1 Park near Morgan City, Louisiana
Dec 2015 - $36.00
Nice city park on the water. All amenities except cable, I was only able to bring in the local channel which had awful programing and was only on air a short time each day. This park is used by the locals as a weekend party destination and is an interesting and fun kinda place! - dewbon1

Awful experience as a tent camper:
1. The tent sites are located adjacent to a busy road where you will hear lots of road noise. More than a few people driving pick up trucks without mufflers. No sleep!
2. The hot water was turned off in the showers, for the entire duration of our stay. Lovely.
3. Their lawn maintenance guys seem to enjoy revving up the mowers before 8 AM (BTW- the park's stated quiet hours are 11 PM - 8 AM.). It gets better... while visiting my family in a RV site, witnessed on two separate days, the mowers operating within their site while we were outside. Just rude and inconsiderate.
4. Tent site = $24 RV site = $20
I would love to hear someone attempt to justify $24 for a tent site, especially considering items 1-3 noted above. We were the only tent campers for 2 of the 3 nights, so no, this isn't a high demand tent camping park.
Yes, this is a beautiful park located directly on the Lake but the cons outweigh the pros at this park. - OTL2015

I reviewed this camp ground before but felt I needed to update from our most recent visit.
Overall, the campground is the same. Quiet, clean and most sites very roomy. Except for the one we were in.
This review is to warn everyone to try their best to stay away from spot #50!
After having stayed in this park multiple time, this was the first TRULY disappointing spot we have ever had.
The way the hook-ups are they are placed very far to the back of the sight and there is a tree you have to work around to be tied in. I have 25' of sewage line and it was stretched also my power cord is an easy 30+' and I was almost stretched all the way out. To make it all work we had to park towards the back on the site and that put us right in front of site #51 hook-ups. Basically, the room we had coming out the camper was the length of the awning. So sitting outside under the awning was very cramped due to the utility equipment (water, power) being right at our door step.
Thankfully we were camping with friends so we ended up spending a lot of time in site #51 (great site BTW).
It seems like they were trying to squeeze a site between 49 & 51 just to have another site.
Overall our stay was uneventful and nice even with the inconvenient site set-up. - jf831024
