Nice campground next to casino about 20 miles north of 1-10 near Lake Charles. There is a shuttle to/from casino. Roads and site pad are paved. Pull thru sites are close together with a picnic table, grass and some have small trees. Wifi is good. Roads in campground are wide and easy to maneuver around. - Tom Willing
Oct 2018 - $30.00
As usual we had a long, pull through, FHU site with a cement pad and patio with a table. Unfortunately it was not level and the utilities were not well placed for our Class C. There is cable TV and I believe all sites are satellite friendly. We were here for just Friday night, but the park was only half full, so the Wi-Fi worked OK and I did not notice the usual weekend rowdy behavior that management does nothing to thwart. The recreational facilities, bathroom, and laundry are good. Typical of the area, there is no recycling. - Jerry S

Loved this park. We've been here 2-3 times and they were Never crowded. the DW likes going to the casino, so she has a membership card, I think that's why we got a good rate, even before using our discount, LOL. But we also have AAA, Good Sam and my military Discount (you can only use one) which KOA does not Honor. Everything was clean, pristine and quiet. We loved the swimming pool and my 16 yr old loved the basketball court and the aforementioned swimming pool. We will definitely make this one of our GO TO campgrounds. Every time we travel east we will be sure to stop there.
Whether you like gambling at the Casino or not, this is a top notch Must-visit Camp ground. You can only stay 2 weeks at a time. CG occupants can use all the Casino property facilities even the Huge Water park with Lazy river and 2 big water slides across the property. They provide shuttle service to every corner of the property. - Spacetraveler

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Pay E Bas. Our stay lasted for about 9 days, and we fished in the stocked ponds (no luck) bar-b-qued under the pavilion, which was complete with picnic tables (and a big bar-b-que pit!), had burgers at the Mom & Pop burger stand, which is run by the park owners, and basically had a great time. There is also a small store on-site, where you can buy fishing tackle, staples and copious amounts of alcohol;-) The only downside to this park is that nothing is paved, and there is no cable, no wi-fi and all of those modern creature comforts. But, hey, you're camping, right? The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and drive through the park regularly, making sure all is well, and that their guests are enjoying their stay. We will certainly be visiting this park again. - heavenslilgift
Sep 2018 - $35.00
The place is too high for the bad conditions. There's a dirt road leading to the river sites that needs to be fixed. Messy and muddy. Plus there's no leash law and walk outside and dogs have pooped all over the place. Nasty. No cell phone signal for Verizon customers no internet service. Just a nasty place full of funky smells. If you don't have to stay there please find somewhere else to stay. - Sartor
Feb 2012 - $19.00
The River Bend RV Park in Kinder, LA is a new park on the Calcasieu River. It is clean, quiet, and a perfect place for a family to camp. It is within driving distance of grocery stores, golf course, restaurants, and a casino. - rsm

Pot holes, mud, and Dog POOP. Doesn't anyone pick up after their dog? Stayed here a few years ago and this place is headed down the Dumper literally ! Sewer top ring was busted, couldn't screw our connector on, had to weight it down. Power was reading from 114-118. - magic
Oct 2018 - $22.00
Decided to try this headed west on I-10. This is clearly not a destination park. sites were tight and almost all appeared to be permanent residents and workers living out of RV's. No one in office and just had us fill out an envelope with cash for Passport America (never saw a real person). They charged $22 although PPA site said $20. 10 miles off I-10. Site was level, water pressure ok and voltage was 116-118 volts. Appeared to be a decent laundry although we didn't use. Free wifi was ok but had to reconnect a few times. Vzw cell was 2-3 bars lte. Dirt road was bumpy and site was muddy after recent rains. Would not go 20 miles out of my way to return here again. - HomeOnWheels_US
Jun 2018 - $22.00
Stayed here overnight. No one working (Sat.), had to call number on window and was told where to put camper and put money thru the door slot. Bathrooms were absolutely terrible (no toilet paper in either, lights not working or burned out, not clean). We were the only overnight people. Never stayed in a worse campground. - Greg Hanson
Aug 2013 - $50.00
They are too strict; they will lock the bathroom for 4 days if you accidentally leave it open once. Wi-Fi doesn't work very well. They need more washers and dryers. The people that live here are very nosy and stare at you like your crazy. The manager does not bleach the bathroom shower and there is only one for 20+ people. And the toilet looks horrible and the seat is broke, there is never soap to wash your hands or paper towels. There is never toilet paper. Its just somewhere I would not recommend or stay here ever again. - mrs.to.be.
May 2013 - $20.00
Clean, friendly, easy access to park and town is right off IH10. The highway traffic was not an issue, when you sit outside you can see it but you don't hear it. Would camp here again! - cuz
Feb 2010 - $20.00
The previous review was obviously written by owner or close friends. This park is clean, has full hook-ups, no cable, no Wi-Fi, and is a former FEMA camp from Katrina. Half dozen FEMA mobiles and same number of RVs,mostly guys working in Jennings area. It is right along the I-10 and there is LOTS of truck noise 24/7. No washroom or other facilities. No owner/manager on site. You call a number and he tells you where to park. Lots of rain made the field a bog, so he told us to park on a cement pad. No turnaround room at end of road and no pull-throughs. Jennings is a poor Lousiana town, has a Wal-Mart and a small grocery store, couple of restaurants and that's it. There is a better looking park about 20 miles east. We didn't feel unsafe, but not really safe either. - CanCat
Nov 2018 - $35.00
Very old park. Pot holes all over. Not much money being put into park for upkeep. Will not be staying there again. - Delhomme Theresa
Jan 2018 - $35.00
We stayed here since we had a family function nearby. Because it was a quiet weekend for the park (i.e. no bands or other events) we were allowed to stay just one night. Staff was great when I called to make the reservations. No online booking here but a quick email or phone call make it very easy to book. Our spot (252) was level and easy to pull into. It was raining so we don't know about shade. - cjnexp
Jul 2016 - $38.00
We stayed here for 3 nights. We where told our spots where shady. We were in direct sun light all day. Very little shade here. The beach was nice and music good.
Little bit of a partying place, if you like that scene, lot of golf carts riding all day. Kids where having a great time here. At quiet time I was impressed that everything did get silent. Not a very big campground. - lovegun
Apr 2018 - $20.00
Very fast check in. Very helpful, friendly staff. Level pull through site. Nothing fancy but had all we needed. Even a pond for my dog to play in. - Bruvtravels
Mar 2018 - $20.00
We were first escorted to a site that was wet with smelly water. We asked for a different site - and it was fine. This campground needs quite a bit of TLC. Many of the trailers are quite run down. It's fine to get off the highway, but that's about it. - CJVJn1Doug
Jun 2017 - $20.00
Excellent WIFI. Pine trees are low hanging and no way to avoid them. Drainage ditches can make some turns difficult for larger rigs. It had just rained when we arrived so there were large puddles we had to drive through. He said they try to keep it graded, but hard to keep up with all the rain they had been getting. Very friendly employees and accommodating. - Liz I.
Apr 2018 - $17.00
Very clean campground with friendly owners. Had to back in so we had to unhook our car. Hookups were towards the back. Cable and WiFi were not great, but it was an overnight stop and a nice campground. - quilt lady
Mar 2018 - $17.00
Passport rate of 17.15, lots of road noise, cable and Wi-Fi were satisfactory, hookups at the back of the site. Sites very close together, just outside of Eunice. - DBSnowbirds
Jul 2016 - $15.00
Nice facility and grounds. Several long term RV's. Laundry only had 2 washers/dryers, need more!! Pool a bit dirty after busy weekend. Staff very friendly! WiFi was not great
Good Verizon coverage. - Sunneee
May 2018 - $13.00
Stayed from Feb 2 until now due to work. Low monthly rate of $375/month, full hookup, 30/50 amp service, wifi, clean laundry & showers/bathroom. Pond for fishing. Pool just repaired and repainted for the season... very nice. Very hospitable staff. He's doing many updates on cabins and property. 4 miles from hospital. Close to shopping and good food. Not too far from things to do & see. Gonna miss this when we move on. We really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay here again. - RV RN
Feb 2017 - $24.00
Passing through here we stayed one night and may stay a couple more. The people behind the counter were very friendly and made check-in very easy. She said just go pick out a site and pull in. Price is reasonable for a full hookup, we would definitely stay here again. The highway is a little noisy and it's a little rough around the edges ,but not too bad. Let's just say that it's got Cajun character. - Big Sam
Sep 2015 - $21.00
