I stayed here for 4 nights working in nearby St. Martinville. The park is clean and most of the sites are away from Hwy 90 so quiet. I was close to the back and it was very quiet. There are a lot of workers staying here and some longer term residents. The road coming in is gravel and a bit rough but nothing too bad. Site is gravel and level, full hook ups, and all back in sites. The campground is very clean and seems well kept, a good bit of trees but none in the way and a good amount of space between sites.
Cash or check only, no credit cards. - DavzCarz
Dec 2017 - $25.00
Stayed 3 nights. WIFI was better than most parks. Host was good to us. Park has mostly long term residents. However, you could not tell they were long term, all sites were clean and orderly for most part. Road noise was not bad. Park has a bunch of speed bumps to keep traffic slow, which it is. We enjoyed our stay in this no frills park. Didn't use restrooms, but office was clean. We would stay again. - FTatcret2013
Jul 2015 - $25.00
The staff is Incredibly rude, took the enjoyment out of the stay. Park looks good until it rains and then it floods. Water covers the roads. Roads have huge pot holes. Bathrooms appear to be clean but are small and dark. - Articrob
Sep 2018 - $24.00
Good for what it is, a zero frills low-cost overnight stop. Back in gravel sites that are easy to get in and out of, FHU, no Wi-Fi. We came in right after a tropical depression and there were plenty of big mud puddles, But we avoided most with a little effort. You can stay at another site for a lot more money or stay at Walmart for free, but if you want inexpensive digs overnight then this fits the bill. With movies and dining nearby, were happy with this as an overnight stop. The manager was very nice and easy-going. - darwinmoore
May 2016 - $20.00
We stay here when we are in Lafayette. A lot of work is being done to clean up, trees trimmed so Satelite works on most sites. Close to good food. No pool but who cares I don't come to Lafayette for a pool. If you use Silver Sneakers Snap fitness is about 1/2 miles, I need to work out after all the food. Go to BJ's for a Shrimp PoBoy and fries. You won't be disappointed, about 1/2 mile. - User2314
Sep 2014 - $20.00
Spent one night at this park and while the park manager was friendly and nice, will not stop again. Traffic noise was so loud you felt like you were in the median strip on the highway and did not let up until after 10:30 or so. It appeared there were a number of old and abandoned RVs parked there. Since our camper has no bathroom, we had to use the shower and restroom, and they were in bad shape. There was a plunger by the toilets which were not functioning properly, no exhaust fan of any type that I could see for the showers, and not clean. That experience taught me to look at the bathrooms to check them before parking there. - Travellite14
Dec 2013 - $15.00
We pulled in this afternoon to find the office locked with no notes on how to contact the owner nor what to do if they weren't there. We couldn't tell where they put RVs as it looked to be pretty full already with most of the park single wide long term owners. Someone drove by and said they'd go get the owner and 15 minutes later they came back and said the owner had been notified they had a customer and would be over shortly. We hung around for another 20 minutes, walked through the park and decided to leave. I give them a zero for not being foresighted enough to have provided contact information or at the very least, instructions on where to park if no one was around. We were tired, hungry and wanted to get settled in for the night, not waiting around for hours. We won't be back. - User3326
Nov 2010 - $9.00
We used Passport America discount. Older park, needed grass cut, small sites, friendly people, new bathrooms, showers and laundry. Nice pub within walking distance.(Culpeppers). Would really question ability to handle large rigs. OK for short stays. PA site says fire rings, none seen. - retiredgeezer
Apr 2012 - $15.00
This is a small, country campground on Lake Peigneur. The owner is a retired gentleman that is very accommodating and easy to get along with. There is a pier, boat launch, and a clubhouse. Sites 13 and 17 are the best for lakeside parking. There is a dump station. The reason I rated it an 8 is because there are no restrooms or showers or sewer hookups and only 30amp electric. This is a fantastic campground for a weekend getaway on the lake. - malojeer
Oct 2018 - $50.00
Great KOA. Outstanding office folk. I was camped in sp. 314 which was paved and mostly level. I preferred this section of the CG for sure. Although, it is a long walk to get to Billy's Boudin & Cracklins but ok. I booked this KOA due to its proximity to Avery Island and the Tabasco Factory (great tour). I would definitely come back. - olddeadhead
Sep 2018 - $52.00
Great KOA. We like the new section because it is farther from the Interstate and is Satellite friendly. Great staff and the best Boudin in the world is right next door at Billy's. - Grumpa
Jul 2018 - $45.00
This very clean, quaint campground is located on the I-10 corridor, conveniently nestled far enough from the Interstate to preserve some peace and quiet. It is configured around a large pond. I found the owners extremely helpful, offering to find just the right spot for me on a very hot summer day. They have a nicely stocked camp store which seemed reasonably priced. The restrooms are clean. I've spent a total of two nights at this campground though they were so good to me that I will be back for a longer stay during my travels. - talldriver
Dec 2017 - $24.00
City owned park just outside of town. Very quiet. Good utilities. Camp host helpful and available. My one negative is the place is lit up like a mall parking lot at night. - jnateg
Mar 2017 - $24.00
Calm and quiet city park. Camp host was always available and a great guy. No facilities. Club house that we didn't explore. Sites clean and fairly level. Large with lots of space in between. Full hookups with 30 and 50 amp. Most of the sites have firepits, ours didn't. We backed up to the woods and were wakened at night with hooting owls. Lots of bird-watching in the park itself. Feels like a state park in terms of beauty and privacy, but with full hookups and very good wifi. Verizon signal strong. - jenshick
Dec 2016 - $24.00
We stayed at Abbeville RV Park in Abbeville, Louisiana for a few nights. Nice city park with full hookups, $24/night. Friendly and helpful park host. The Tabasco Factory and Rip Van Winkle Gardens are worth visiting. Beautiful Cajun country. Great local food. Palmetto Island State Park is another good option for the area, but 10 miles further out from stores and restaurants. We would stay here again. - drfife
Aug 2018 - $13.00
Having been to RV parks in all 49 mainland states, coming back here is like coming home. It is a small park with 17 sites, but after one night, you know all of the other 16 site occupants as that is the goal. The sites are level with full hook-ups. There is a covered patio for the nightly get together which may include a meal with the main dish supplied by owner (excellent cook and gumbo is simply the best). You won't want to leave when your time is up and sometimes you can extend. Highly recommend reservations. In RV world, you will always remember your stay and will want to come back. - RJourney

Are you kidding me!!!! We have stayed at Betty's many times, why? its the best! We have been full timing for almost 12 years, we have stayed in many parks in many states and NEVER, and I mean NEVER, do we have as much fun, comrade, love and relaxation as we do at Betty's. We hate to leave Betty's, and when we do leave, we can not wait to get back! The sites are as good if not better than other parks we go to. If you are looking for concrete pads, golf course greens, etc...you may want to try this park out and if your heart is in it, you will love this place!!!! The owner, is an absolute doll, with lots of smarts and experiences! She knows how to bring people together! And...if your real lucky, you will taste food from the best cook in Louisiana! The music, the laughter, the friends you will make will never be better than here.....I challenge anyone to prove me wrong, As I said, we have been all over, there is nothing better! Internet...go close to the office...it works fine...if you need it more than a few minutes a day, your missing some fun! TV, get the sat geared up and if you are watching that, you are missing the fun! This kind of place, these kind of people are not everywhere.......do yourself a favor, enjoy this location and the people around it and your life will be a joy!!!!!! There is more positive stuff to say, but I am running out of room! Wish I was at Betty's!!!! - Madgoan
Mar 2018 - $16.00
When we went on the road eleven years ago we had many places we wanted to visit, but Betty's RV Park was the only RV park on our to do list. It did not disappoint and we have returned many times. Betty's is in the heart of Cajun country. Betty is a great hostess who makes sure all her RVers have a great Cajun experience with tours of local cultural sites, restaurants and music venues. Betty's patio and deck, the site of happy hour, is a great place to gather with and make friends. If you are looking for a unique Cajun experience, Betty's should be on your must do list. - rhome
Sep 2018 - $25.00
One night stay, No service at office, filled out envelop and left money, Tight roads in and out, Site pad uneven, 50amp & water was good. Do not use dump station. Was very quite at night as there was only one 5th wheel in the park. - Doc B
May 2018 - $25.00
This park has very narrow roads and mostly short asphalt. Water and electric hookups are distant to the sites in some cases. The park appears very neglected. It is gated requiring a code to get in and out. We would probably not stay here again. - Lula1943
Apr 2018 - $25.00
This park was great for a quiet, restful place for an overnighter on our way to another state. Very few other campers. A very nice ranger station located in the park and a nice trail (although we did not have time to explore.) I saw my first owl in nature here! We unfortunately had battery issues the following morning (a problem with our RV power converter), and the campground manager came to our rescue with a charger! - LeeMc4
Dec 2018 - $31.00
Easy on and off I-10 with a big rig has station near entrance. Cable worked great, had fresh cookies at arrival and showed us to our spot. - Scooterd16
Nov 2018 - $37.00
Great friendly park. Plenty of space. WiFi strong. AT&T and Verizon too. Interstate traffic not bothersome. Trains a few times a day were noticeable. Shady spots in the back of the park. We would definitely stay here again. - MsLucy
Oct 2018 - $37.00
Stayed 2 nights, long level pull thru, all hookups worked well, good cable and wi-fi. Some train noise and campground is close to 1-10. Overall we would stay here again. - DBSnowbirds
Oct 2018 - $35.00
Was once a nice park, but has been severely neglected over the past few years. Bathrooms not cleaned once during our stay (4 days). OK for a overnight stopover, but that's about it. - JCH44
Apr 2018 - $28.00
Nice clean, quiet park. The owner was very friendly and helpful. All the hookups worked well. The park is a bit off the beaten path, so there was no traffic noise. We stayed on a Saturday, so neither our Passport America nor our Good Sam cards counted for discounts. However, the value was still satisfactory. We would return to this park. - John A Guderian
Oct 2017 - $18.00
Really hate to make negative comments about a facility, especially when the owners are no nice and park so attractive. The park is located about 12 miles off of I-10 on some of the roughest roads we have traveled on in Louisiana. We have driven on some dirt roads not as rough. Tree branches lining the paved road in the RV park need to be trimmed as some thin/light branches brushed against the coach several times as we transitioned thorough the park.
The sites are extremely narrow, some of the narrowest we have seen. If all the sites were being used, you would not be able to extend slides and awnings if your neighbors were attempting the same. Park had very few RV's during our stay. When not busy/at capacity, our site functioned as a drive thru, however at busier times, there would be two RV's on the site, back-to-back and the site would be a back-in. Sites, in my opinion, just do not lend themselves to any outdoor patio enjoyment/living. Too narrow, no adequate room for carpet, picnic table, BBQ or chairs. With that said, our overnight stay was only $17.50 for full hookups with Passport America discount.
Roads in the park are paved and narrow. Most sites appear level with concrete pads, some beginning to crack and a few with broken sections and very small grass patio. All utilities worked as intended with pedestals very close to the coach on both sides.
This park has a very large recreational and play area. Lots of open fields, lovely pool area and large covered pavilion. Park was clean and grass cut. Open sky for satellite reception. Verizon, Sprint and T Mobile all worked well. This venue would lend itself well to a family reunion with children where all activities were at the main pavilion and pool area.
The Passport America rate is awesome, however I do not believe we would return to this park primarily due to the rough 10 mile drive in and out and the narrow campsites. - ECM1
