3 Parks near Grand Isle, Louisiana
Dec 2013 - $12.00
Update from earlier visit..... Limited space for big rigs (perhaps 1 or 2). We are in a 40 foot MH and earlier visit was in a 40 foot FW. As stated in earlier review - great place to stay if you are a fisherman/woman. Located right on a canal leading from the gulf to the bay. Lighted fishing pier. Concrete pads. Elmer's Island is now open to the public for some great surf fishing and this campground is very close. This is not a fancy campground but it is clean and friendly. Primary attractions are the beach and great fishing. - Lenp
Dec 2010 - $12.00
Daily rate based on monthly stay. Park does not cater to overnight stays - weekly/monthly only. Located right on the canal leading to Elmer's Island so great fishing for red fish, flounder and speckled trout right from the park. Big rigs may have difficulty getting parked - only one pull through. Concrete slab throughout. Proprietor is very friendly. Beach is about one and a half miles away. - Lenp
Mar 2016 - $20.00
This is a great State RV Park. There were only a few visitors at this time of year. The restroom showers are a good walk from the interior RV sites, but the RV Park is right behind the dunes next to the Gulf. The mosquitos at dusk were a nuisance, but that is to be expected in Louisiana. If you are a fisherman, this is a great park. - Alicenpete
Oct 2015 - $20.00
Park was clean and well kept. The sites were large paved areas that accommodated our 30 foot camper and two trucks with kayaks loaded in the back. Beach was clean, water was clear. The fishing pier was lighted and well maintained. I used the washer and dryer (coin operated) and they worked fine. WiFi was good signal for normal web surfing but couldn't download movies. There is not much to do here but fishing and beach. I enjoyed the quiet beach and bird watching. Bring LOTS of mosquito spray. - Belle62
Jul 2015 - $22.00
This was a very clean park. We had nice neighbors, a gulf breeze, and clean bathrooms. It is hard to find public restrooms kept as clean as these, I am impressed. The beach had a little bit of litter, other than that the park was spotless.
It was quiet at night. The staff was very sweet and accommodating, (except for one grumpy host, but I figure he was just having a bad day).
The fishing pier was awesome, I spent most of one whole day there crabbing & fishing. We will be back!! - The Riots

This is a small park on Grand Isle. The whole park consists of a lot within a residential/commercial area. All sites are on concrete pads. The parking lot which the sites surround is comprised of gravel and broken shells. The office/owners residence sits atop the laundry facility. The laundry facility is available to the public. The rate shown reflects an Escapee discount.
I'd have rated this campground higher but the wifi is non-existent. A router in the owners kitchen qualifies for their claimed wifi. There is no cable TV, although we did get a good Direct TV signal with our dish. And, there are no breakers on the site power connection. - 15243
Feb 2014 - $25.00
Small friendly park with owners who go out of their way to make you feel at home. They will provide you with all the information you want regarding sightseeing, fishing, and even the history of the area. A fun place to stay. I will definitely stay here if I am back in Grand Isle. - Saddle Tramp 65
Apr 2013 - $15.00
We are giving this RV Park a "10" for Excellent (for "our purposes"). We are full timers, retired and enjoy "adult RV Parks." No pool, kids slides, etc - just a nice parking spot. Group Campfire was next to us and almost every night folks sat around enjoying Grand Isle. If only the owners of some of the other parks we have stayed in could be 1/2 as nice as these folks. Everything stated above about them is true. We came for 2 weeks and spent a whole month - $100 a week. If you are looking for an "action packed" RV Park or city - don't go to Grand Isle. If you like the ultimate "kick back life style" you will be in luck. Beach is just across the street and a morning walk (or run) is just beautiful. - User2881
