This site is a bit off the main road on a nice lake with swim beaches and hiking trails all over the place. The sites are not all that level but we got a nice flat one. The "single" sites are all a bit tight and if you have slides on both sides you may want to go into one of their double sites and pay the extra $5. This is a National FS CG and we had the old farts card and only paid $7.50. I found out as we were leaving that they want you to pay $9/night. The bath rooms were clean and Verizon Wi-Fi worked very, very slowly. For being out in the woods you could hear a lot of distant car, plane, train, and boat noise. Nothing too disturbing, but it was always there. They have a new play ground for the kids. Lots of hiking/biking trails. All and all a nice CG. Paved roads and pads. We camped at Kincaid Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

We stayed in this isolated park for four days. Since it's a national park, they accepted our golden access card and only charged us $9.50/night. The pads were blacktopped and fairly level, and the hookups were conveniently located. The roads into the campground were paved all the way from La. Highway 28. We rarely saw a ranger and the park was never over one-half full. The fishing is great. There are sites for swimming and even a fishing pier. There is a dump station located on the road into the park. The city of Alexandria is 19.1 miles away from the campground. We'll definitely stay here again. We camped at Kincaid Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Great NF park. Stayed four days and loved it. The rest rooms had AC, not bad for a NF park. Only negative is there is only one shower in each of the rooms. We camped at Kincaid Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice secluded campground. The pads are clean with new electrical panels with 50A, 30A, and 20A outlets. The sites are all shaded. There is a new playground equipped with slides and swings for the kids next to the bath house. There are over 31 miles of hiking trails in the national forest that this campground is in. We camped at Kincaid Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.
