Beautiful park surrounding a sizeable lake. Arrived in a driving rain storm but were still led to our site. Concrete roads and sites with ample grass between sites. There are a significant number of long-term residents, but every site is clean and organized. The lake is clean, clear and has abundant wildlife. We counted a dozen geese and numerous ducks. Great areas to walk your dog with doggie bags and disposal cans positioned all around the lake. Easily accessed from I-12 but no traffic noise from the Interstate. There are a couple of roads on each side of the park and you can hear some traffic if you are outside. Staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Our pull-through accommodated our 45' MH plus towed without disconnecting. It is obvious this is a well-managed RV park. WIFI was adequate but the Verizon signal was strong giving us two internet options. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a quick overnight stop in our 25' motorhome. We were in lake-side site #126. The last lake-side spot on the culdesac. It's got to be one of the best sites in the park. It was VERY large with a perfect view of the lake. The park is very clean and well organized despite being what appeared to be completely full. Check-in was quick and easy. Plenty of grass and a nice long sidewalk around the lake for walking the dog. Had good ATT and T-Mobile connection. We would recommend and stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park, a mile or two from the Interstate meaning easy access and no traffic noise. This a good place to stay for a restful night on a journey along I-10 The sites are concrete and level. This was a big deal to us, as there had been heavy rain in the area and one park we went to was closed because muddy sites. The park had a small lake for fishing or viewing two swans. Nerly $5 of taxes raises the final price to $46.39 for one nights stay. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Previous post were spot on. This well manicured park is set up as a seasonal resort for Large RV's for long term stays. But it is also good for the overnight stop which we did. All roads and sites are cement. We were parked next to a busy road so the traffic noise is there. The free Wifi is with the Tengo Account. The pup loved walking around the lake and the dog park. We would stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great park near Baton Rouge. The sites are good sized, especially the pull through sites. The park is located around a lake, with boats, fishing, basketball courts, volleyball courts, strong wifi, and the standard clean showers, bathrooms and laundry room. The staff was great and the park was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. See our full review and pictures at thegilliamsisland blog. Extremely nice campground. Convenient to I-12, but far enough away that there was no I-12 noise. Staff very pleasant. Many long term guests, but their sites are neat and orderly. Beautiful paved roads and sites with well place utilities that worked well. No cable, but our site was in the open so satillite was no problem and we picked up several local channels on our HD antenna. Beautiful lake with paved path along edge. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with concrete pads and views of the lake behind us. We were gone most days so we weren't here all that much. Our friend who was camping beside us tried fishing and in no time had caught at least a dozen but threw them all back (too small) but you can keep what you catch. There are ducks, geese and 2 swans around the park which are fun to watch. Utilities are in the right spot plus we had a firepit and a picnic table as well as a pad to park our truck on.They also have a small store with firewood sales and a few supplies. Road noise was pretty evident but not annoying. I'd try to stay on the east side next time to be further from the highway. Would stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of shopping nearby as well as a few plantation tours 30-40 minutes away. Houmas House tour was the best out of the 3 we visited (Oak Alley and the Whitney Plantation were the other 2).

This is a very nice park to stay. Easy navigation in the park. Quite with good power and water. Pretty area. Been here before and starting to see people with dogs not cleaning up after them. Lots of mess on the ground. Would stay again if in the area. Roads are great and pretty level sites. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is clean, good pads to park on, big enough for MH and toad. Arrived after office closed and left before it opened. Reservation was easy via phone and registration packet was convenient. No problems, had been a lot of rain so lot was wet, but big enough to stay on solid surface. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Lakeside for 2 nights. Great park with a beautiful lake in the middle and 2 swans who can entertain for hours. Perfectly placed seating areas. No good place to bike or walk outside of park but there is a short walking path around the lake that a person could use to do laps. Road noise is constant but seemed to quiet down enough at night. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We didn't try restaurants or have time for sight seeing. We did shop at a couple of local markets and they are nice plus close. I understand that many people going to New Orleans or Baton Rouge stay here.

Called ahead for a reservation for one night stay as we were passing through. Far enough off I10 to have no interstate noise. Clean, well manicured park with paved roads and concrete sites. Pull-ins, back-ins and pull thru sites. Our pull thru site was very long and level. Friendly folks at check in and nice staff person led us to our site. Nice fishing lake with paved trail around the lake. Fenced dog park. While the park seemed mostly full with regulars/seasonal campers, they did have several pull thru sites available for overnight/short term folks. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is usually our go to spot as it is within a days drive of our Florida Panhandle home. Park is easy in and out, clean, with lots of amenities. It is on a little lake and very quiet even though there is easy access to I 10. When we stop here we are either looking forward to our trip or ready to be home. Either way we appreciate the hospitality. No surprises with hook ups, nice to walk around the small lake, nice club house and pool, nice to compare notes with other RV'rs. Just pleasant. We have never had to have reservations before but on a winter week day it was pretty full so I would call ahead. Picnic tables are kind of weird. Half table that we sat at to over look the lake. Seem to be a lot of full timers but not a lot of junk everywhere. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

4 words, Waynes Real Pit Bar-b-q. Turn right out of the park go up the street over the expressway and its on the left. Take out ribs and real southern mac and cheese. Bring it back to the half picnic table and watch the swans on the lake. Not the Grand Canyon but fun just the same.

I called ahead to let them know that I would arrive shortly after 5 when office closed. They left an envelope with information for my site. The site was nice with a concrete pad and patio. The park is all neat and clean surrounding the lake. I looked in at the camper's lounge which was very nice. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.
