This is a summertime family oriented RV resort. The Resort was almost empty since it was "off season". The sites are very large with long, wide concrete pads and large grassy areas between sites. There are a lot of ducks, so there are a lot of duck droppings. There were restaurants near by, but not in walking distance; some deliver to your site. The resort is very nice. There is a huge children's pool area, an adult pool, volley ball courts, playgrounds, etc. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed overnight on our way to Florida, and the park was conveniently located off I-10. Easy check in and escort to our site. This resort has everything: hot tub, pool, two bars, movie theater! We ordered Cajun food from a place that delivered to our RV and that was great. It was quite empty being August, I'm sure its quite full & active during the winter months. We would stay again as a stop over. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice clean open RV park convenient to I-10. Roads are narrow concrete and pads are long level concrete with grass between sites. Security gate. Most sites are pull through 50 amp FHU with no trees. There is a pool with slides and mini golf on site. They used to escort you to your site but no more. A big negative for me is they want to charge you $5 per day for each devise for basic WiFi! I travel all over the country and no park has WiF charges except this one at any parks I have been to in years. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Great resort with lots of amenities. We have stayed here multiple times throughout the past few years. There is a great atmosphere, though it gets pretty crowded on the weekends. The spots are spacious and concreted with a nice grassy area in between. It is a little pricey, but worth it. WiFi is available, but at a premium. The kids love the water park. The resort is currently adding a lazy river onto the property. There is a dinosaur park and go-cart track nearby, which is accessible by golf cart. The staff is friendly and professional. We stayed here in our 30' RV - multiple times. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

I would recommend staying during the week, if possible, to avoid the large crowds. The dinosaur park and go-cart track are pricey, but worth a look. There is also a great restaurant adjacent to the park. The city of Lafayette, LA is nearby and has a lot to offer, too.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here a week in a 42 foot 5th wheel and it was interesting how quiet it was from Mon-Thurs, then the week-end started and it was family time with a lot of kids and pets. We stayed in a pull thru that was excellent in size with concrete pad/patio. Nice wide grass buffers between neighbors. The picnic tables could be renovated, but everything worked with no issues. Nice power pedestal in good location for power and cable TV with no issues. Nice location for sewer with good screw in connector for a tight fit. Price includes a week of internet (purchased separately). The pool areas for family/kids was very nice. The work-out center needs better aerobic machines (ellipticals) and needs to have better access hours. The roads are well maintained but kind of tight. Surprising since the RV sites are so wide. We had excellent trees on both sides of the site for good sunscreen. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice area with WalMart 7 miles away. Excellent swamp tours within 10 miles of park. Avery Island is 45 miles away where Tabasco is produced and they have good tours. Nice botanical gardens in New Iberia at Rip Van Winkles Gardens. Plenty of restaurants nearby but food is only ok.

Cajun Palms is definitely a resort in the full sense of the word. Whether you enjoy lounging by the pool, taking your children to the waterpark or playground, playing putt-putt golf ($5.00 fee), playing beach or water volleyball, fishing, visiting with friends at the bar, or sitting in the spa, there seems to be something for everybody. And believe me...there are LOTS of everybodies there! When the park is full, there are golf carts and kids on bikes, skateboards, and hoverboards everywhere and at all hours! Never mind that there are two pages of rules about when and where to ride said devices, or the loudness of music, many of the guests do not seem to adhere to them. This is no fault of the park...rules just are not followed, and seemingly too much to monitor. (Be very cautious when driving your car into the park and to your site after dark.) Despite the party feel throughout the day, people do seem to quiet down by late night. Concrete sites are long and wide and include the usual full hook-ups, cable tv, and a picnic table (many could use replacing). No Wi-Fi however; must be purchased separately. The office has a small convenience store for its guests. There are also laundry and shower facilities on the property. Roads within the rows of sites are a bit tight for 45' coaches when pulling out of sites, but certainly doable. There are also cabins for rent at the resort for those who do not have an RV. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

If you like to have fun at the weekend this campground is pretty good, if you didn't like party stay away from Friday to Sunday! We stay only one night from Monday to Tuesday at this campground and it was very quiet. The restrooms and showers are very old and need some renovations, also a blower instead of paper towels and to charge the guests $5 per night for wifi is not state of the art. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park was like 2 different parks on the weekend and during the week. The weekend was full of families and lots of kids, many golf carts running around and lots of music (sometimes quit loud). During the week it was a quiet nice park with big pool area and club house. The bath house was mostly clean but watch out for the slippery ledge at the shower entrance. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stopped here without a reservation and spent two nights. This is a very large campground with what appears to be nice facilities. Only complaint is there were many empty spots but we were given one right next to other campers. They do have events throughout the year so seems to be good for families. We just missed Mardi Gras parade which neighbors enjoyed. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Site was not long enough for fifth wheel and truck. We walked to Crawfish Town and had excellent lunch, try the crawfish enchiladas. Also went to Bayou Teche Brewery for tasting. Very nice and friendly. Not officially open for the day but very accommodating for drop ins.

This is a park with two personalities. I have been here over a weekend when the invasion of golf carts and partiers are rampant. I would not come here again during that period again. However, as a stop over or mid week couple of nights this is an excellent facility. All concrete pads and roads, large pull thru, great service, export to the space. And it does have excellent facilities when not over run. Close to the interstate. Close to a lot of restaurants and interesting places to see. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cajun Palms RV Resort is a beautiful, full service RV park just north of I-10 near Henderson, Louisiana. They have 350 full hookup RV sites. There are three pools, jacuzzi, swim up bar, Tiki bar, miniature golf, fishing ponds, meeting rooms and exercise room. Cabins available for rent. Several nearby restaurants within walking distance. Walmart is 5 miles west in Breaux Bridge. Great park for extended stays or just overnight. We were very impressed. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We met two other couples the week after Christmas and stayed in sites 154, 153, and 165? 154 and 155 were along the lake, but back in sites where our coach almost hung over the water. Site had a lot of lean but was wide enough for our 3 slide coach. Power and sewer connections where midway of site which required extensions. If you are looking for peace, quiet, and clean, NOT the park to go to! Loud music continually, drunks abound, vehicles parked in the roads, duck poop all over the site - can you tell how little we enjoyed it ?!? With the water park it is more suited to kids than anything else...and with all the fields and water, imagine mosquitos and bugs would be a real problem in the heat of the summer. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.
