Fabulous park! Highly recommend! Level cement sites. Very well designed park for both pull-through and back-in's. Large spaces and wide streets. Design is good for 5th wheels, coaches, and trailers. Lovely lake/pond. Fabulous wifi (recently installed). Well maintained. We stopped for 1 night and stayed for 5... And would have like to stay longer. Absolutely would return if in the New Orleans/Baton Rough, LA area. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Within driving distance from Baton Rouge (1/2 hour), New Orleans (1 hour, I think), plantations and swamp tours (1 hour).

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The PA discount is what drew us to this park along with the very good reviews. PA rate is $21.65, but they are dropping PA after December 2015, reg. rate is $43.29 or $46.62 for a pull thru.they do offer good Sam discount

Reviews for the park are very good but, I'm not sure what all the hype is about! , spacing is very close approx 22' wide , sites are lined up like soldiers, the place reminds me of a mobile home park. All sites are concrete with patio. all roads are concrete, It does have well maintained 2 foot grass strips between sites. There is plenty of room behind your camper, with a fire ring.

WifFi is a very slow, we could not even get on line and measured usage. 750 mb for 48 hours!!

Our biggest complaint is the road noise starting at 6 am, the park is large but if you are a short term and do not want to spring for a pull-thru, you will be placed in an area close to the road, most of the park, 90% seems to be seasonal folks, they get all of the sites in the back of the park which I am sure are quite. The pull thru sites are located in the rear of the park, therefor would be quite.

There is a pool but it is not heated, no hot tub, a nice game room here for the kids, but not much else. I am not impressed with the park and would not be happy paying 50 bucks a night. If you are passing thru and need a place for a night, its safe, and close to the highway rt 10. If you are having a family get together and can get a few sites next to the road and can put up with the traffic noise, that may work for you. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were only here for 3 days, but there is a place across the street, Its a sports bar and has bands on weekends. Also If you are a jogger, the street is too busy to run on but there is a large new housing complex accross the street, you can easily get in 5 miles safely.

As others have said. Nice quite park. Good roads and power and water were good. Nice concrete and level lots. There are no restrooms or showers where they park overnighters. I would have given it a 10 but the internet is so bad and slow. My phone or ipad would not even find a signal. My computer would go off and then not connect either. For the price could use a upgrade on it and have cable. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Lakeside for 10 days. It is a beautiful RV resort--all sites are either on the lake or across from it. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring and is well lit. All concrete sites, patios, and roads. Even with all the rain we had our site stayed dry. Very clean and well kept. Good security. Very nice people in office. 5 mph speed limit enforced. Very dog friendly and has a dog park. Nice pool, although it was closed for the season when we were here. Fishing is allowed in the lake--no license required. Lake has a walking path around part of it. There is a nice laundry room, game room, lounge, and meeting room. This park is about an hour and 5 minutes outside of New Orleans (if there are no traffic delays which is rare). About 20 minutes from Baton Rouge. Closest Walmart is 15 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.

Rate is daily rate including Good Sam discount--rate shown does not include taxes which run about $4/day. They do offer reduced weekly and monthly rates. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart is about 15 minutes away. Baton Rouge has a Sam's Club and Costco and many restaurants. New Orleans a little over an hour away without traffic. Easy on and off I-12.

This is a very nice quiet park. While there are quite a few "residents", they are mostly nice 5th wheels or campers and occupy the back-ins. For overnights, the pull throughs are concrete, mostly level and clean. There is a real nice dog walk along the lake, a pool, clubhouses, game room, playground and friendly folks in the office. Wifi was weak and no cable, so the price is probably about $10 more per night than it should be IMHO. The road leading to the park from I-10 is a little rough, the park's roads are excellent. The pull-throughs do not have a picnic table, just a wood bench.

If we pass through the area again, we'd probably shop around a bit, but wouldn't have an issue with staying overnight with them again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Only stayed one night in a pull through, nice level concrete pad, plenty of room and deathly quiet. I didn't wait for "golf cart guy" to escort me and was verbally reprimanded for it so take note of that. If you're headed west expect terrible traffic going to Baton Rouge, golf cart guy warned me so we left prior to 6AM otherwise suggested wait until 8. I'd stay again it's a very nice well kept campground! We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of shopping and places to eat, we went to Don's seafood and had a great meal.

Not much to add to other reviews. Beautiful park. Closest quality park to Baton Rouge. Wifi is so-so. We're parked right next to the outer road and there is some traffic noise, but it's not objectionable. Be sure to obey the 5 mph rule; after three warnings, you're outta here.

Ok to receive mail here. And a lady just across the street from the park does doggie day care; get her card in the park office.

Weekly rate of $205. Great deal. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

This may be the cleanest, nicest campground we have ever stayed in. Our site was right on the large lake, and we really enjoyed watching the beautiful white swan that begged food from everyone she saw. The clubhouse was well maintained as were all the facilities.
The concrete pad was nice and level and hook-ups were all handy.
We would definitely come back here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

As others have reported, this is one of the cleanest, well kept parks I have ever visited. The office folks are great and attentive. They lead you to your site. The sites are level, concrete and have a table and fire ring. We chose the lakeside spot, although any would be fine. There are about 30% in permanent residents. They all all friendly and their spots clean and quiet. If you fish, the private lake affords crappie, bass, bream, catfish all with beautiful surroundings. The laundry is clean and all machines worked well and at a reasonable price. The game rooms have something for every genre. I will definitely return. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit the small town of Livingston if you like locally prepared food.

At the time of our arrival there was some road construction and when we called they gave us excellent directions to avoid the construction. this was very helpful to us. Without road construction, it would be an easy on/off I 10. The sites were level and quite spacious. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very pretty park! Nice and clean with trees surrounding to give shade. I just have a beef with these parks that say they have Wifi. This park does not have Wifi!!!! But if Wifi is no problem you will like it. Nice meeting rooms and an extra bonus with a game room. Don't get a site near the fence by the road! It's very noisy because of the traffic. Lots of 18 wheelers! We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Fishing pond here, restaurants! About 15 min away is Denham Springs antique district. New Orleans is about 1 hr and 15 minutes!

The rate we paid was Passport America. PLEASE NOTE: Passport America rate is only good Mon-Wed, 1 night only, CASH ONLY, and the park is supposedly dropping passport America Jan. 1, 2016

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We got a back-in site by the lake, which was not as shady, but gave us a good shot at satellite. We had a long, level concrete pad, and it was double wide to allow for a nice patio area, with picnic table included. The park is very clean and well-maintained, with picnic pavilions available for use, and a sparkling, refreshing pool to cool off in. The utilities worked great, and it was easy access to the interstate. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy access to I-12, no road or train noise. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. You can fish the stocked pond without a license. One of the full timers caught a 5lb bass. Great pool and playground. We opted for a lakeside site and really enjoyed our stay here. Sites are spacious and have extra paved parking area. We would stay here again. I thought this was one of the nicer parks we have stayed at. It's about 1.5 miles off I-12, so it was convenient for an overnight stop. Many of the sites are pull-through, and all the sites are paved. We got in too late to use the pool, but it looked nice. The lake provides a very scenic setting. We would definitely stay here again.
