itself was filled with mostly long term residents. The restrooms were clean and accessible with a pass code. (That we obtained by returning to the office, only to learn that it was posted on a white board outside the office door.) Not much security. It was easy to navigate around the park but the sites were not well-marked. The power pedestal was questionable as the door was not well-secured. Water pressure changed as more campers arrived and hooked up. Would not return. - grandma0942
Dec 2014 - $31.00
This campground has two locations. The office is at Campground 1. We camped at Campground 2 located behind a commercial building on a busy highway. The single restroom and laundry room are in this building. The location, on the shore of Lake Sibley, is beautiful. It is disappointing the quality of the campground does not match the location. Poorly defined sites with hookups randomly scattered about on a dirt and gravel lot. Piles of trash here and there and a couple of dilapidated structures containing trash and junk. There was also several long term tenants with equipment, etc. stacked outside their RV's. We were here during the Natchitoches Christmas Festival so the campground was full. Because the sites are so disorderly, people arriving first parked however their rig best fit making it difficult for the later arrivals to navigate - a couple of large rigs gave up and went elsewhere. After registering online, we received no confirmation of having a particular site assigned nor directions. When we arrived, there was no one in the office and it took multiple calls to reach anyone. When we did, the person did not have access to the registration information and told us to take a certain site only to later find this had been given to someone else. In short, this is a junky, poorly managed campground. We will go somewhere else if ever in Natchitoches again. - judb
Mar 2018 - $30.00
This is about 7 miles off I49 in the middle of nowhere. Gravel roads and sites. No pull thrus. Portapotty for a bathroom. No shower that we could find. Laundry room with 6 washers and dryers, $1.50 each. No management on site. 3 bars on the Wi-Fi. Pretty minimal. No table, no fire ring. Interior road very bumpy, lots of potholes. - Jobud
Aug 2014 - $30.00
This was a very nice and clean RV park. The owners was very helpful and accommodating. They have a laundry room near the back that was spotless, a clean shower/bathroom beside the office that was clean but a little small. Large lots with grass front and back, RV's sat on nice level gravel pads. You have plenty of room to set up in. They welcome all oil field workers and are very close to I-49. Pet friendly and family friendly. I recommend this clean RV park to everyone that likes a country setting. - ShihTzu Crazy
Mar 2014 - $18.00
Rate based on weeks stay. Easy access to I-49 and Shreveport. Nice quiet country park. Wide gravel roads, level offset pads, and plenty of room for slides, awnings etc. Does have laundry, but did not use. Park appears to be transitioning away from a worker's park. Would stay here again. Manager is an RV Mechanic. - Titan Guy
Apr 2017 - $30.00
Nice Laundry facilities and clean bathrooms. Owner available by phone and very responsive to any need. Quiet, peaceful and located near Natchitoches attractions. - John Rivoire
Mar 2016 - $30.00
Alright for overnight. Pad not level, required unhooking to level for night. Hookups at front requiring double hoses. Road up the hill rather interesting, glad we did not meet oncoming traffic. Owner not on site, friendly on phone. Overpriced for what it is. Most sites seemed to be long term. - pwdorris
Sep 2015 - $30.00
Nice atmosphere, friendly people, clean grounds. Easy access to town. Watch carefully for the sign on the highway, it's a little hard to see. Enjoyed our stay and would go back. - D Autrey
