I gave this park a 9 for the size of the sites and roads. Getting into the sites is the issue. They get a 1 for the aggravation of their trees. They overhang the entry on many sites so bad that in a pull-through you have to unhook and go around and back into the site. It has been that way for years and they just don't care. Other than that it is a nice park. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

On Saturday they feed the alligators in the atrium. Well worth a visit.

I could see myself spending a week or two here. It's a long way from the usual Louisiana destinations, but worth the trip. Just avoid the backroads that apparently all GPS devices prefer, and take the main highways, even if it means a bit more travel time. The park is definitely a resort, with easy access, wide streets and large sites. Very quiet, clean and well maintained. All services worked just fine. You can walk to the casino next door, or take the complimentary shuttle. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wonderful RV resort that is well worth the trip "off the beaten path".
Concrete roads and sites. Back in and pull thru sites are long and spacious. Great amenities with a nice pool area with kid's splash pad, horseshoes, volleyball, playground area and pool tables in the clubhouse. Rental cabins also available. Free cable and wi-fi. Each site has a patio and picnic table. Park, restrooms and laundry facilities were immaculate. Short walk to the casino or free shuttle is available. Honors Good Sam and Passport America. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here in early December to see the Cirque Borealis show. The sites are level and many are pull-through. The restrooms were large and clean. The Bradford trees had beautiful fall foliage. We will return. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a nearby goat farm selling cheese.

And of course, the Casino.

Our only regret is that we only had 1 night to stay as we were traveling through. Beautiful facility and highly recommend if you're in the Marksville area. We plan to stay a week on our return trip.

The sites are concrete pads and spacious with some shade, a patio and picnic table. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We ate at the Legends Steakhouse in the casino and had a wonderful meal to celebrate my wife's birthday. As we were just passing through, didn't spend any time in the community.

Large level sites with easy pull-throughs. Although not used, the pool and kids park were from appearances nice and clean. Friendly staff and quick shuttle service to the casino. Park appears to be well maintained but could not find the listed on brochure dog walk. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had reservations but arrived a day early, they accommodated us well. They gave us pick of sites, great customer service demonstrated.

Long pull-through sites that can accommodate most big rigs. All paved and concrete. Lots of room to maneuver any size rig. All utilities worked well. Would recommend. Security roaming all the time making us feel safe and secure. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Roaming shuttle buses give rides to casino.

Stayed here one night, did not unhook fifth wheel, no need. We were put in a very level concrete site, there are roving small transport buses to pick you up and take you to the casino. We took advantage of the seafood buffet they offer that night, it was very good. RV park was very quite, restrooms were well kept and very nice. Check in staff was very nice and friendly, looking forward to staying here again. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Daily rate based on free nights by coupon and e-mail offers plus several nights at the Passport America discount. We had 2 stays here of about a week each that encompassed the 1st and 3rd weekends of October. We have been to this resort dozens of times over the past almost 20 years. See my 5/15 review for a description of the facilities and amenities. The negative remarks about golf carts, speeders, and managerial stupidity are still valid. As usual, we have a long, wide, spacious, level, full hookups, cement sites with 60+ plus cable TV channels. Lots of the channels were a bit fuzzy but viewable. Typical of the area, there is no Comedy Central. Again, their WiFi network was fine except on weekends. Although the fall weekends are not as packed with football partying locals as in past, there is still a big difference between weekend and weekday crowds. There are only about 30 sites occupied during the week. There are also maybe a dozen extended stay customers and area workers located mostly in the south east corner of the park. Unfortunately, unlike their competitor over in Kinder, they have already stopped heating and cleaning the pool. It was usable, but just barely, in 80-90 degree weather. Again, great facilities and amenities with several very negative and dangerous (golf cart and speeders) aspects. Some folks on this site may not feel safe here because there are often customers here that do not fit their definition of "safe" people. As has been true almost everywhere on this southern trip, there is NO recycling. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Definitely not 10/10/10 but a great value and worth a stop!

1. Facility - Concrete pads with full hookups. The perimeter sites are unlevel. Sites in the center where we stayed are fine. The park isn't 'pretty' but everything works and it's dirt cheap. Our sewer hookup had been busted and they had replaced it with another connection beside it which was way up off the ground. Whatever maintenance person did that obviously never camped.

2. Pool - nice warm outdoor pool is complimentary. The cold (but beautiful) indoor pool is an extra $10 per person per day. We spent one day at each. It was nice but many people tend to 'sneak in' without armbands and wreak havoc. They could use some better pool attendants to check for armbands and stop roughhousing. I wondered, but never confirmed, if they are letting locals use the pools. They just didn't seem to be typical campers.
3. The main road is under construction, so pay special attention to the entrance. The signage is lacking. We entered from the south and had to turn around in a parking lot because we didn't see the RV park sign, which is an add on to the 'Deliveries' sign.

4. We don't gamble, so I can't speak to that, but the lobby of the casino has an interesting live alligator exhibit.

5. I pulled a 29Meg connection on their wi-fi. It was amazingly fast, but they had streaming services (Netflix) blocked. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It's off the beaten path. We enjoyed the drive and break from I-49. There's really nothing in the town though, it's just a good stopping point for a few days.

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 times in May for a total of 10+ days. Our rate was a combination of PPA and GS discounts plus a couple free nights. The physical facilities (large , pull-through, FHU, cement, sites with cable TV (60 channels) are very good. Most sites are large, cement (both pad and patio), level, pull-through, and open for satellite. The large pool that was closed for 5 days of our stay because of a broken ladder. There is also a playground next to the pool area. The one weekend we were there, the 802.11 system was almost useless because of the number of customers try to use it. We have never had that problem here before. Once again, golf cart users and speeders (both customer and employees) were a serious hazard for anyone walking in the park. The great facilities and amenities in this park are overshadowed by poor management and their failure to address safety concerns. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you don't like crowds/kids, don't come here on big weekends.

Very nice park, Used the shuttle numerous times and found the staff and driver extremely helpful.

Site could have used a little better drainage, had been raining quite a bit and water pooled up on the pad. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stopped here for a couple of nights just rest up, but found the park to be very nice, and clean, large pull-thru's and a friendly staff, they even pick you up at your rig and shuttle you to the Casino. We happened to hit on seafood night at the buffet and it was very good, to top it all off the wife won $86.00 which paid for the food, RV space and she still made a little extra. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Interesting museum close-by regarding the Indians of that area, a Wal-mart is only about 1 mile from the resort, we took a sightseeing drive through a wildlife area and it was a nice break from the highway.

The casino has several specials for food, gaming and etc... we where lucky enough to meet someone on the shuttle who was a seasoned visitor to the resort and they really helped us find some bargains.
