We were traveling West on I-12 is how we found this location. The interior roads and concrete sites were quite a bit nicer than we have seen anywhere else. Water pressure and WiFi were good - no cable. We would definitely stop here again when traveling I-12. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

The entire campground was super clean and very quiet. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The lake made the surroundings look and feel like a state park. The RV park is close to the interstate, but far enough away not to hear road noise. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

So close to Baton Rouge, but far enough to get away from the traffic. Denham Springs, Louisiana is just West of the RV park and full of restaurants.

Just an overnight for us. Convenient to hwy, occasional noise from nearby rd. Wide concrete roads, pads & patios w/ great utility pedestals. Sites are about 5-6' apart, but grass between sites and in park is healthy and trimmed, park is clean, well cared for. There is sparse shade except from the perimeter trees. There are many amenities including a lounge, covered pavilions and a sidewalk that runs around 2/3 of the lake. Staff was friendly and provided escort to the site that helped us back in. VzW is 4G with good coverage. WiFi very good. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed one night heading west. Very well-maintained park. Appeared to have quite a few long term residents. Long, concrete pull-through with FHU (water, 50 amp and sewer). Sites were level and long enough to stay hooked up with our 34' fifth wheel. Sites were a bit close but ok. No problem with noise. Did not use wifi. Rest room and laundry facilities were very clean but had no hot water in washing machines that day. Will stay again if passing through Baton Rouge. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Traveling, so only stayed 2 nights. What a beautiful park. Guided to our Long pull through, cement pad, easy in/out and grass space between. Large clean Lake has sidewalk to stroll around, great for the dogs. Has two swans who are very curious about you! Very clean and friendly place. Highly recommend Lakeside RV Park. Beautiful park surrounding a sizeable lake. Arrived in a driving rain storm but were still led to our site. Concrete roads and sites with ample grass between sites. There are a significant number of long-term residents, but every site is clean and organized. The lake is clean, clear and has abundant wildlife. We counted a dozen geese and numerous ducks. Great areas to walk your dog with doggie bags and disposal cans positioned all around the lake. Easily accessed from I-12 but no traffic noise from the Interstate. There are a couple of roads on each side of the park and you can hear some traffic if you are outside. Staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Our pull-through accommodated our 45' MH plus towed without disconnecting. It is obvious this is a well-managed RV park. WIFI was adequate but the Verizon signal was strong giving us two internet options. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a quick overnight stop in our 25' motorhome. We were in lake-side site #126. The last lake-side spot on the culdesac. It's got to be one of the best sites in the park. It was VERY large with a perfect view of the lake. The park is very clean and well organized despite being what appeared to be completely full. Check-in was quick and easy. Plenty of grass and a nice long sidewalk around the lake for walking the dog. Had good ATT and T-Mobile connection. We would recommend and stay here again. This is a beautiful park, a mile or two from the Interstate meaning easy access and no traffic noise. This a good place to stay for a restful night on a journey along I-10 The sites are concrete and level. This was a big deal to us, as there had been heavy rain in the area and one park we went to was closed because muddy sites. The park had a small lake for fishing or viewing two swans. Nerly $5 of taxes raises the final price to $46.39 for one nights stay. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Previous post were spot on. This well manicured park is set up as a seasonal resort for Large RV's for long term stays. But it is also good for the overnight stop which we did. All roads and sites are cement. We were parked next to a busy road so the traffic noise is there. The free Wifi is with the Tengo Account. The pup loved walking around the lake and the dog park. We would stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great park near Baton Rouge. The sites are good sized, especially the pull through sites. The park is located around a lake, with boats, fishing, basketball courts, volleyball courts, strong wifi, and the standard clean showers, bathrooms and laundry room. The staff was great and the park was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. See our full review and pictures at thegilliamsisland blog. Extremely nice campground. Convenient to I-12, but far enough away that there was no I-12 noise. Staff very pleasant. Many long term guests, but their sites are neat and orderly. Beautiful paved roads and sites with well place utilities that worked well. No cable, but our site was in the open so satillite was no problem and we picked up several local channels on our HD antenna. Beautiful lake with paved path along edge. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with concrete pads and views of the lake behind us. We were gone most days so we weren't here all that much. Our friend who was camping beside us tried fishing and in no time had caught at least a dozen but threw them all back (too small) but you can keep what you catch. There are ducks, geese and 2 swans around the park which are fun to watch. Utilities are in the right spot plus we had a firepit and a picnic table as well as a pad to park our truck on.They also have a small store with firewood sales and a few supplies. Road noise was pretty evident but not annoying. I'd try to stay on the east side next time to be further from the highway. Would stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of shopping nearby as well as a few plantation tours 30-40 minutes away. Houmas House tour was the best out of the 3 we visited (Oak Alley and the Whitney Plantation were the other 2).

This is a very nice park to stay. Easy navigation in the park. Quite with good power and water. Pretty area. Been here before and starting to see people with dogs not cleaning up after them. Lots of mess on the ground. Would stay again if in the area. Roads are great and pretty level sites. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground with many amenities. Campground roads are paved as are all sites. Most sites are back-ins although there are several pull-through sites. All sites are level, wide and long enough for long units and tow vehicle w/room to spare. The campground is well-maintained and clean. Restrooms and laundry are spotless. Staff is very helpful and escort to site is provided. Large man-made lake in center of park w/walking path along shore. Swans, ducks, migratory Canadian geese, blue heron and white heron were in residence. The lake is stocked and campers can fish and keep their catches. There is a large game room and an event center with big screen TV for all campers to use. The campground was decked out for Mardi Gras while we were there giving it a festive appearance. Many long-term campers but the units were clean and well-cared for. Will return. $37, Good Sam We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is not much to do in Livingston, but there are two towns within about 25 miles with restaurants, shopping, etc. About midway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Check at the office for brochures re: attractions.
