7 RV Parks near Lake Arthur, Louisiana
May 2016 - $35.00
We stayed the weekend during the Regatta, had long time reservations & were given an excellent location. Brother-in-law was beside us in a 43' Motorhome.
Staff were very helpful, the store carries tobacco products, ice & other amenities making it convenient.
It was a grass pad, campers were close & we brought a boat. - JSRFrench
Feb 2013 - $23.00
Great campground! Not elegant, just down home friendly. Sewer, water and electricity work fine. Great sunrises, quiet. Loved it! - John McK
Mar 2011 - $21.00
Nice and secluded. A gem of a park. Facilities are spread out all over so bring extra hoses. No Verizon cell service, good satellite both TV & Data. Not much to do in the area just a good place to relax and take in the sun and have some good down time. Owner is very friendly and helpful. We would come back again. - idahojoat
Apr 2011 - $25.00
This is a small RV Park & Marina just south of the town of Lake Arthur on the Mermentau River. River sites are available. No restrooms. No Wi-Fi. Verizon cell phone does not work here or in town but AT&T does. Marina available for almost any size boat even up to 100'. $25 day/$125 week/$225 + elect month. Marina $3 foot + electric month. - Capn Kenny and Nancy Sallee
Aug 2013 - $50.00
They are too strict; they will lock the bathroom for 4 days if you accidentally leave it open once. Wi-Fi doesn't work very well. They need more washers and dryers. The people that live here are very nosy and stare at you like your crazy. The manager does not bleach the bathroom shower and there is only one for 20+ people. And the toilet looks horrible and the seat is broke, there is never soap to wash your hands or paper towels. There is never toilet paper. Its just somewhere I would not recommend or stay here ever again. - mrs.to.be.
May 2013 - $20.00
Clean, friendly, easy access to park and town is right off IH10. The highway traffic was not an issue, when you sit outside you can see it but you don't hear it. Would camp here again! - cuz
Feb 2010 - $20.00
The previous review was obviously written by owner or close friends. This park is clean, has full hook-ups, no cable, no Wi-Fi, and is a former FEMA camp from Katrina. Half dozen FEMA mobiles and same number of RVs,mostly guys working in Jennings area. It is right along the I-10 and there is LOTS of truck noise 24/7. No washroom or other facilities. No owner/manager on site. You call a number and he tells you where to park. Lots of rain made the field a bog, so he told us to park on a cement pad. No turnaround room at end of road and no pull-throughs. Jennings is a poor Lousiana town, has a Wal-Mart and a small grocery store, couple of restaurants and that's it. There is a better looking park about 20 miles east. We didn't feel unsafe, but not really safe either. - CanCat
Jun 2017 - $20.00
Excellent WIFI. Pine trees are low hanging and no way to avoid them. Drainage ditches can make some turns difficult for larger rigs. It had just rained when we arrived so there were large puddles we had to drive through. He said they try to keep it graded, but hard to keep up with all the rain they had been getting. Very friendly employees and accommodating. - Liz I.
Jun 2013 - $20.00
Just passing through, this is a great over night stop. Long wide pull throughs, good power and WIFI. Call park for directions. Though right off the freeway, GPS directs you to a old campground on the south side of I-10 that is no longer in business. This park is on the NORTH side of I-10. Manager very friendly and escorted us to our site. I wouldn't call it a destination spot but would definitely return when passing through. Bathrooms and laundry need work. - mserafin
May 2013 - $20.00
Very close to I-10 exit, easy off-on. Out in the country. Gravel roads & sites. Level. Long pull-throughs. Open, no big trees to interfere with satellite. Small lake for fishing. Not glamorous, but we liked it. $20 was right for amenities. Big rigs cannot make turn at end of roads 3 & 4 because of drop off into ditch, so only go down first two streets after lake, BEFORE telephone pole on right. We will go back. - In The Moment
Jun 2017 - $50.00
Not positive on nightly rate. We needed a month maybe 2 stay. Most parks in the Lake Charles area are full, and only a couple we would consider staying at because they are very subpar. Cypress Bend is very nicely kept and they checked us in and helped us find a great pull thru site. Lots are very close, ranging from sunny and open, to some shade. Site surface is a concrete pad and features a picnic table and patio. If you need an overnight stop or monthly, this is a great choice. - Land Yacht Ahoy
Nov 2016 - $47.00
Not a destination park. Located a couple hundred yards off I-10 and also a Love's and Pilot travel center at same exit. a few restaurants in walking distance. It was clean and convenient, but overpriced for what it was. We did get a cement pad pull-thru which was fairly level and long enough that we didn't have to unhook our Jeep, making it easier the next morning. Check in was friendly and efficient and the place is gated for security. Sites were a little tight and there were a fair amount of seasonals or long timers but also 1 nighters like us, passing through going east or west on I-10. WIFI was free, but hard to stay connected and wouldn't give out an IP at times (overloaded). Verizon was 5 bars LTE. Although we thought it overpriced, it was very convenient and served our purpose well. - HomeOnWheels_US
Oct 2016 - $52.00
There is an onsite laundry room with about 8 or 10 washers and an equal amount of dryers. They appear to work fine. Very easy access on and off I-10. The community is gated so you feel safe, especially if your family travels with you. The park has a clean appearance. The connections are located on the side, easy access. The pull thru are very level, easy to maneuver around. There is enough space to have your rig, your truck to haul the rig and then a 2nd smaller car. Each pull thru has a picnic table and a small grill. That was nice.
This is one of those places where you think "this campground is great" and then when you deal with some of the employees there, you just can't wait to leave. Half of the employees were professional and courteous, the other half was rude, very rude. Not just "having a bad day" type of rude, but the rudeness that is part of a person's personality. When we asked questions about the park and local area, as part of the response we received a nasty attitude, an eye-roll and the cutting verbal response... every time with this employee. How sad, it costs nothing to be polite to paying customers. Especially when they are out-of-towners that approach an employee with a courteous greeting & kind manner. Just for that, I wont return. I prefer to give me money and my business to a more-deserving campground. - Dan_on_the_road
Sep 2016 - $20.00
We stayed for 8 months. Owners very nice, helpful. Constantly working to improve park. This is a little gem off the beaten path but close to everything. We paid monthly $325.00, full hookup, no cable, we used antenna and satellite dish. - Mrs Galloway
Aug 2016 - $20.00
Good stopping place for overnight. Lots of families and long-term residents. Gravel, grass and dirt. It was quiet. We would stay again. - M.Register
Dec 2015 - $18.00
Nice older campground with few amenities. Single restroom/ shower combo, 1 men's, 1 women's. Lots of long term residents, but everyone seemed friendly enough. Some road and train noise, but not enough to be a bother. Interior roads have some gravel, could use a little more. Easy access to Hwy 165. Good spot for overnight, or a few days to see the sights in the area. - Oldbillm
