This is another well kept LA state park. Sites are quite spacious. Laundry is free and they have a small book exchange too. Nice boat dock which is accessible from both ends of the campground. - MSSW
Nov 2017 - $29.00
This is a lovely state park that is quite a distance from any amenities. The sites are well spaced and well-appointed with wooden deck for the picnic table. Our site had great views of the pleasant lake. The only problem that we had was that our water facet leaked significantly, so that it had a big wet, muddy puddle when we arrived, making hookup very messy. We just used the water faucet to fill our holding tank and did not leave it on to continue flooding. Other than that all utilities were good. We were able to find a place down by the lake where we could set up our portable dish and get DirecTV satellite. We had good strong Verizon data and voice. They did have WiFi that sort of worked some of the time. Other than at check-in, we did not have any dealings with the staff and did really see any presence in the campground. However, it was a nice pleasant, calm experience. We would certainly camp here again if looking for a quiet getaway. - TheJim
Sep 2017 - $16.00
Our site (52) was lakeside, shady and spacious. Each site has a nice wooden deck adjacent to the pad. There was sufficient downed limbs and twigs in the area for a nice campfire in the evening. WiFi was slow but adequate. - StJohn

Good place for an over-night stop. Called for a reservation and all the woman wanted to know was when we would arrive and the kind of RV we had. When we arrived she escorted us to a pull-thru site with our front windshield looking at the pond that had been marked with a cone. Some of the sites have wooden patios. We did not use any of the facilities. Our site was clean and tidy but there are some full-time residents whose sites could use some attention. Our site had good AT&T service and clear sight for Dish. There was a road noise and an occasional train. The roads were dirt and gravel and some grade to and from the loops. We would stay there again. - SoonerMom
Feb 2018 - $25.00
We stayed here twice, once on the way to Dallas for a wedding, and then again on the way out of Dallas. It is right off of I-20, easy access into the park. The roads in the park are a little rough, some potholes and tight turns. Check in both times was fast and friendly. We stayed in B-36 both stays, it is the perfect site. A level, gravel pull through with full hookups and no issues with any of them. The site is on top of a hill with a large wooden deck (most sites have one) with a picnic table and a nice view of the stocked pond. It was plenty long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car.
There are a number of permanent residents, some are a little rough. There is some trash laying around, but on our second visit it seemed some of it had been picked up. There are two permanent residents that never clean up after their dogs and of course it was always right in front of our RV. With all of that we did enjoy our stay. There is road noise, you will have that with easy access to the highway and a loud train. We stayed February 20-27, 2018 and again March 8-11, 2018. Did not use the laundry or bathrooms. WiFi was spotty and our Verizon signal was just okay. There is some road noise and a train. We paid $125 weekly rate first stop and $25.00 a night the second stop with our Good Sam Discount. - BarrettsHappyTrails
Nov 2017 - $30.00
Another lovely campground on our travels. Simple. Easy pull thru. (Site B-36) Almost perfectly level. 10 min setup. Even have our own deck with a picnic table. Good Sams Club park, even though I forgot to let them know and get my discount. Just here for a quick night. Gravel hilly roads, but it's packed firmly enough. We didn't use the bathrooms. Hubby is never excited when there is no cable, but the antenna picked up enough clear channels. The WIFI was wonderful, but we are also parked right under the park repeater. So that certainly helps. :) It certainly deserves 5 stars because the lady that took care of us was prompt and friendly, the site was easily accessible, and we were last minute reservations, just off I20. Besides, WHAT A HUGE SITE! With a view! And a deck! What more could people want? - WebErika

Stayed here for one night because we had to. Sites are out in a grass field with no runners. Extremely un-level. No cable, No Wi-Fi. Had to hunt someone down to pay for the night. Did not feel safe. Will not be camping here again. - aw wall
Mar 2010 - $24.00
Roads are dirt and gravel. Sites are dirt and grass. We had a large pull through which did not receive 50 amp service without a wire across the coach. Lake view was very nice with lots of geese. It was very dusty and could be muddy with rain. The roads in and out were very bumpy and the hook-ups looked rather outdated with dangling wrap, etc. Some large dogs were running loose. No problems with satellite or Verizon signals. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The park was fairly empty when we stayed but you will want to check the website for the bargain shopping weekends (usually the second or third weekend of the month) which will attract large crowds and affect availability. - BigRigTravelerUSA

Just a nice little national forest campground, right off of US84, but little traffic noise. Large shady sites with grills and tables, but no amenities except for port-a-potties. Short walk down to a small fishing lake with more tables and benches. - housecar

Fantastic park on a little lake, hiking trails, clean sites, paved roads, and very nice all around park. Had a view of the lake, beach, and woods. Enjoyed walking around the lake and into the trails. Water pressure and flow was the best we have ever had in many many years. No activities but we would love to spend many weeks here just relaxing. - dalenoel
Mar 2018 - $25.00
Great little park on pretty lake. All 33 sites FHU, first-come first-served. Caution: Many of the sites that are lakeside are very close together side-to-side and some will only accommodate smaller RVs. The park is upgrading the sites, though, building them up and out so they are more spacious. The ones on the inside of the loop are definitely roomier (pull-throughs 7, 10, 15, 24 and back-ins 22, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33). I was in site 33 which was higher in elevation than most and was able to pull in a few over-the-air TV channels. Verizon signal was OK. Walmart nearby. Very handy to I-20. - aowcarol
Mar 2018 - $25.00
We stayed in the half moon pull thru site 24. One would think for the money spent to make a nice concrete site they would have made it level. My MH's leveling jacks raised the passengers side tires off the ground. Other than that what a great park, I would stay there again if in the area. I can see it very full later on in the year. Power was good but no OTA tv. - rving4fun
